Where do i put fca to make it work properly

any help would be greatly appreciated.

FCA Cubed is a plug-in.  Place it in the new plug-ins folder of your TNM and then install it as you would any other plug-in.

when trying to add a match it says  illegal function call in module buttone

Unfortunately FCA tends to be pretty buggy.  And since it's not an 'official' plug-in Oliver can offer little to no help.  Chances are if you can't get it to work you might just be stuck.

Does it work properly for anyone? It's so damn FRUSTERATING
americamamushiPosted on 08/26/05 at 07:24:01

they only problems I've had with it were after creating matches about 25% of the time after I was done the match would be corrupt and unusable, meaning that I'd have to re-create it from scratch if I wanted it and hope that the same random bug didn't infect the new one.

At one point someone was talking about making a new FCA.  It might have been Ryan Solberg, but he hasn't been back to the boards in quite a bit.

I dont know if it's allowed but do u have a messanger so you can send me a copy of your workable FCA

it would be greatly appreciated.

is there anyone who can help me
americamamushiPosted on 08/27/05 at 03:04:45

don't have a messanger service and I haven't used FCA for a little while now anyway so I don't have it on my computer anymore.  Sorry. :(

I've essentially given up on FCA Cubed as well. I can't remember even one match I've downloaded which worked dependably, and the constant crashing of the match editor made it too much of a time-waster to be worthwhile. You're better off just writing out the match yourself.

I use the FCA Cubed program quite a bit and couldn't imagine getting by without it. However, I deleted the matches that came with it and only run matches I created myself.
It does seem to be very sensitive and while creating you have to save frequently as a single slipup on your part (usually typing past the end line) crashes it. I also found that if a match you created crashes deleting the last action created might make it work. Repeat until it works. Each match seems to have an random endpoint beyond which you cannot add more actions without it crashing. I have created matches with a lot of actions and some with much less before I reached the "crash point".
Something that worked for me in older TNM's was to install the older version of FCA Cubed, import the version 1 matches, then install version 2 of FCA Cubed. This was necessary for me in older builds but was no longer necessary in the most recent build. You might try it.
Still, once or twice a year a match crashes for some inexplicable reason. Hopefully, it won't be a critical match.
