This is cross-posted, since I believe more people check out this forum than the individual circuit forums. :)

*****************

We are rapidly moving toward June 27th and New York City where Global Championship Wrestling will change the wrestling world with the Super Cade pay-per-view! As summer is quickly approaching, things are certainly heating up here in GCW, and that was definitely the case as Monday Night Explosion invaded Hartford, Connecticut! Tonight's card was absolutely stacked as we would see Chris Benoit defending his World Heavyweight Title against Booker T, Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar going one-on-one, Teddy Hart taking on The Amazing Red, North American champion Randy Orton and Lance Storm locking up in a non-title match, and in our opening contest, World Tag Team Titles on the line as the Basham Brothers put the gold up for grabs against Shawn Michaels and Eddie Guerrero!

Match #1
World Tag Team Title Match
The Basham Brothers (c) (w/ Shaniqua) vs. "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels/"Latino Heat" Eddie Guerrero
Shaniqua's boys, Doug and Danny Basham, had a huge obstacle ahead of them tonight as they defended their gold against Shawn Michaels and Eddie Guerrero. Michaels and Guerrero are not a regular tag team, but they are good friends and both know what it takes to be successful in the tag team ranks, but having held tag team championships in the past. Michaels and Guerrero had the advantage for much of the early part of this contest, as it appeared that the champs were intimidated by the legend of HBK and Latino Heat. The Bashams, being the young lions they are, fought back though, and we had ourselves a decent little tag match.

Late in this back and forth contest, Michaels and Guerrero had regained the upper hand after Eddie caught Danny Basham with a brain buster. At this point, North American champion Randy Orton sprinted down to ringside and pulled Michaels off the ring apron causing him to hit the floor. Michaels was stunned, but when he saw Orton, he ran right after him. Orton took off to the back as quick as he possibly good, knowing he had angered the Showstopper all the more. Guerrero went for a tag, but realized that he no longer had a partner. As Guerrero looked puzzled toward the locker room, Danny Basham cracked him down behind with a knee to the back. Doug Basham jumped in the ring, and the champs brought Guerrero up and then back down with the Ball And Gag Bomb, and I don't care who you are; it's over after that.

The Basham Brothers (Doug Basham and Danny Basham) defeated Eddie Guerrero and Shawn Michaels when Danny Basham pinned E. Guerrero after the Ball And Gag Bomb in 0:11:51.
Rating: ** 3/4
(The Basham Brothers retained the GCW World Tag Team Titles.)

Shaniqua was very pleased with her boys winning the match as she had a huge sadistic smile on her face. At this point, with Eddie Guerrero out of it, the ever-opportunistic CHRIS JERICHO sprinted into the ring and locked Guerrero in the Walls of Jericho! Y2J reared back on the painful submission hold as the GCW Official Brigade ran in and tried to pull Jericho off of Guerrero. Eventually Chris Jericho released the hold, but the damage had been done. We're certainly off to the fast pace here tonight, aren't we? Officials helped Guerrero to the back as we cut to commercial.

[As we return from break, GCW interviewer Mario Riviera is backstage with the World's Greatest Tag Team, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. The former World Tag Team champions both have huge smiles on their faces.]

MR: Mr. Haas, Mr. Benjamin, you both look awfully happy tonight. You asked for this interview time so you could share something. What is it that you'd like to share?

CH: We look awfully happy, Mario, because we are awfully happy! It took us a few days, but we've figured out a plan to get our World Tag Team Titles back. Isn't that right, Shelton?

SB: You betcha ass, it is! Shaniqua, you want to play little mind games with me, deprive us of our rightful rematch? That's fine... we can play games too. We're so confident that we can beat the Bashams and get back our gold that here's what we propose. Shaniqua, you give the World's Greatest Tag Team a title shot at Super Cade. If we win, we become the champs. If we lose, which isn't likely, I, Shelton Benjamin, will be your personal love slave for 30 days!

[The crowd can be heard jeering at this prospect. Who would want to be Shaniqua's love slave for any amount of time, let alone a whole month?]

SB: That would be a fate worse than death, but that's how confident we are. We're not the World's Greatest Tag Team for nothin'!

CH: It's your move, Shaniqua.

[Benjamin slaps Haas on the back as they both leave the area.]

MR: The offer is on the table, but will Shaniqua and the Bashams accept it? We'll have to wait and see. Joe O'Donnell, Brian Wagner, back to you at ringside!

Match #2
Elimination Fatal Fourway
Billy Kidman vs. Paul London vs. The Hurricane vs. "Primetime" Elix Skipper (w/ Daffney)
We had a fun little match here as four of the most exciting cruiserweights in GCW locked up in an elimination style fourway as Billy Kidman, Paul London, The Hurricane, and Elix Skipper danced in the ring. The crowd generally enjoys matches like this. They're not always the most fluid matches, but you know you're going to see something exciting and interesting to watch, and these four gave Hartford and the television audience something fun to watch.

This match was fun, if not a little long. When you get four fast-moving individuals involved in one match like this, it's hard for one man to pull away from the pack. Eventually, we would get an elimination when Elix Skipper lost his cool after hitting a ropewalk moonsault on Paul London and getting what he thought was a 3 count, but referee Antonio Santangelo disagreed, saying London got his shoulder up at 2. Skipper couldn't believe it as he shoved Santangelo to the mat. Skipper grabbed London and hit him with the Play of the Day, but as Skipper made the cover, Santangelo called for the bell and disqualified Skipper! Skipper couldn't believe it as he grabbed Santangelo and threatened to clock him, but Billy Kidman quickly ran in and stopped he attack, dropping Skipper with the BK Bomb. Skipper rolled out of the ring and he and Daffney retreated to he back.

While Kidman was disposing of Skipper, his tag team partner Paul London had recovered enough to roll Kidman up, but Kidman kicked out. The next several minutes involved a lot of Kidman and London having a friendly rivalry, trying to one-up the other, with bits of The Hurricane sprinkled into the match. The Hurricane did a good job of keeping himself fresh throughout this lengthy contest. The next man to be eliminated would be Paul London, as he went for one of his moonsault dropkicks, but Kidman caught him and dropped him with the BK Bomb. Kidman went up top and followed with his Shooting Star Press and he had eliminated his own partner from the contest. London got up and he and Kidman shook hands before The Hurricane came in and rolled Kidman up from behind for a two count.

Kidman and Hurricane remained, and it was obvious that Hurricane had a lot more left in the tank than Kidman. Kidman used his energy up quickly, hitting Hurricane with a nice tornado DDT, but when he went up for the Shooting Star Press, he took too long as the Man In Green was able to roll out of the way. Hurricane capitalized with a couple of jumping clotheslines and a floating neckbreaker before catching Kidman with the Eye of the Hurricane. Game, set, match.

Four Corners Match:
The Hurricane defeated Billy Kidman, Paul London and Elix Skipper:
x London beat Skipper via disqualification in 0:11:58
x Kidman beat London via the Shooting Star Press in 0:17:58
x Hurricane beat Kidman via the Eye Of The Hurricane in 0:20:29
Rating: *** 1/2

An impressive victory for the superhero as The Hurricane wrestled a perfect match. It also appeared as though The Hurricane took Billy Kidman off the suspects list for the man who attacked him, as after the contest, The Hurricane and Kidman exchanged a handshake. Alas, the Hurricane's search for the culprit continues.

[We are in the ring where "The Whole F'n Show" Rob Van Dam is standing in the ring with a microphone. This is kind of surprising, as generally, RVD doesn't speak. He prefers to keep it low-key and laid back. After his music stops playing, he speaks.]

RVD: I don't do this often, but last week, RVD was wrong. I'm going to fix that wrong right now. Tommy Dreamer, could you come out here please?

[Tommy's Dreamer's music starts and out comes the Innovator of Violence. He walks down to the ring and gets a microphone of his own from ringside.]

RVD: I know we have a match right here in a couple minutes. This doesn't happen too often, but last week, Rob Van Dam was wrong. I should have shaken your hand like a man. You beat me fair and square. I lost my cool. I was frustrated, so I disrespected you. I'm sorry.

[RVD extends his hand to Dreamer.]

TD: Apology accepted. I understand how it goes. This is a competitive business. You want to be the best, and getting frustrated can happen quite easily. I'm glad you were man enough to admit you were wrong. You don't get a lot of that these days.

[Dreamer shakes RVD's hand. This gets a decent pop.]

RVD: Good, but rest assured that it's going to be me offering you the handshake after this match, because lightning won't strike twice. You can put me down once, but it won't happen again, because I'm [Points to himself] ROB... VAN... DAM.

[The crowd cheers as Dreamer cracks a bit of a smile.]

TD: We'll see about that, Rob.

[RVD and Dreamer cast their mics aside as Joey Daniels enters the ring and rings the bell to start this match.]

Match #3
"The Whole F'n Show" Rob Van Dam vs. "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer
Rob Van Dam was upset that he has been on a losing streak as of late, which continued last week when he fell to his opponent tonight, Tommy Dreamer. RVD asked for a rematch and before the match apologized from walking away from Dreamer's handshake offer, which was a sign that maybe RVD is getting it back together. RVD came out in this one at 100 miles per hour, hitting Dreamer with a variety of unique kicks. If there's one thing you can say about Dreamer though, is that he can take a beating and keep on coming. Dreamer won't win any technical wrestling contests, but he can take a shot to the head and hit you back twice as hard. RVD went for the Rolling Thunder, perhaps a bit too early as Dreamer got his knees up, hurting Van Dam's back. Dreamer dumped the Whole F'n Show to the floor and followed him out.

Dreamer attempted to whip RVD into the post, but RVD reversed it and Dreamer smacked his head hard. RVD rolled the Innovator of Violence back in the ring and immediately sprung to the top rope for the Five Star Frog Splash, but it was still too early as Dreamer got out of the way. RVD cracked his ribs hard, knocking the wind out of himself. Dreamer recovered and out of nowhere planted RVD with the Dreamer DDT. This was deja vu from last week as Dreamer had once again defeated Rob Van Dam!

Tommy Dreamer pinned Rob Van Dam with the Dreamer DDT in 0:04:32.
Rating: ** 1/2

You know RVD is off his game when he loses a match to the same opponent in the same manner two weeks in a row. As RVD got back to his feet, Dreamer once again offered him a handshake. RVD was still very upset that he lost again, but Dreamer was persistent. Eventually, RVD shook his hand, but with his other hand, he slapped Dreamer right across the face! The crowd booed RVD big time as he jumped out of the ring, slapping the ring apron as he went. Dreamer was too stunned by what had just happened to retaliate. What is wrong with Rob Van Dam these days?

* * * * *

[We hear "Evolution" come in over the sound system, which immediately brings the crowd to their feet. The fans of Hartford boo loudly as out from the curtain steps North American champion Randy Orton, a member of the Sensationals. The ever smug Orton has the North American Title around his waist to match the cocky smile of his. He gets in the ring and climbs the turnbuckle, playing to the crowd. He steps down and grabs the microphone from William Buck as his music fades out.]

RO: Why don't all of you idiots shut up, get on your feet, and pay very close attention. You'll want to be able to tell your grand kids one day that for one night, your pathetic little existences were brightened when you got to see a legend being born, that you got to see Randy Orton!

[The fans lay into Orton hardcore with boos and verbal insults. Orton merely shrugs it off.]

RO: You can all boo me as much as you want, but here in about 2 minutes, you'll realize how great I am when I destroy Lance Storm! Destroy Lance Storm in a NON-TITLE match. You see, Lance Storm isn't worthy of a North American Title shot. What has Lance Storm ever done other than prove to be a major league cheater? You want a shot at my championship, you have to prove yourself to be a man of integrity and pride, something you're not Lance! Just like Shawn Michaels!

[The crowd pops for the mention of Michaels' name. A small chant of "HBK!" breaks out.]

RO: Yeah, you all chant for Michaels! Chant your little hearts out! The fact still remains that on any given day, Randy Orton is better than Shawn Michaels! Michaels wants to blame me for him not being the number-one contender. The man he should be blaming is Father Time, for he has ravaged Michaels useless! Michaels, you used to be great, but you just can't cut it anymore. You may not think you've passed the torch, but I have TAKEN it! You can't keep up with me anymore, old man, so play it smart and forget this little crusade you're on to take me out, because you're just going to end up crippled... or worse. So...

[Thankfully, before Orton can stroke his own ego any more, he is interrupted by the music of Lance Storm, his opponent for the evening. Storm slides in the ring as Orton cockily flips the microphone out of the ring and removes his North American Title. The two circle up as the bell is rung.]

Match #4
Non-Title Match
Randy Orton (North American champion) vs. Lance Storm
You don't have to like the man's attitude, but Randy Orton could very well be the future of this business. At age 24, he is already the North American champion and with his family lineage, is far more knowledgeable than most stars his age. Lance Storm has paid his dues though and has a vast library of wrestling knowledge, considered by many to be one of the top technical wrestlers of the last 25 years. The only thing Storm was lacking seemingly was confidence, and he has earned that in a big way, racking up several victories including ones over Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho. Orton didn't want to be the next Sensational to fall to the Calgary, Alberta, Canada native and he took it right to Storm.

A great match between these two superstars. Both are very technically sound and the fans really appreciated this wrestling contest. Surprisingly, through most of this match, Orton played it straight, not doing anything to gain an unfair advantage. It was almost as if he wanted to prove he could outwrestle someone the caliber of Lance Storm, and to the North American champion's credit, he held his own. As this match wore on, Orton looked to be getting frustrated as no matter what he tried, Storm would fight back from it. Late in the match, Orton went to hit the R.K.O., but Storm pushed him off into the ropes and caught the champion under the chin with a superkick. Orton groggily got back to his feet as Storm rushed him with a spinning leg lariat, but Orton ducked and the lariat connected with referee Jimmy Appleseed's head, knocking him out. Storm tried to stay on Orton, heading to the top rope, but the referee being knocked out was the perfect window of opportunity for Steve Bradley to make his presence felt. Bradley grabbed Storm's foot, crotching the Canadian superstar on the top turnbuckle. Orton then hooked Storm's head and pulled him out so Storm was hanging by his feet horizontally with his feet on the top ropes. Orton grabbed Storm's head and dropped him with a high angle DDT that got an audible cringe from the fans in Hartford. Storm was down and out, but as Orton saw the ref recovering, he wanted the ref to suspect nothing, so he hit Storm with an R.K.O. for good measure.

Non-Title Match:
Randy Orton pinned Lance Storm with the R.K.O. in 0:13:52.
Rating: ****

It's so hard to beat any of the Sensationals because of their gang mentality. If you're fighting one, you're fighting all four of them, and Lance Storm found that out the hard way tonight. In addition, Steve Bradley continues to be a thorn in Lance Storm's side. Storm will have his chance to remove that thorn at Super Cade.

Match #5
Television Title Match
"The Role Model" AJ Styles (c) vs. Justin Credible
The Television Title was on the line as the first and only TV champion to date AJ Styles defended his gold against Justin Credible. Credible may be a little upset that the Sensationals didn't want him to be a member, but winning the Television Title would turn that frown upside down. The only problem is it's not the easiest thing in the world to beat AJ Styles. Styles has flew under the radar for years now, but he's determined to show the world what he's capable of. Credible is quite capable himself, as he got some offense in on Styles, but in the end, a short lariat and a handful of tights were enough for Styles to remain Television champion.

AJ Styles pinned Justin Credible after a short lariat in 0:05:52.
Rating: ***
(AJ Styles retained the GCW Television Title.)

With each week, Styles becomes a little more impressive in retaining his Television Title. If this keeps up, who is going to be the person to dethrone him?

* * * * *

[The camera cuts to backstage to a shot of a locker room door that reads "The Sensationals" on it. The door opens and we see the Sensationals: Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, Steve Bradley, and North American champion Randy Orton. The atmosphere in the room is that of being on top of the world. You can just feel the ego shining out of this room.]

KA: That's how the Sensationals get things done! Randy, excellent job of putting Lance Storm in his place. That's why you're the future of this business. You set him up, and at Super Cade, the Baddest Mofo in GCW, Steve Bradley will take him out!

SB: Lance Storm is a flash in the pan. He's most definitely not the Baddest Mofo on this, or any show. At Super Cade, he's going to find out exactly who his daddy is!

KA: This could be a defining night for the Sensationals, it's true. Through hard work, dedication, and the three I's, tonight I'm going to humiliate Brock Lesnar!

[At this point, Angle is unaware, but Brock Lesnar has entered the locker room and stands behind Angle, who is facing the other three members of the Sensationals. Throughout the following, Jericho, Orton, and Bradley do their best to alert Angle of Lesnar's presence, but Angle is almost in a trance.]

KA: What that big oaf needs to realize is that he is no Kurt Angle! He thinks he's big and tough because he won a couple of NCAA championships in wrestling... oooooooooooooh! Been there, done that! Did Brock Lesnar ever win a World championship? Did Brock Lesnar ever win a freakin' gold medal in the Olympic games!? No! Since this company started, all I hear backstage is who would win in a match between Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar. Who's the better wrestler. Tonight, with intensity, integrity, and intelligence, I will put Brock Lesnar in his place. Oh it's d**n true! Heck, if Brock Lesnar was here right now, I'd...

BL: You'd what, Angle!?

[Angle spins around and bumps his face into Lesnar's shoulder and almost jumps out of his skin.]

KA: Oh... hey Brock. How are you?

BL: Cut the crap, Angle. You've got precious little time before you have to go one-on-one with Brock Lesnar. I am an absolute monster. I've taken the best this sport has to offer and left them lying, crying, and sighing. What makes you think that I won't tear you apart as well?

KA: This Olympic gold medal!

BL: Don't flaunt that thing in my face or I'll jam it down your throat! All of your accolades won't mean a d**n thing when I run right through you. And if you're a real man, you'll keep your little lackey squad here away from the ring. You talk about what a world class athlete you are, how you're the best wrestler in the world. Why don't you nut up or shut up!?

KA: I don't need the Sensationals to beat you, Brock. I don't need anything but the three I's...

BL: The only "I" you're going to need after tonight is an IV when I put your ass in the hospital! Have fun tonight, Kurt... here comes the pain!

[Lesnar turns and leaves the room as all of the Sensationals, especially Angle look a bit shaken. Lesnar has gotten into Angle's head.]

* * * * *

Match #6
Goldust vs. Steve "Who's Your Daddy?" Bradley
After having Brock Lesnar invade the Sensationals' locker room, Steve Bradley looked a little rattled as he came out for his match tonight. The thing is, you don't want to be distracted when you're facing Goldust, who is hard enough to beat when you're 100% focused. Goldust took advantage of Bradley's shaken state, punishing him right from the get-go. Goldust is an eccentric man, no doubt, but he's also a tough Texas boy, and Bradley was learning that firsthand.

Goldust had the upperhand for the majority of this match, but sometimes, it only takes one mistake for the tides to turn. Late in the match, Goldust went for the Curtain Call, but Bradley flipped over out of it and dropped Goldust with an inverted DDT. Moments later, Bradley hit a vertical facebuster. With his feet on the ropes, Steve Bradley narrowly escaped Hartford with a victory.

Steve Bradley pinned Goldust after a vertical facebuster in 0:08:22.
Rating: *** 3/4

Goldust did everything right in this match except for win. Steve Bradley also showed that he is very resourceful as this was his biggest win to date. He is proving himself to be a commodity for the Sensationals each and every week. Goldust received a nice round of applause for his efforts as he headed to the back.

* * * * *

[In the offices of GCW President Ryan Niemiller]

RN: Throughout the show, I have been making several phone calls to the GCW Board of Directors with regards to getting a couple matches sanctioned. I'm pleased to report that myself and the Board of Directors have come to an agreement, and I am honored to announce another three matches that will take place at Super Cade. First of all, after looking over the request of Shelton Benjamin and speaking to Shaniqua, the World Tag Team Titles will be on the line at Super Cade as the Basham Brothers will defend their titles against the World's Greatest Tag Team. And if Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas are not victorious, Mr. Benjamin will be contractually obligated to Shaniqua for 30 days. Another title match has been signed involving the North American Title. Due to the champion Randy Orton's actions at Mayhem in costing Shawn Michaels the number-one contendership for the World Heavyweight Title, it has been determined that as runner-up in that Fatal Fourway that Shawn Michaels is the number-one contender for the North American Title, and he will get that title shot at Super Cade!

[A loud crowd pop is heard for this announcement.]

RN: And finally, it has been no secret that since the opening of Global Championship Wrestling, Eddie Guerrero and Chris Jericho have been going at it tooth and nail. Each man has attacked the other before, during, and after their respective matches several times, and it's becoming a safety risk for the personnel of GCW. After speaking to the Board of Directors, it has been determined that this feud needs to be ended once and for all before it becomes any more dangerous. A match has been signed pitting Eddie Guerrero and Chris Jericho against each other for Super Cade. However, to ensure this one comes to a decisive ending, special stipulations are necessary. To make sure that this stays one-on-one, it has been determined that this match will be a first in Global Championship Wrestling. These two will compete in the confines of a 15-foot steel cage! The only way to win this match is to escape the cage, whether by going over the top or through the door. One way or another, this dispute will be settled!

[Another huge crowd pop.]

RN: Ladies and gentlemen, enjoy the rest of the evening.

[Cut back to the ring.]

Match #7
On Commentary: Cruiserweight champion Rey Mysterio Jr.
The Amazing Red vs. Teddy Hart
Last week, Teddy Hart turned his back on not only Rey Mysterio Jr. and The Amazing Red, but on all of his fans as well. We're still not exactly sure why Hart has chose this path, but needless to say, he was not well accepted here in Hartford as he took on Red. Cruiserweight champion Rey Mysterio Jr. came down and did commentary for this match, allowing him to get a closer look at his opponent for Super Cade. During this match, Mysterio expressed his disappointment in Hart's actions and vowed that he would still be the Cruiserweight champion after June 27th and for a long time to come.

The match itself was a dandy as you could tell the Amazing Red was fired up for this one. Hart hardly got a chance to get out of the blocks as Red was all over him with a variety of kicks, ranas, and springboard moves. Hart took a powder to the outside to try to put some distance between himself and Red, but the outside isn't a safe place with Red, as Red jumped on him with a beautiful somersault plancha. Hart tried to get away as Red jumped at him with a spinning leg lariat, but Hart ducked and Red nailed his bad knee hard against the guardrail. This was the window of opportunity Hart needed. Hart showed a much more aggressive side of himself than he has in weeks prior, throwing Red in the ring and tearing away at the bad knee. Red fought back, but his knee was in bad shape and thus his offense was greatly limited. Red, in a desperate attempt to stop Hart, was able to crotch the third generation superstar as he was on the top rope. Red set Teddy Hart up for a top-rope huracanrana, but Hart was able to counter it with a massive top-rope power bomb. Teddy Hart jumped to the top and hit the Open Hart Surgery and that was all he needed.

Teddy Hart pinned Red with the Open Hart Surgery in 0:05:21.
Rating: *** 3/4

Hart wasn't done yet though, as he knew Rey Mysterio Jr. was at ringside doing commentary. Hart locked Red in the Sharpshooter as he yelled at Mysterio. Luckily for Red, this hold wouldn't last long as Mysterio jumped in the ring and went after Hart, who quickly ducked out of the ring. Mysterio checked on Red as a very pleased and victorious Teddy Hart sauntered to the back.

[The camera cuts to backstage where we have a shot of Goldust from behind walking down a hallway. He enters a locker room and in the locker room we see Booker T pulling up his kneepads. Booker looks up and sees a smiling Goldust standing before him.]

B: Oh God...

G: Tonight's the night, Booker! Tonight's the night! Tonight we fulfill our dream of becoming once again a World Heavyweight champion! Isn't that exciting!?

B: We? We? Tell me you did not just say that! What are you talkin' about, sucka?

G: You're only as good as your friends, Booker, and with your bestest friend in the world... [Inhales deeply and brings his hands up his chest] ...GOLDUST... right behind you, there's no way you won't beat Chris Benoit!

B: Listen. Tonight is my night, Goldust. MINE. I finally have a chance to be a World Heavyweight champion, to be the best in the world. And I'm not gonna let you or any other sucka ruin this for me!

G: Ruin it? Why would I want to ruin it, Booker? You're my friend, and...

B: What makes you think we're such good friends? What in the hell do we have in common?

G: Well, there's...

B: Jus' forget it, punk! I'm trying to get focused here. I got a match... and stay the hell away...

[Booker T leaves the room as Goldust turns toward him dejectedly.]

G: Booker! Booker!

[Out of nowhere, Television champion AJ Styles flies in and smashes Goldust in the face with the Television Title.]

AJ: You think I'm done with you yet, you d**n freak!?

[Styles stomps away at Goldust, picks him up, and throws him head first into a locker. As Styles keeps kicking away at him, the GCW Official Brigade runs in and separates Styles from Goldust. This certainly wasn't a good night for the Bizarre One.]

Match #8
MAIN EVENT #1
World Heavyweight Title Match
"The Crippler" Chris Benoit (c) vs. Booker T
Chris Benoit and Booker T have went down the roads many times in the past, engaging in several epic battles back in the old days of WCW. Since then, Benoit and Booker have went in different directions, but they were brought back together here with the World Heavyweight Title up for grabs. Booker T feels that if it weren't for Brock Lesnar injuring his knee back in early April and thus missing Deadly Draw that he would be the World champion right now, not Chris Benoit. Benoit took offense to that, as he has fought hard for 18 years to get to this point, and he's not about to relinquish it now.

This match had an interesting dynamic to it as with both Benoit and Booker being fan favorites, the crowd was split on who to root for. What this led to was a very even matchup as neither man had the crowd to feed off of like they would under normal circumstances. It was nice to see a very clean match as although these two are not necessarily best friends, they respect each other a great deal. Both men did what they do best. Benoit controlled much of this match with his technical wrestling ability. Booker can wrestle too, but he chose to use a more smashmouth style on the World Heavyweight champion to wear him down. This made the match clash a bit, but with a prize as big as the World Heavyweight Title on the line, you do whatever it takes to make sure that at the end of the match, you're the one holding the gold.

Benoit appeared to have the match in his control as he caught Booker with a German suplex and ascended the ropes. Benoit jumped off with his Dynamite Kid-esque swandive headbutt, but Booker got out of the way. Benoit went for a forearm, but Booker blocked it and unloaded on the champ with right hands. After a back elbow, Booker went up top and hit a somersault legdrop, a move I haven't seen him do in years, but Benoit got his shoulder up at 2 and 9/10. Benoit got to his feet, but Booker caught him with a kick to the midsection. Booker hit the ropes and went for the Axe Kick, but Benoit side-stepped it and caught Booker in a small package. Benoit had just enough strength in him to hold Booker down for the 3 count and defend his title in a hard fought match.

Chris Benoit pinned Booker T after a small package in 0:14:32.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Chris Benoit retained the GCW World Heavyweight Title.)

Almost to the second after the bell rang, BROCK LESNAR was in the ring, and he scooped Booker T up and F-5'ed him hard to the canvas. Benoit started to go after Lesnar, but KURT ANGLE grabbed him from behind and hit him with the Angle Slam! Both Benoit and Booker T were laid out at this point. As Benoit and Booker were rolled out of the ring, Lesnar jumped Angle from behind, and our second main event was on!

Match #9
MAIN EVENT #2
Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar was all over Kurt Angle right from the start, backing him into a corner and driving his shoulder into Angle's midsection repeatedly. Lesnar has shown that he doesn't like anyone, and he solidified that fact by his absolute manhandling of Angle early in this contest. The tide turned when Lesnar whipped Angle into the turnbuckle and charged in with a shoulderblock, but Angle moved and Lesnar's left shoulder cracked the ringpost. Angle showed that vicious streak that is often overlooked in him as he went to work on Lesnar's arm with a variety of armbars and wristlocks, keeping the big man grounded.

Angle got Lesnar in a Fujiwara armbar and pulled back on it, causing Lesnar to scream out in immense pain. Lesnar didn't tap though, despite Angle encouraging him to do so. Lesnar eventually powered out of this hold, getting to his feet and bringing Angle down with a Samoan drop. Angle slowly got to his feet and caught Lesnar with a thumb to the eye. Angle hit the ropes, but Lesnar was ready and took Angle over with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Lesnar got in a ready position waiting for Angle to get to his feet, and as Angle got to his feet, suddenly, Chris Benoit grabbed Angle's feet and pulled him out to the floor! Seconds later, Booker grabbed Lesnar's feet and did the same! Benoit and Angle had still been down at ringside! Benoit started chopping away at Angle as Booker slammed Lesnar's head into the ringpost. Referee Jimmy Appleseed wasn't sure what to do as things were getting out of control, so he had no choice but to rule this match a no contest, much to the chagrin of the sold out crowd.

Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar battled to a no contest in 0:04:05.
Rating: ** 1/4

The crowd was upset with the no finish, but they started to come around because of the intensity of this brawl. Booker T grabbed Lesnar by the head and tossed him over the announce table, causing color commentator Brian Wagner to almost soil himself. Booker grabbed a cable and wrapped it around Lesnar's neck, choking the big man out. On the other side, Benoit threw Angle into the ringsteps and then into the ring. Benoit climbed to the top and drilled Angle with the swandive headbutt. Meanwhile, Booker had Lesnar draped over the announce table face up with his head and neck hanging off the side. Booker got a running start and brought his leg down with the Axe Kick right across the throat of the former NCAA champion! In the ring, Benoit had Angle in the Crippler Crossface, but it didn't take long for the other members of the Sensationals: Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, and Steve Bradley, to run down and pull Angle out of the ring and take him to safety. The show went off the air with Booker T getting back in the ring and after going face-to-face with Benoit, shaking his hand to a huge ovation.

That's so unfair - Garrison gets his own PPV but doesn't get a match. Seriously though, that's some damn good stuff, talk about detailed. The PPV (assuming it's a PPV at least) looks good too. Can't really say what's going to happen since this is the first of your cards I've read (I think your initial theory about this forum may be right) and hence I don't really know who your prime players are, but I'll definitely be reading. Good work.

Yeah... Garrison is outraged.  Glad to hear you're going to read.  I've been reading your DWF stuff, and plan to feedback officially when I get some time.  Work is killing me. :)
