How can you not markout for Great Hoyuko!!!!! Even though he's a heel and a member of The Sadistic Bastardz stable

Just a small bit of advice, tweak the workrates and stuff of your export before you release it. I highly doubt that every wrestler you make is good enough to put on 4-5 star matches, and there where a whole lot of em on this card, which is highly unbelieveable.
Owen Hart RIPPosted on 06/16/04 at 23:45:36

Yeah, I'll do that! I was just testing them so far, I am going to tweak most of them, especially the lucha-guys, some of them are just pure high flyers that depend a lot on high spots. I kind of based Procter and Gamble on the former team of Haas and Benjamin. ChickenBoy is the type of wrestler that is a good wrestler despite his lame gimmick, but I'll probably bring down his charisma and push a bit because of the lame gimmick. Dusty Trayle is pretty much a pure brawler, so I'll def. bring his workrate down, since he does not really have an great finisher. I mean his finisher is the Stomp, not exactly a finisher that a top-draw would use. Most of the mat wrestlers however do have good workrates because most technical wrestlers do. Procter and Gamble are prime examples of that. Shawn Butler is kind of a technically skilled brawler, so I'll bring his workrate down to around 85 as aposed to the 93 it's at now. I was just testing them out just to see how they work out. Johnny Daytona is an all-around wrestler who can brawl and wrestler too, not to mention his fabulous finisher (The Screaming Orgasm), which is a Shooting Star Press, and coming from a 263 pounder, I'd say that's pretty impressive.

When the finished product does come out all the person who downloads it has to do is edit the workrates to their liking, all depends on what they want to use them for. If the final product is not good, I can take critisizm better than most. I'm currently working on my weapons export as I'm typing this actually.
CarlzillaPosted on 06/17/04 at 02:57:57

Sounds good, glad you took that criticism and worked with it. I love fantasy wrestler packs so I will definatly get this when you are finished.
xsouporheroxPosted on 06/17/04 at 03:42:44

Shining Gizzard. Holy Crap.

::crawls in the corner and dies::

That cracked me up.

But yeah Carl, remember some of my rosters, I could get consistent four and five star matches. Of course then I'd have like American Dragon versus Steve Corino, which looks great on paper, but got a two star rating. Then again, I feel anything lower than three stars is a failure.
Owen Hart RIPPosted on 06/17/04 at 16:22:07

Sometimes though....

You can't blame the wrestlers for a bad performance. Sometimes other factors come into play, such as the type of match that they are in. For example putting two wrestlers who don't do table spots in a tables match obviously would not get as high a rating as putting at least one wrestler in the match that does them. I can remember back in TNM7FE I never got more than 3 stars for First Blood or matches where you have to touch all four turnbuckles in succession. I had two of these recently, and the Texas Bullrope match got ****3/4! The first blood managed a ****, and personally I though the first blood one had more action than the Bullrope one, but that's just me. Sometimes it's more the booking/creative team that's more at fault for a bad match than the wrestlers themselves!
xsouporheroxPosted on 06/17/04 at 18:55:09

That's why I do straight wrestling matches. Though I did get five stars out of a Jimmy Rave/Steve Corino table match once.
Owen Hart RIPPosted on 06/17/04 at 19:37:54

Guaranteed ***** match.

Everytime I ran this match and booked the result I got *****!

Run a barbed wire cage match (pinfall only) between Cactus Jack (not Mankind or Dude Love) vs. Kevin Sullivan (a barbed wire match inside a steel cage that is)

Book Kevin Sullivan to be busted open around the 10 minute mark, then book Cactus to be busted open around the 30 minute mark. Book the finish to end at around 1 hour, but use any move but Cactus' finisher. I have always gotten ***** for this match!
xsouporheroxPosted on 06/18/04 at 04:34:05

Sounds fun. Maybe a CM Punk/Chris Hero 90+ minute match should be a guaranteed five stars?
Owen Hart RIPPosted on 06/18/04 at 15:52:37

Oh, with the match I was talking about, Cactus Has to win! If Sullivan wins the most you will get is ****1/2
xsouporheroxPosted on 06/18/04 at 19:27:00

Is there a chance maybe you're thinking about this a bit much?
Owen Hart RIPPosted on 06/18/04 at 23:34:04

Probably, I guess I just got Mick Foley on my mind, lol!

(and not in a homosexual way either)
91Posted on 06/19/04 at 02:48:04

Just tried out that match in my test circuit... **** 1/4  ;D Still, stick with what works for you, rather than avoiding what doesn't work for me (not that **** 1/4 is anything to scoff at).
