Match observations:

IWA's second event, Truth of Consequences, proved to be a stepping
stone towards the right direction for our brand new federation!
We saw the debut of two new young combatants who have been
touring all over the Japan area. Chris Jericho and also Jushin
Liger.

In our opening bout, Chris Jericho took on Lex Luger. Luger
who already has one match under his belt here in the IWA, got
the win and his first win on his IWA career. Although it was
via countout, it still goes down as a win. The two men battled
on the outside and ended with Luger whipping Jericho into the
ringsteps. Jericho was left a bloody mess and was eventually
led to the back by the referees after the match was over.

The big, bad, biker, The Undertaker got the win over the
Mexican luchador, Mil Mascaras. Both men stepped up to the plate,
trying to out do one other. The Undertaker would hit the last
ride, and Mil Mascaras would hit the flying cross body. Finally,
after several last rides', The Undertaker scored the win.

Jushin Liger won his opening bout against the human highlight,
Sabu. The odds were stacked againt Liger who in my opinion, has
never wrestled someone like Sabu. Sabu came and used chairs,
numerious foreign objects, and he also had the help of Bill
Alfonso. Liger did prevail and was able to get the big win!

The Ultimate Warrior stands at 2-0 after defeating Hayabusa.
hayabusa, who is another Japanese wrestler, took it to
the Ultimate Warrior. The Ultimate Warrior had to ground
Hayabusa who tried to use his speed to his advantage. The
ultimate Warrior his a viscious Pumphandle Suplex and
won the matchup!

In a re-match from last week, Sting and Vader squared off. In
many peoples opinion, it was the most hatted bad guy, versus
the most popular wrestler here in the IWA. Vader used his size
and strength to is advantage against Sting. Sting however
did score some very good shots of his own. The match ended
very controversial. Sting and Vader both had their shoulders
down when Vader was able to reverse a cradle pin into a bridge.
Both men thought they won the match, and after both's men
entrence music played statng they had one the match, IWA commishiner,
Jack Tunney came out and stated that there was to much confusion,
and that the IWA isn't like the NFL with its instant replays to
reverse a descision. It was ordered as a double pin and
ruled as a draw. Tunney did state that this two men have their
chance at one another again next week in an eight man
elimination tournament to determin the World Heavyweight
Champion, and these two men would wrestle in the first round!

Next Week ladies and gentlemen..... Who will be crowned the first
ever IWA World Heavyweight Champion? Sting and Vader know they are
wrestling eachother. Who else will square off next month? Friend
against friend? Foe against foe? Find out next month as IWA
presents..... "Wrestlefest!"

Liger & Jericho, in my opinion two good additions.  I'm just hoping that Liger can go all the way and reach the top of IWA.

After seven Last Ride's from the Undertaker, I'll be surprised if poor Mil Mascaras will even be able to make it to the arena next week!

I'm also surprised that Ultimate Warrior knows what a pump-handle suplex is, let alone how to preform one ;D

My prediction for next week:  I think Vader will get the win over Sting.  Sting will put up a valiant effort, but I think the monster Vader will triumph, setting up a classic feud.  But I'll still be pullnig for Liger or Mil Mascaras to win the tourny (assuming they are in it)

Yes they will be in the tourney! Here is what we can expect to see so far...

Sting -Vs- Vader in Round 1

Round 1 will also consist of:
Mil Mascaras
Jushin Liger
Lex Luger
The Ultimate Warrior
The Undertaker
Hayabusa

(Brackets still to be determined)

Due to rankings Sabu and Chris Jericho will have to sit this one out, but hopefully they can work their way up the rankings and get a shot at the title

Good cards, You're going to have to try hard to get Hayabusa over as a villian to me.

GO HAYABUSA!
Richard Garcia JrPosted on 06/18/04 at 04:37:05

I have never seen Hayabusa wrestle before. I have heard nothing but the best. Anyone know where I can get some good detailed info on him so I can do what is best for my circut! ;)
