Week 26 - Big Card

Elimination No-Time-Limit-Match:
The Hatebreed (Jack Ripper, Lark Fenriz, Lucifer Magnusson and Travis LaGrange)
beat The Paladins (Ben Tuckwell, Jonathan Smith, Justin Kell and Steve Austin)
4 falls to 0:
x Ripper beat Tuckwell via the Mother of All Bombs in 0:06:13
x Ripper beat Smith via disqualification in 0:10:17
x Magnusson beat S. Austin via the Catalepsy Driver in 0:27:08
x LaGrange beat Kell via the Brazos Valley Backbreaker in 0:31:42
Survivors: Jack Ripper, Lark Fenriz, Lucifer Magnusson, Travis LaGrange
Rating: ****

Well now, The Hatebreed basically decimated The Paladins in this match.

And Justin Kell as well as Steven Austin felt it the worst and showed their
pain by turning on their partners Ben Tuckwell & Jonathan Smith after the
match, claiming they didn't prove themselves worthy of being in the group
by getting taken out of the match so early in. Kell and Austin attacked
Tuckwell and Smith and left them in a bloody mess as they took off the shirts
they were wearing that said THE PALADINS and threw them on top of their bodies.

Number-One-Contenders-Match:
Lee Awesome and Travis Cade defeated Trent Acid and Teddy Diablo when Total Lee
pinned Diablo after an elbowdrop from the second turnbuckle in 0:12:47.
Rating: ****
(Lee Handsome no-showed.)

OH WOW!!! Travis Cade returned to the RPW and in this first match in the ring,
he has secured himself a shot at the World Tag titles by taking the place of
Lee Handsome who was nowhere to be found.

After the match was over, Handsome's body was found laid out in the back with
a note that said "This is what happens when you piss off the devil"

The Paladins (Tony Antony and Werewolf Gregorson) defeated
Team Xtreme (James Robinson and Lance Williams) when Gregorson pinned Robinson
with the The Silver Bullet in 0:12:29.
Rating: ****

The newly formed team of Antony and the world champ, Gregorson made an impact
in the tag division by taking on Real Xtreme and finishing them off with that
impacting finisher of Gregorson's, The Silver Bullet.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Cage Match:
Hell's Angels (Anger and Hate) defeated Gangsta Heaven (Gotti and Hoffa) when
Anger pinned Hoffa with the Demonical Somnabulism in 0:14:24.
Rating: **
(Hell's Angels retained the World Tag Titles.)

Gangsta Heaven had gotten their chance to regain the tag titles after defeating
Hell's Angels last week in a NON TITLE match but when the titles were on the
line, they choked and became another victim to the Demonical Somnabulism.

Card rating: ***

Match observations:

What a card!

First we had Justin Kell and Steve Austin abandon The Paladins and then Travis
Cade returned to the RPW out of nowhere and has a good chance of becoming
one half of the next RPW Tag champs if he can work well with Lee Awesome.

We still don't truly know who was behind the attack on Lee Handsome but we
do have some `ideas'. We do have to wonder what Lee Handsome will think if
his partner, Lee Awesome and Travis Cade become the new RPW Tag champs. Let's
keep an eye on that situation in the weeks to come.

As we finished the night off, contract negotiations were beginning and we are
hoping everything works out well because the fans would definitely be let down
if they couldn't see some of their favorite RPW stars in action anymore.

Cards #24 and 25 set this one up well.  So this is gonna have some fun stuff for sure.. onto my thoughts on it:

Well now, The Hatebreed basically decimated The Paladins in this match.
Most definitely they did.  Austin and Kell leaving them in a bloodied heap after was great though.

Travis Cade returned?  Wow!  and he's got a shot at being tag team champ already!  Quick work by him.

Handsome sounds like he might have angered someone with that love note that was left on him.

Antony and Gregorson seemed to mesh well together.

Hell's Angels seem to be hanging on to those tag titles rather tightly since winning them.  Good for them.

And yes contract negotiations are always a strenuous part of the Old School Rules feds.  But usually once you make it past this round of contracts, the rest aren't nearly as difficult.  :)  (I say that as only about one third of the BCW roster has contracts up at any given time now, as opposed to the entire roster like on week 26)  Glad to see you've made it this far in the rules.  It's been a fun ride so far.  Keep it up.  :)
