Rumble Pro Wrestling - Week #7

Shaun SindelmanPosted on 05/21/04 at 01:28:30

Week 7 - St Michael's Academy - New York, NY

[Non Title Defense]:
Afternoon Delight (Lee Awesome and Lee Handsome) defeated
Gangsta Heaven (Gotti and Hoffa) when Total Lee pinned Gotti with the
Like A Rolling Stone in 0:12:16.
Rating: ** 1/4

Handsome and Awesome may have moved one step closer to becoming the new RPW
World Tag champs after this match. The RPW management will definitely be
keeping an eye on those two when it comes to deciding who will face Gotti and
Hoffa for the belts in the future.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Triangle Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
The Paladins (Ben Tuckwell and Jonathan Smith) defeated
Team Xtreme (James Robinson and Lance Williams) and Teddy Diablo and Terry Brody
:        x Robinson beat Diablo via the Manhattan Bridge in 0:01:45
x Tuckwell beat Williams via a rana in 0:06:01
Rating: *** 1/2

Real Xtreme made quick work of Diablo and Brody but in the end, Ben Tuckwell
took Williams to the edge and left him there for dead.

[Holy War II]: Elimination No-Time-Limit-No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
The Hatebreed (Anger, Hate, Jack Ripper and Lark Fenriz) beat
The Paladins (Justin Kell and Travis Cade), Tony Antony and Trevor Rodgers 4
falls to 1:
x Ripper beat Rodgers via the Mother of All Bombs in 0:19:50
x Fenriz beat Cade via the Sammael in 0:23:39
x Antony beat Fenriz via the Glam Rock Bottom in 0:30:51
x Ripper beat Kell via an airplane spin in 0:35:25
x Anger beat Antony via a German suplex in 0:40:48
Survivors: Anger, Hate, Jack Ripper
Rating: *** 1/4

The Hatebreed tore into The Paladins from the very start. T-Rod suffered a
devastating blow after that MOTHER OF ALL BOMBS by Jack Ripper and then
Travis Cade just returning from the injured list was forced to tap out to
Lark Fenriz's SAMMAEL maneuver. If there had to be an MVP, I would give it
to Tony Antony for being able to keep Lark Fenriz down for the 3 count and
not to mention that he saved Justin Kell from an early dismissal from this
match. But in the end, it was The Hatebreed that were victorious in this
second Holy War match-up.

I-Quit Match:
Werewolf Gregorson made Travis LaGrange submit to an airplane spin in 0:11:22.
Rating: ****

Gregorson walks away with another submission victory. LaGrange and Gregorson
agreed to put up or shut up in this friendly exhibition to see who was
the stronger of the two. If I was a betting man, I would've let it all ride
on Gregorson even before the opening bell rang.

[Winner is the 8th man in the World Titl tournament]: 13-Man Battle Royal:
Teddy Diablo won a 13-man Royal Rumble:
x Fenriz and Hoffa started out.
x Hoffa threw out Fenriz in 0:00:44
x Jonathan Smith entered at 0:02:00
x Hoffa threw out Smith in 0:02:04
x Justin Kell entered at 0:04:00
x Lee Awesome entered at 0:06:00
        x Hate entered at 0:08:00
x Travis Cade entered at 0:10:00
x Tony Antony entered at 0:12:00
        x Gotti entered at 0:14:00
x Teddy Diablo entered at 0:16:00
x Ben Tuckwell entered at 0:18:00
x Gotti threw out Antony in 0:18:55
x Terry Brody entered at 0:20:00
x Cade threw out Gotti after a single-leg takedown in 0:20:47
x Lee Handsome entered at 0:22:00
x Diablo threw out Brody in 0:24:39
x Kell threw out Hate after an elbowsmash in 0:27:20
x Handsome threw out Kell in 0:27:25
x Diablo threw out Handsome in 0:30:36
x Diablo threw out Hoffa in 0:32:16
x Cade threw out Total Lee after a belly-to-back suplex in 0:35:46
x Tuckwell threw out Cade in 0:35:49
x Diablo threw out Tuckwell after the Diablo Fire in 0:37:01
Rating: **** 1/4

Fenriz and Hoffa started off but Hoffa made short work of him and the same
went for Jonathan Smith. Justin Kell was the first man in to give Hoffa a
run for his money sticking around longer than just a few seconds. Hoffa
cheated defeat several times as did other people by holding on to that top
rope to avoid elimination. When Travis Cade came in, he went straight after
Hate. It was every man for himself as Gotti eliminated Tony Antony only to
have his own partner, Hoffa right on top of him trying to push him out.
Travis Cade came over and broke it up so that he could eliminate Gotti. CardinalSynn made her presence felt with a few chairshots to the competition throughout
the match. Biggest surprise of the match was Hoffa working with Terry Brody
Teddy Diablo to eliminate Terry Brody. After Justin Kell eliminated Hate, Lee
Handsome did the same to Kell. Diablo turned on Hoffa and eliminated him.
The weirdest thing happened when Ben Tuckwell (how did he even get in this match- someone needs to speak to RPW management about that one) used his legs to throw Cade over the top rope after Cade tried to eliminate Tuckwell. In the end, Teddy Diablo won.

Card rating: ****

Match observations:

So our World Title tournament brackets will be random and it will start with
these 8 men in the first round:

Teddy Diablo
Lance Williams
James Robinson
Ben Tuckwell
Werewolf Gregorson
Travis LaGrange
Anger
Jack Rippr

Everyone else has the week off. But you can bet the presence of The Paladins
will be felt to make sure Anger and Jack Ripper wont get very far. Also, will
we see Terry Brody try to exact some revenge on Diablo for what happened in
tonight's match?

See ya in a week.

Nice to see someone using all created characters with the Old School rules.

This should definitely be an interesting read.  And I am posting this reply before I read week #8 for the singles title.

Rick -

When can we expect Year 2 Month 2 for the rules set? =)
Rick GarrardPosted on 05/21/04 at 15:51:09

Hopefully sometime this weekend.  I just got Card #60 for BCW ran this morning and will be posting it this evening.  And since the rules are being written using BCW's action, I can hopefully get back to the 2 to 3 cards a week that I was once doing.

This is great stuff. Shaun's actually running his circuit using guys from an e-fed he and I are both in. Except Justin Kell seems to suck in TNM but is the real RPW champ. Darn you Shaun, darn you to heck.
