Which one should return?
ggazoo | Posted on 05/02/04 at 16:11:19 A lot of you guys who have seen me on the boards probably know that I'm nortorious for posting a circuit, then deleting it once it's been online for a couple of weeks. Well part of that has been due to either computer crashes or indecisivness on my part. Regardless, there have always been 3 feds that I can't make up my mind on, and I want to bring one back for good, but I need help from my fellow TNMers to decide which one: WWF Circa 1985 - This one may have been my favourite. The reason it dissapeared though as due to an aformentioned crash (and that fact that I was dumb enough not to back anything up). This is the fed that I would bring back in a heartbeat, but I don't think I can top the circuit that I had. Everything worked out perfectly, and since I don't book my circuits, getting that again would be pretty hard. It was also like Oliver's circuit. Just matches, with a wite up at the end only. NWA - This one is the closest to the current WWE, and was the most work, as I had maintained a pretty cool webiste along with a lot of writeups, both in the cards and with a news section and everything. The story was that Vince scraped the WWE and started fresh with the NWA. I had some pretty fun things happening, like a feud between Mankind and RVD, and well as a rivalry between Angle and The Hart brothers starting to develop. I still have this circuit saved, but, as fun as it was, it was a lot of work and very time consuming. XWA - This fed featured anyone who was currently not working for the WWE at the start of the first show. After that, anyone (past or present ) acould come in. Some of the angles featured The Outlaws (Hall, X-Pac and Jesse James) as well as Brock Lesnar feuding with Ken Shamrock over the World Title. This was the most wrestling heavy fed, with minimal write ups. So that's it. Which one would you guys most like to see? |
JoshEngleman | Posted on 05/02/04 at 20:21:54 I say bring back the 1985 circuit. I'm a fan of the old stuff. ;D |
LillaThrilla | Posted on 05/03/04 at 03:42:21 WWF1985 would be nifty, sounds like it was the one you enjoyed the most, and is even timely now with the Rick's Old School Rules popularity (oddly enough, I don't think anyone has actually done an entirely old school roster with the rules - most people run a mixed bunch or entirely current guys) |
Rick Garrard | Posted on 05/03/04 at 14:46:27 that is incorrect Josh. Southern Championship Wrestling posted on the TNM Circuits board is an entirely old school roster. |
ggazoo | Posted on 05/03/04 at 15:12:37 Thanks guys... I was leaning towrads the '85 circuit, so that's the one! I was actually able to salvalge the first two cards anyways. Hopefulu I'll be able to post in the next couple of weeks. By the way Rick, where can I find the SCW? |

Dominus | Posted on 05/07/04 at 03:42:04 I should post my stuff. I'm running a circuit from 1986 on.. Soon enough I'll be running 2 or 3 circuits, like WWF, WCW & NJPW. Not sure what I'm going to do yet, but it's worked out pretty good. I've added a source of real life to, where as new wrestlers come around the same year they debuted, I have a Rumors section & stuff, where it says why wrestlers quit or got fired (ala. Drug problems, backstage feuds, retire, deaths etc...) Nothing's booked & it's all just random, except for putting who faces who. Sort of like a "What If?" type thing. Trying to start a webpage of it all, but I'm gonna wait till I'm done the 1st year of cards, then go back & fix & edit stuff after. |
