"Destiny... thirty men believe that they have a destiny, and that it will be fulfilled tonight. Thirty men, all with their eyes on one thing and one thing only: the World Heavyweight Title. To be the champion of the world... many have come along, many have tried, but few ever reach the top of the mountain. In the course of one evening, these thirty superstars...

[On the screen, the images of the 29 announced superstars flash across the screen. After the last image, a quick cut shows a picture of the World Heavyweight Title.]

...have their chance not only to be champion... but to become legend. This... is Deadly Draw...

* * * * *

We had a jammed-packed arena of excited and rabid Global Championship Wrestling fans in Chicago, Illinois, ready to watch history be made! They were here to see if the superstars of GCW could do pay-per-view. They were here for Deadly Draw! Tonight, three titles would crown their inaugural champions, including the North American and Crusierweight Titles, as well as the big one: thirty men in the Deadly Draw match, eyes on becoming the first World Heavyweight champion! It was sure to be a tremendous night of action, and we got right to it, starting with our match to crown the first Cruiserweight champion!

Match #1
Cruiserweight Title Tournament - FINALS
The Amazing Red vs. Low-Ki (w/ Daffney)

The first thing one had to notice about this match was the knee brace Red was sporting on his left knee, a lingering injury he's had due to the weekly attacks of our Television champion, AJ Styles. Low-Ki is not a stupid man. Red and he have battled many times before, so Low-Ki is well aware that much of Red's offensive arsenal is taken out of the equation if Red can't use his legs. After an initial offensive flurry by the Amazing One, Low-Ki caught Red with a dropkick to the knee. From there, Low-Ki just absolutely tore into his smaller opponent. Low-Ki seemed as though he wouldn't be content until he had ripped Red's leg from his body. Low-Ki is a very capable wrestler as is, but when he's this focused, he's downright lethal. Low-Ki was doing everything he could to get Red to tap out, using as many leglocks as he could muster. But Red wouldn't tap out for anything, much to the chagrin of both Low-Ki and his eccentric manager Daffney, who let us know her displeasure for the situation with her screeches. A time tested rule in wrestling is when a man can't put his opponent away, he gets frustrated, and when he gets frustrated, he starts taking unnecessary chances. Low-Ki fell into that trap, putting Red on the top turnbuckle late in the contest. Low-Ki hooked Red up and had him set up for what looked to be a superplex, but Red blocked it. Low-Ki tried again, this time getting Red over, but Red turned his body and reversed it into a crossbody, getting a 2 and a half. Red followed up with a couple of spinning leg lariats, which obviously hurt his already injured knee, but he fought through the pain. Red then hit the Red Star Press on Low-Ki, but as he went for the cover, Daffney jumped up on the apron, taking the attention of referee JD Sanders away from the match. Low-Ki's stablemates in Triple X, Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper, took this opportunity to run down to ringside to interfere on behalf of him, but they were cut off by Rey Mysterio Jr., whom if you remember was screwed out of a win in the semi-finals by this same Triple X plan. Mysterio would have none of it, managing to fight both Daniels and Skipper away from the ring.

Unfortunately, this pulled the ref's attention even more away from the match. As Sanders did his best to break up the scuffle on the floor, Television champion AJ Styles ran in from the crowd, slid in the ring, and blasted Red in the face with the Television Title belt. Now Red is a tenacious guy, but this was just asking too much of him, especially after Low-Ki went ahead and hit him with the Ki Krusher for good measure. Sanders made the count, and we had ourselves a Cruiserweight champion.

[Cruiserweight Title Tournament - Finals]: Match for the vacant GCW Cruiserweight Title:
Low-Ki pinned Red with the Ki Crusher in 0:11:00.
Rating: ** 3/4
(Low-Ki won the GCW Cruiserweight Title.)

Daffney was jumping all over the place with joy as Low-Ki was handed the Cruiserweight Title. The other members of Triple X made their way into the ring as officials helped Red to the back, with Rey Mysterio Jr. checking to see that he was okay. Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, and new Cruiserweight champion Low-Ki all stood side-by-side and made X's with their arms as Daffney shrieked in delight before heading to the back.

[We see the World's Greatest Tag Team, the reigning World Tag Team champions, exiting their locker room; Charlie Haas first, followed by Shelton Benjamin. As they go out into the hallway, Benjamin is stopped by Shaniqua, who has the riding crop in her hand.]

S: Hey Shelton. Good luck.

SB: Yeah... um... thanks.

S: You're looking mighty fine tonight. Good enough to eat.

SB: ...If you say so.

[Benjamin starts heading off, but Shaniqua stands in his way.]

S: Oh... if you need any help tonight, with... [Shaniqua looks Benjamin up and down, running the riding crop on his chest] ANYTHING, you let ol' Shaniqua know.

[Awkward pause as Shelton Benjamin doesn't know exactly what to say.]

CH: Hey Shelton... let's go.

SB: ...Yeah.

[The World's Greatest Tag Team heads towards the ring while Shaniqua watches Shelton Benjamin leave, licking her lips.]

Match #2
World Tag Team Title Match
The World's Greatest Tag Team (c) vs. Rob Conway/Nick Dinsmore

This is the World's Greatest Tag Team's first title defense, and it was against a very game Rob Conway and Nick Dinsmore. The Basham Brothers put a beating on Conway and Dinsmore last week on Explosion, but they didn't seem to show any ill effects, at least early on. Shelton Benjamin almost appeared to be a bit thrown off by his interaction with Shaniqua prior to the match. Shaniqua has taken quite the liking to Benjamin, offering her services to him before the match. Luckily for Benjamin, his partner Charlie Haas was very focused, and he helped Benjamin along early until he gained his bearings. The first half of this match was back and forth, with neither team gaining a clear cut advantage. Things got really interesting when Shaniqua made her way down to the ringside area.

Shaniqua put herself right in the corner of the World's Greatest Tag Team and spent most of the time ogling Shelton Benjamin in her creepy kind of way. This obviously bothered the former University of Minnesota All-American as he isn't quite sure how to react to her. Benjamin got stuck in the ring as Conway and Dinsmore expertly cut the ring in half. While Benjamin was worked over with great tag team moves from the challengers, including a huge jumping double vertical suplex, Shaniqua cheered Benjamin on, encouraging him to make a comeback. Eventually, Shaniqua had enough as she jumped in the ring, but she was cut off by referee Petey Pluck. While Pluck tried to get the much stronger Shaniqua out of the ring, the Basham Brothers sprinted in out of nowhere, grabbed a hold of Nick Dinsmore off the ring apron, and dropped him with a double Hotshot on the guardrail. This caused Dinsmore to bleed from the mouth as he lay still on the arena floor. Conway saw this and tried to go out after the Bashams, but Benjamin caught him from behind with the Dragon Whip. Benjamin rolled Conway up, and with a little extra leverage help from Charlie Haas, WGTT made their first title defense a successful one.

The World's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin) defeated Rob Conway and Nick Dinsmore when S. Benjamin pinned R. Conway with the Dragon Whip in 0:15:28.
Rating: **
(The World's Greatest Tag Team retained the GCW World Tag Team Titles.)

Shaniqua and the Bashams headed to the back, Danny and Doug Basham happy about their work, and Shaniqua eyeballing her love interest in the ring. This situation gets weirder by the day.

Match #3
Teddy Hart vs. Matt Hardy Version 1.0 (w/ Shannon "All That And" Moore)

This match came about as a result of Matt Hardy viciously attacking Teddy Hart in the locker room two weeks ago on Explosion, which prevented Hart from wrestling his scheduled match with The Hurricane that evening. Matt Hardy took Hart's place, but he was defeated that night by Our Friendly Neighborhood Hurricane. Teddy Hart was looking for a bit of revenge tonight, but he had to contend with some factors he didn't anticipate. When Hardy was introduced for this match, he had alongside him Shannon Moore! Moore hadn't been seeing much success thus far in Global Championship Wrestling, so it appears he has aligned himself with Hardy in an effort to change his luck. Moore was wearing a shirt that read "FOLLOWER OF MATTITUDE" on it. The match itself was a tremendous one. Shannon Moore didn't get directly involved, but his mere presence was distracting Teddy Hart, but Hart tried not to let it phase him. Teddy Hart can do amazing things in the ring, no doubt about it, but he just doesn't have the experience that a Matt Hardy has. Hart wrestled a good match, almost getting Hardy on several occasions, but once Hardy caught him with the Side Effect, it was the beginning of the end. Not long afterward, Hardy was able to hit the Twist of Fate, and that was that.

Matt Hardy pinned Teddy Hart with the Twist Of Fate in 0:07:06.
Rating: **** 1/4

Hardy wasn't done with Hart though, as after the match, Shannon Moore and he continued to put the boots to the third generation superstar. Matt Hardy wanted to teach Teddy hat a lesson, but thankfully for Hart, The Hurricane saw what was happening and he came to the ring, causing Hardy and Moore to scatter from the ring. Hart was a bit shaken up, but appeared to be okay. I don't think this one is over yet.

Match #4
Goldust vs. Brock Lesnar

Goldust is loyal to his friends, no doubt about it. Goldust has come to Global Championship Wrestling to get a matter of revenge for his friend Booker T, who was injured a few weeks ago by Goldust's opponent tonight, Brock Lesnar. Goldust means well, but unfortunately, he was fighting Brock Lesnar. Since showing up in GCW, Lesnar has been on a tear, chewing up and spitting out whoever has been put in front of him. Goldust did what he could, but he became just the next victim. Lesnar is a machine, and even scarier, he is focused, probably more so than anybody else in Global Championship Wrestling. Once Lesnar got a hold of Goldust, that was the beginning of the end. One F-5 and Goldust was down and out.

Brock Lesnar pinned Goldust with the F-5 in 0:09:20.
Rating: **

What's even scarier is that Brock Lesnar is also going to be in the Deadly Draw match later on this evening. Will anyone be able to get him out of the ring? The way it looks now, I'm not thinking so.

Match #5
North American Title Tournament - FINALS
John Cena vs. Hardcore Holly

We were up to our second of three title deciding matches now as John Cena took on Hardcore Holly, the winner walking away as the first North American champion. Cena's road to the finals went through Sean O'Haire and Perry Saturn, while Holly had to get past Booker T and Lance Storm to make it to this position. Holly is known for his aggressive style, and he came out blasting right from the opening bell. Hardcore Holly might not always pin your shoulders to the mat, but he sure will leave you sore the next day. Hardcore started off beating on Cena, not letting him get out of the blocks, getting an early two count with a nice powerslam. After working over Cena's back a little, Hardcore got another nearfall after catching the Dr. of Thuganomics in the face with a picture perfect dropkick. Cena's a tough cookie though, as he fought back, catching Holly with a belly-to-belly suplex. This was the beginning of the end for Holly, as Cena got on a roll, and with the packed house in Chicago behind him, Cena was able to hit the F-U and take the victory, making him the North American champion!

[North American Title Tournament - Finals]: Match for the vacant GCW North American Title:
John Cena pinned Hardcore Holly with the F-U in 0:06:45.
Rating: * 1/2
(John Cena won the GCW North American Title.)

Cena was handed the North American Title as the crowd gave him a nice ovation. Hardcore Holly fought hard, but simply came up short this time. I'm sure Holly will be back in contention for the North American Title, but for now, congratulations to John Cena, the first North American champion.

With that, all we had left for the evening was the big one, thirty men competing in Deadly Draw. The last man remaining walking away as the World Heavyweight champion! Before we got to it, we had pre-recorded comments from some of the superstars competing for the chance to be World champion!

* * * * *

[MATT HARDY AND SHANNON MOORE]

MH: Tonight, the Sensei of Mattitude goes into Deadly Draw, where 29 other superstars will be tossed over the top. You know why? Because none of them have the Mattitude that I do! It's simple Matt-ematics. One man with Mattitude is far greater than twenty-nine without!

SM: Twenty night? I thought you said I had Mattitude!

MH: I said you had "Mattitude Potential." That's different.

SM: Oh... okay.

[THE HURRICANE]

H: Deadly Draw is my chance to bring some law and justice to GCW! Using my Hurri-powers, I shall vanquish evil in all of its forms! And after I become the World Heavyweight champion here in Chicago (they love me in Chicago), there's a big superhero party at the Hurri-Cave! Through howling winds and pouring rain, all evil shall fear The Hurricane... beeotch!

[EDDIE GUERRERO]

EG: In just a little while, thirty essa's will step into that ring, but only one can walk away as the World champion. I've been in this business a long time, holmes, and people say I'm not big enough, I'm not strong enough, and I'm not bad enough to be World champion. GCW, you keep thinking that, and by the end of the night, GCW will be running on Latino Heat!

[KURT ANGLE]

KA: The deck is certainly stacked against me, and it's unfair. I am a true American hero here for crying out loud! Now I don't know how many of you knew this, but in 1996, I went down to Atlanta, Georgia and I won myself a gold medal for the United States of America. It's true. You would think that someone who won a gold medal, a GOLD MEDAL, for his country would be treated a little better than being the number one entrant in the Deadly Draw. But you know what? That's okay. I won a gold medal with a broken neck using intensity, integrity, and intelligence, and I'm going to win the World Heavyweight Title tonight the exact same way. Oh it's damn true.

[SHAWN MICHAELS]

HBK: Like I needed the help anyway, but tonight I got the dream draw, number thirty! Deadly Draw is the Heartbreak Kid's chance to show that he isn't washed up, that I'm not past my prime! I know deep down that I can still be the showstopper, the icon, the main event! And when I win the Deadly Draw, the only thing you're going to have to call me is CHAMP!

Match #6
MAIN EVENT
For the VACANT World Heavyweight Title
30-man Deadly Draw Match

This what we were all waiting for! After tonight, all of GCW's champions would finally be crowned. This was the big one, and we knew whoever won was going to have to outlast twenty-nine other superstars to do it. We all knew that Kurt Angle was #1, and he came out not in the least bit thrilled about it. You can say what you want about Angle, but he is always game to fight, and that's exactly what he did as he greeted entrant #2, Matt Hardy Version 1.0. Angle went right after Hardy, not even letting him get out of the blocks. Angle beat Hardy down into the corner, before tossing Hardy out to the floor. Angle had himself a good minute to rest. This was obviously going to be Angle's strategy. Attack each new competitor before he had a chance to defend himself, and eliminate them before the numbers can pile up. A monkey wrench was thrown into this plan though when #3 was revealed as... Randy Orton!

The crowd was on their feet wanting to see Angle and Orton lock up, but they soon turned to jeers as Angle and Orton shook hands, agreeing to work together. What nobody expected though was Orton jumping Angle from behind, nailing him with a forearm to the back! Orton and Angle start exchanging blows back and forth, much to the joy of the enthusiastic crowd. Orton eventually got the better of he situation when he reversed an Angle German suplex attempt with a back kick below the belt. Orton hit the ropes and ran at Angle, but Angle ducked and backdropped Orton over the top and to the floor! Orton couldn't believe it, and hell, Angle couldn't either. That shows you just how important the World Heavyweight Title is when two members of the Sensationals would turn on each other so quickly.

Randy Orton was still down at ringside as the #4 man, Christopher Nowinski made his way to the ring. Orton was still arguing with Angle, making angle oblivious to Nowinski coming up behind him. As Angle yelled for Orton to go to the back, Nowinski snuck behind Angle and dumped him to the floor! The crowd popped huge as Angle, one of the favorites despite being #1, was already gone, and it was his own stablemate Randy Orton who caused it! Angle and Orton both headed to the back, arguing with each other the entire way. Nowinski waited in the ring as #5, Shannon "All That And" More, came in a house of fire. After a couple of minutes of back and forth attempts at elimination by these two, Paul London joined the fray at #6.

London made an impact right away, springboarding over the ropes and nailing Moore with a dropkick. Moore stumbled backwards into the Harvard graduate Nowinski, who picked up the 175-pound Follower of Mattitude and launched him out of the ring. London then jumped Nowinski from behind and tried to send him out of the ring, but the much bigger Nowinski grabbed London and sent him over the top, but London hooked the ropes, unbeknownst to Christopher Nowinski. London came back in and hit his ultra impressive moonsault dropkick, which got a good pop from Chicago's fans.

At #7, Hardcore Holly, who came up just short at winning the North American Title earlier in the night, came in and went right after Paul London, picking him up and dropping him with the Alabama Slam. Nowinski tried for a clothesline on Hardcore, but Holly ducked it and smashed Nowinski in the face with a hard right hand. Holly got a head of steam and slammed into Nowinski, causing him to topple out of the ring and out of this match. London was back up, but Holly hit him with a boot to the midsection and then a tiger driver which rattled London's spine. He was easy pickings after that, becoming the sixth man to be tossed from this match as Hardcore Holly stood alone in the ring.

Goldust was our #8 man to join this match, and he was obviously still hurting from his earlier match with Brock Lesnar. That didn't stop him from coming in with a lot of energy, going right at Holly. Unfortunately, Goldust wasn't in much condition to go toe-to-toe with Hardcore, who immediately knocked Goldust to the mat with a hard kick and a gutwrench suplex. Holly continued to assault the Bizarre One as Rey Mysterio Jr. came in at the #9 spot. Mysterio is one of the smallest, if not the smallest man in this match, but pound-for-pound, he may be the most tenacious. Mysterio jumped off the top onto Holly with a crossbody, but Holly caught him. Holly tried to powerslam him, but Mysterio reversed it into a spinning armdrag. Holly got back up and went at Mysterio again, but Mysterio was ready with a spinning leg lariat. After a couple more instances of Mysterio's speed outdoing Holly's power, Goldust got back to his feet and caught Hardcore with an inverted atomic drop. Goldust reared back and clotheslined Hardcore out of the ring. Holly was eliminated.

The ring started to fill up finally at this point, with Chris Benoit, Elix Skipper, Christopher Daniels, and Television champion AJ Styles all joining Goldust and Mysterio in the ring. Skipper and Daniels had the advantage here, as the two members of Triple X actually worked together, unlike Kurt Angle and Randy Orton of the Sensationals earlier. What the ring wasn't ready for was our #14 competitor, Brock Lesnar. Lesnar got into the ring, and he was angry. Lesnar got in the ring, and he just destroyed everybody. Lesnar picked up Styles and spinebustered him. Skipper ran at Lesnar, and he got the same. Mysterio hit a dropkick on Lesnar that didn't even move the big man. Mysterio tried another, but Lesnar swatted him away like a fly. Lesnar grabbed Goldust, and made him taste an F-5 for the second time this evening. Christopher Daniels had the bright idea to jump on Lesnar's back, but Lesnar simply grabbed him by the head, and tossed him forward over the top to the outside, eliminating him from the contest.

The only two men left standing were Lesnar and "The Crippler" Chris Benoit. Benoit and Lesnar got nose to nose, staring each other down as the crowd went bananas. During this staredown, we reached the halfway point as #15, Shark Boy, made his way to the ring. Unfortunately, Shark Boy bumped into Lesnar, who immediately scooped him up and dropped him with the F-5. As Lesnar turned back around, Benoit started in on him with a series of kicks to the midsection. As Benoit took it to Lesnar, Mysterio took the unconscious Shark Boy and dumped him to the floor. Mysterio himself didn't have too much time to savor this elimination as Goldust caught him from behind and tossed him to the outside.

The Dr. of Thuganomics John Cena came out #16, North American Title in tow. what a night it would be for Cena if he won both the North American and World Heavyweight Titles back to back! As Cena got into the ring, Lesnar and Benoit were still tearing into each other like rabid dogs. Everyone in the ring left them alone to beat on each other. Cena made his presence known right away, eliminating Elix Skipper. After that, we were ready for our #17 entrant.

The buzzer went off, but for a few seconds, nobody came out. The crowd was baffled as they all anticipated who #17 was, and then we heard, "IT'S ME! IT'S ME! IT'S D-D-P!" and wouldn't you know it, out from the back came Diamond Dallas Page! It was thought that DDP was retired for good because of neck problems, but he has worked hard and made his way back to wrestling, signing a contract with Global Championship Wrestling! DDP jumped in the ring, and you could tell he was excited to be back in a wrestling ring. AJ Styles went right after Page with a right hand, but DDP blocked it and lit up on Styles with rights of his own. DDP picked Styles up an dropped him with a tilt-a-whirl powerslam. DDP then clocked Cena with a right hand, and gave the same treatment to Goldust. Brock Lesnar saw what DDP was doing and went over to him, but out of nowhere, DDP grabbed Lesnar and planted him with the Diamond Cutter which got a huge pop! Around this time on the far side of the ring, Cena was able to push Goldust over the top and get him out of the match.

The impressive youngster Sean O'Haire was #18, and he went right after DDP. The next elimination would occur as Cena made a crucial mistake, leaving his feet in a flying forearm attempt on Television champion AJ Styles, who ducked and pulled the top rope down, causing the North American champion to crash to the concrete floor below. Brock Lesnar had made his way back to his feet, and he was not at all happy. Lesnar nailed DDP from behind, lifted him up, and brought the veteran crashing down with the F-5. Lesnar's giving F-5's out in this match like they're Halloween candy. Also at this time, the #19 entrant, Perry Saturn, made his way to the ring. DDP made an impact with his debut, but tonight was just not his night as Lesnar sent him to the outside.

Lesnar was very happy with himself for taking out DDP. Lesnar took a little time to taunt Page who was lying on the floor, which made him blind to Chris Benoit sneaking behind him. Benoit hit a beautiful dropkick to the back of Lesnar, surprising the former collegiate champion and knocking him out of this match! Lesnar was absolutely livid, yelling in disbelief that he had been eliminated as the fans gave Benoit a standing ovation. Lesnar took out his frustrations by grabbing DDP and slamming him hard into the ringsteps, but fact remains that Lesnar was eliminated.

Wrestler #20, Chavo Guerrero Jr., left us with 5 wrestlers currently in the ring: Chavo, Benoit, O'Haire, Saturn, and Benoit. By this point, Benoit had been in the match 20 minutes, and AJ Styles had been in 16. Chavo came into the match and foolishly picked a fight with Sean O'Haire, which didn't turn out too well for him. After Chavo peppered the massive O'Haire with a few right hands, O'Haire snapped on him with a huge boot to the face. O'Haire scraped what was left of Chavo off his boot and send him on a one-way trip out of Deadly Draw.

The buzzer for #21 went off, bringing out Justin Credible. The buzzer for some reason seemed to startle Sean O'Haire, who's momentary lapse of concentration cost him, as Benoit was able to pick him up and dump him out of the ring. Benoit saw an opening with Styles having his back turned fighting with Saturn, so Benoit dropkicked Styles much like he did Lesnar, and the Television champion was out of there as well! Benoit was on fire in this match, which is exactly why Credible went right after him. Credible has it set in his head that he has to impress Chris Jericho. Justin Credible was even wearing a Monday Night Jericho t-shirt for crying out loud. Credible and Saturn began double-teaming the Crippler, noticing that Benoit was a lot more formidable than they had thought. Benoit went into survival mode, just clawing and chopping his way away from Saturn and Credible, trying to make some distance between him and his attackers. Benoit even got Credible over the top, but Credible hooked the ropes and kept himself in this match.

We were getting down to crunch time now as these later numbers have excellent chances at winning it all, and #22 had to be considered one of the favorites to win it all as it was "The Whole F'n Show" Rob Van Dam. RVD didn't expect what happened though, as when he came out from the back, he was instantly nailed from behind by a steel chair wielded by Randy Orton! The crowd booed loudly as Orton picked RVD up and dropped him with the RKO right there on the floor! That wasn't enough for Orton though, who even picked RVD up and tossed him into the ring. RVD was in no position to defend himself, as Credible easily tossed him to the floor. RVD was jobbed here tonight by Randy Orton. Orton put on that cocky smile of his as he walked to the dressing room. Officials came out and assisted RVD to the back.

Benoit was once again left in a 2-on-1 disadvantage as Credible and Saturn double-teamed him yet again. However, this time, Benoit managed to catch Saturn with a German suplex and temporarily take him out. Credible went for a superkick on the Crippler, but Benoit dodged it by dropkicking Credible in the knee. Credible tried to limp away, but Benoit caught him and sent Credible out of the match. So much for impressing Chris Jericho. While this was happening, Saturn had made his way to the top rope, but Benoit in a burst of energy jumped up on the turnbuckle with Saturn, hooked the tattooed man's leg, and in one of the damnedest things I have ever seen, dragon screw leg whipped Saturn from the top all the way to the floor, thus leaving Benoit all alone in the match!

Benoit was hoping he'd get a breather, but that didn't happen as right away #23 Tommy Dreamer was in the ring, and he was carrying two kendo sticks. Benoit got back in a defensive position, but he was surprised when Dreamer handed one of the kendo sticks to him. We were going to have ourselves a kendo stick duel right here in the middle of Deadly Draw! Dreamer took a swing at Benoit, but the Crippler blocked it. Benoit counterattacked, but Dreamer was ready for it and blocked it himself. Dreamer went at Benoit again, this time catching him with a boot to the midsection before spinning around and blasting Benoit upside the head with the kendo stick! Dreamer let Benoit back to his feet, and Benoit was obviously hurting, but he looked more frustrated than anything. The two warriors once again squared off with the sticks, Dreamer lunging at Benoit, but Benoit blocked and kicked Dreamer in the midsection this time. Benoit spun around and blasted Dreamer in the head with the kendo stick to a huge pop! These guys are freakin' nuts. At this point, both of the sticks were on the mat, and the referees at ringside wisely got them out of the ring as our #24 competitor, Lance Storm, made his way to the ring.

Benoit must have gotten Dreamer good with that kendo stick shot, as Dreamer was very woozy. Lance Storm popping him in the face with a superkick didn't help matters either. Dreamer's tomfoolery with the kendo sticks cost him tonight, as he was eliminated by Lance Storm. Storm didn't get a lot of time to celebrate though, as Benoit grabbed him from behind and tossed him right next to Dreamer. Benoit was once again the only man in the ring!

Benoit had reached the 30-minute mark as #25 Teddy Hart got in the ring. Hart doesn't have a lot of size or experience, but he had two things going for him right now: he drew a terrific number and Benoit had been through hell already. The last thing Benoit needed at this point was someone he was going to have to chase around, and that's exactly who Teddy Hart turned into. Hart entered the ring via a corkscrew bodyblock, taking Benoit down. Hart followed up with a standing moonsault and then tried to get Benoit out, but Benoit hooked the ropes. Hart kept trying, but Benoit caught him in the face with a back elbow which broke that up. Benoit ran at Hart, but Hart ducked under Benoit's clothesline and brought him down with a spin kick. Hart brought the crowd to its feet as he ascended to the top turnbuckle and jumped off, nailing Benoit with the Open Hart Surgery! Hart was attempting again to get Benoit out as the buzzer brought down #26 Billy Kidman.

For some reason, as Kidman entered the ring, he attacked Hart from behind, essentially saving Benoit from elimination. Kidman and Hart continued to fight as #27 was revealed to be The Hurricane. Our Friendly Neighborhood Hurricane had saved Teddy Hart from a beating from Matt Hardy and Shannon Moore earlier in the night, and he came out and helped Hart again here, taking Kidman down with a floating neckbreaker. The Hurricane then grabbed Kidman and took him down with a choke slam, which Teddy Hart followed with a standing moonsault which got a nice round of applause from the crowd. The Hurricane then went to work on Chris Benoit as hart and Kidman went at it.p> We only had three men left to enter this contest, the first of which was the third member of the Sensationals, "Y2J" Chris Jericho. Jericho, unlike his stablemates, managed to draw a terrific number, putting him in a great position to walk away from this match the World Heavyweight champion. Jericho went after The Hurricane, who was the freshest man in the match, chopping away at him in the corner. Benoit got up and started chopping at Jericho, but Jericho halted Benoit's momentum with a kick below the belt. Jericho's not above taking the low road, especially when the World Title is at stake.

The fans counted down to the #29 man, and they absolutely blew the roof off the building when it turned out to be Eddie Guerrero! Before Guerrero got into the ring, Chris Jericho had eliminated Teddy Hart, which was probably good for Jericho, because if he had waited one second longer, it wouldn't have happened. Guerrero slid in the ring and just unloaded on Jericho, causing the crowd to cheer even louder. Guerrero has been looking for a good opportunity to get his hands on Jericho, and this was it, and he was going to take the opportunity now. Latino Heat hit Jericho with the hat trick of vertical suplexes before sending Jericho over the top rope, but unbeknowst to Guerrero, Jericho had grabbed onto the top rope as he went over. Jericho showed great strength as he skinned the cat, bringing himself back into the ring and clobbering Eddie from behind with a forearm.

The fans counted down for the last time, but it was no secret who #30 was as "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels sprinted down to the ring. Michaels definitely caught a break by earning the #30 spot, but he caught another break in that many eliminations were already made in this match, meaning he would only have to outlast 5 other wrestlers to win Deadly Draw. On the flip side, Benoit was in an entirely different boat, as he had now been in the match for over 40 minutes. The other five men in the ring with Benoit were fresh, having numbers 26 through 30. HBK was riled up as he came into the ring, peppering everyone he could get his hands on with hard punches. Everyone tried to bring him down, but they had little success. HBK singled Kidman out and was able to throw him out of the ring. Kidman slapped the ring apron in frustration, realizing how close he had come.

You have to give Benoit a lot of credit. At this point, no one thought he even had a chance, but win or lose, Benoit was going to go out fighting. Benoit just would not stay down for anything, constantly firing back. After a couple of minutes of fighting amongst these five men, Benoit's luck finally looked to be ending, as The Hurricane had him set up for a choke slam, but Benoit broke the superhero's grip with a hard boot to the gut. Benoit hit Hurricane with a headbutt before sending him flying over the top and out of contention for the World Heavyweight Title. At least The Hurricane left in a way he's comfortable with: flying.

We were down to our final four, and what a foursome it was! All four men made their way to a corner: Chris Jericho in one, Eddie Guerrero in another, Chris Benoit in another, and in the final corner, Shawn Michaels. The four men sized each other up for a few seconds before Jericho jumped on Guerrero and Benoit and HBK met each other in the middle of the ring. You could tell how badly these four wanted to be champion, as all of them blocked out any pain they had been experiencing and just went full boar at one another. Unfortunately, despite the caliber of these four, only one could win. Three would have to go home disappointed, and the first of them would be Chris Jericho, who had managed to get Eddie Guerrero locked in the Walls of Jericho. An effective way to wear down an opponent, but in a match like this, you can't watch your back when you have someone in a submission hold like that, and he came back to bite him as Benoit grabbed Jericho by the hair and elevated him up and over to a huge pop! Three left!

Guerrero crawled his way back to his feet, but he was met by the Sweet Chin Music from Shawn Michaels! HBK lifted Guerrero to try to throw him out, but Benoit attacked Michaels from behind, driving him into the corner. Benoit quickly tried to lift Michaels over the top and got him halfway, but HBK fought his way back into the ring with a poke to Benoit's eye. HBK dropped Benoit to the canvas with a bodyslam before springing to the top rope, coming off on Benoit with a flying elbowdrop. Benoit staggered to his feet, but only to be caught in the face by a Heartbreak Kid flying forearm. HBK brought the crowd to its feet as he kipped up. HBK went to a corner and started tuning up the band, looking for the Sweet Chin Music. HBK attempted to hit that superkick of his on the Crippler, but Benoit ducked out of the way. As HBK turned back around, Benoit grabbed him with a belly-to-belly suplex, but he didn't bring him to the mat, but instead suplexed Michaels right over the top to the floor!

Eddie Guerrero had gotten to his feet and seeing Michaels out, charged at Benoit, but Benoit saw Latino Heat coming and backdropped Guerrero high into the air. Guerrero fell onto Shawn Michaels, and the bell sounded! Chris Benoit had done it!

(Chris Benoit won the GCW World Heavyweight Title.)

The crowd was on its feet as an exhausted Benoit collapsed to the mat. Benoit slowly started to stir as GCW President Ryan Niemiller entered the ring and presented Chris Benoit with the World Heavyweight championship belt. Benoit took it and stared at it for a few moments before lifting it high above his head to a huge crowd pop! Benoit showed the title to all four sides of the ring as both Shawn Michaels and Eddie Guerrero got into the ring. Benoit dropped the World Heavyweight Title to his side, not sure what the intentions of Michaels and Guerrero were. After a brief staredown, HBK extended his hand to Benoit, who shook it to another large crowd pop. The two engaged in a quick embrace before HBK got out of the ring and headed to the back. Guerrero and Benoit too shook hands as Latino Heat congratulated Benoit on his impressive win. Chris Benoit had to eliminate 10 men and last over 50 minutes to do it, but he climbed that mountain and can now call himself the first ever Global Championship Wrestling World Heavyweight champion! Congratulations to Chris Benoit. What a night!

I won't say much, but that was a helluva card. Great stuff. Especially the Deadly Draw. That was one of the better rumbles I have read in a long while. Great stuff! A little surprised to see Benoit win the title, but I'm cool with it. Good booking all around, and looking forward to reading the next card.

Thanks.  The hardest thing about getting a fed on its feet is lasting through getting all the champions crowned, so, I'm over that hurdle. :)
