jesse_ewiakPosted on 04/15/04 at 04:29:26

Show opens with the announcement that the TSW Championship Committie had granted Shamrock & Saturn a rematch this week in Pittsburgh.

In-ring we see two masked man announcing they have come from Mexico to destroy Psic and Pentagon. They challenge anyone in the back. And out comes Smith & Watts.

Johnny Smith and Erik Watts and Dollar and Peso battled to a draw in 0:20:00.
Rating: *

Notes: OK match, never really got going to make the crowd react though. Went to a time limit draw, and a rematch for next week was immediatly announced.

Gabriel pinned Don Frye after a Huracanrana in 1:33.
Rating: * 1/2

Notes: Frye taunted Gabriel before the match, telling him he was going to tap out. However, Gabriel got the pin with an out of nowhere 'Rana to a big pop from the Pittsburgh crowd. Frye immediatly attacked a celebrating Gabriel from behind which led to Maximo coming out and the brawl was on. Armstrong came out to help out Frye, and the two sides were broken up.

Steve Armstrong pinned Joel Maximo with the Flying Dropkick in 14:08.
Rating: ** 3/4

Notes: Good, intense match between the old-school stylings of Armstrong and the indy darling Maximo. Joel had several pinning predicament early, but Armstrong kept on getting the ropes or barely kicking out. Finally, Armstrong moved out of the way of a Maximo monosault and got the duke with the Flying Dropkick!

From there, the ring cleared out again and Jimmy Rave came out as highlights of The Nation turning on him played for the crowd and TV viewing audience. Cue The Nation's music and the freshly heel-turned Godfather, with no Ho's!

Jimmy Rave pinned The Godfather after the Running Forearm Smash in 11:45.
Rating: * 3/4

Notes: Decent match, Rave goes over after kicking out of the Pimp Drop, but gets laid out by Henry & Godfather after the match. Heel reaction for that as both make 'we want the belt' motions and call out Pentagon & Psicosis.

[Winner Ref's Next Weeks Main Event]:
Elix Skipper defeated Shark Boy by countout in 14:43.
Rating: *** 1/4

Notes: Very good match, as Skipper played a good obnoxious heel, dominating the early portion of the match before Shark Boy got back into and battled back with a few near falls. SB nearly got the win late with the Deep Sea Drop, but Skipper managed to get the match outside and planted him with a chair to get the cheap countout win.

Paul Wight pinned Bubba Ray Dudley with the Showstopper in 10:32.
Rating: **

Notes: Wight gets back on track, winning his first singles match in impressive fashion, dominating Bubba Ray in impressive fashion, keeping him in the mix for the top of the card. The former Big Show gets the clean win with the Showstopper and adds another one after the match just because.

Kurt Angle pinned The Wall after a German suplex in 19:19.
Rating: **** 1/2

Note: Judging by the above match, Angle really is Flair 2K3 as he pulls The Wall to a classic match filled with wild brawling and power moves to a heated crowd. After a fight on the outside, Angle nails the German suplex to pick up the win! Wight runs in, but Bubba comes in with a chair to run the two heels off!

Pentagon and Psicosis defeated Ken Shamrock and Perry Saturn when Pentagon
pinned Saturn with the Asai Moonsault in 7:32.
Rating: *** 1/2
(Pentagon and Psicosis retained the TSW Tri-State Tag Titles.)

Notes: Another high-intensity match, but Shamrock & Saturn fall short again and they have to wonder if they can truly defeat Psicosis & Pentagon as 'Gon managed to hit the Asai Moonsault out of nowhere to pick up the win and retain the titles!
