NAWF - Week 4 [Anger Management]

The fueds continue to build this week. I'm starting to get a good idea who should do well in the upcoming World Title tournament...


[The show begins backstage with Rick Rude and Madman Pondo in their locker room. Pondo is slamming things into lockers as Rude grabs his shoulder...]

Rude: "Get a hold of yourself. It's only a matter of time before we get the tag belts back..."

Pondo: "I'm not sure how long I'll be able to wait to get my hands on..."

[Just then Vader and Sabu enter the locker room...]

Vader: "Hey boy, calm down. Who cares if you lost your tag team titles, there are more important things to worry about around here."

Pondo: "Like what?"

Vader: "Like Vader..."

[Vader pushes Pondo aside and gets in Rude's face...]

Vader: "Listen up Rick, I have something to ask you. I need you to referee the main event tonight. Me and Sabu want to teach that pretty boy a lesson tonight."

Sabu: "And Kendo..."

Vader: "And Kendo."

[Rick thinks about it, then grins...]

Rude: "Sure, I'll referee the match. And don't worry, I'll call it right down the middle."

[Rick and Vader share a laugh as we go to our first match...]



Ken Shamrock vs. Adam Flash


[Ken Shamrock executes the Ankle Lock Submission on Adam Flash.
Adam Flash tries to escape the hold.
Adam Flash is inching his way towards the ropes.
Adam Flash tries to fight the pain.
Adam Flash makes it to the ropes after 23 seconds.]

[Ken Shamrock hits a legsweep on Adam Flash.
Ken Shamrock uses a Yakuza kick on Adam Flash.
Ken Shamrock is going for the pin.
Chad Patton counts: One, two, thr... shoulder up.
Ken Shamrock whips Adam Flash into the ropes.

I figured I'd give Shamrock a shot at one half of the tag champs, and he took adavantage of it. Shamrock followed up his win over Anderson last week with another dominating performance.


Shelton Benjamin and M-Dogg 20 vs. Mike Awesome and Spellbinder

[Mike Awesome goes for a jack-knife power bomb, but Shelton Benjamin
counters it with a small package.
Nick Patrick counts: One, two, kickout.
Shelton Benjamin kicks Mike Awesome.
The crowd is starting to get behind Shelton Benjamin.]

[The crowd is really behind M-Dogg 20.
M-Dogg 20 executes a reverse Frankensteiner on Spellbinder.
M-Dogg 20 nails Spellbinder with a kip-up Frankensteiner.
M-Dogg 20 whips Spellbinder into the ropes.
M-Dogg 20 hits Spellbinder with a kick.
M-Dogg 20 dances like a white boy.]

[M-Dogg 20 executes a flying dropkick on Spellbinder.
The crowd is really behind M-Dogg 20.

M-Dogg 20 and Shelton Benjamin defeated Mike Awesome and Spellbinder when M-Dogg pinned Spellbinder with the Death From Above in 0:13:39.

Quality match that didn't see much of Miek Awesome. These four guys have been going at it since the first week. After Spellbinder got pinned Mike Awesome just left the ring in discust, seemingly fed up with tag action.


Brian Pillman vs. Lance Storm

Lance Storm pinned Brian Pillman with the Superkick in 0:11:10.
Rating: ** 3/4


Storm got the better of Pillman in this one. Jericho will take on Al Snow later tonight in singles action.


Val Venis vs. Air Paris

Air Paris pinned Val Venis after a spinebuster bomb in 0:09:34.
Rating: **


Paris beat the struggling Val Venis to help make up for Flash's loss earlier on.


The Undertaker and Edge vs. Ric Flair and Arn Anderson

[Edge throws Ric Flair out of the ring.
Edge jumps onto him with a tope.
The chants for Edge are deafening.
The Undertaker comes over to make it two-on-one.
Arn Anderson comes over and lays out The Undertaker.
Ric Flair and Arn Anderson hit Edge with a double chop.]

[The Undertaker hits a kick to the head on Ric Flair.
The Undertaker uses a sidewalk slam on Ric Flair.
The Undertaker executes the Tombstone Piledriver on Ric Flair.
Jack Doan counts: One, two, three.
The crowd is really behind The Undertaker.]

The Undertaker and Edge defeated Ric Flair and Arn Anderson when Undertaker pinned
R. Flair with the Tombstone Piledriver in 0:12:37.

Taker and Edge get a must needed win over Flair and Arn. Edge brings the excitement and Taker brings the pain.


Al Snow vs. Chris Jericho

[Al Snow leaves the ring.
He returns with a chair.
Al Snow sets up the chair.
Al Snow hits a power bomb onto the chair on Chris Jericho.
Nick Patrick counts: One, two, thr... kickout.]

[Al Snow hits a kick to the midsection on Chris Jericho.
Al Snow executes the Snow Plow on Chris Jericho.
The crowd is starting to get behind Al Snow.
Al Snow goes for the pin.
Nick Patrick counts: One, two, three.
The crowd is starting to get behind Al Snow.]

Al Snow pinned Chris Jericho with the Snow Plow in 0:05:01.

As soon as the match ended Lance Storm came running down to the ring. He blasts Snow from behind and begins beating him down. Here comes Brian Pillman! Pillman grabs Storm and tosses him into the ropes...huge flying dropkick! Jericho starts to get up and him and Snow are brawling. This fued is getting good...


Match with Special Referee Rick Rude:
Shawn Michaels and Kendo Ka Shin vs. Vader and Sabu


[Shawn Michaels hits a flying cross body press on Vader.
Vader collides with Rick Rude.
There is no referee to count.
Brian Hebner comes running down to the ring.]

[Kendo Ka Shin executes the Cross Arm Scissors on Vader.
Vader is valiantly trying to break the hold.
Vader tries to escape the hold.
Vader tries to fight the pain.
Vader breaks the hold after 26 seconds.]

[Vader goes for a running clothesline, but Shawn Michaels counters it with
an armbar submission.
Vader is valiantly trying to break the hold.
Vader reaches the ropes after holding out for 5 seconds.

Shawn Michaels and Kendo Ka Shin defeated Vader and Sabu when S. Michaels pinned Vader after a flying cross body press in 0:15:12.

Rick Rude got knocked out by Vader on accident early on, and when he woke up he wasn't very happy. Rude counted Vader's shoulder to the mat and quickly left the ring. Vader and Sabu were pissed and Rude just shrugged his shoulders to them as he headed backstage.

Next week Vader and Shawn Michaels will go at it in the Main Event!  Also, the World Title qualifier matches will begin.

Vader vs Rude!  That is gonna be a GOOD feud!  :)  The heels are starting to fight amongst themselves!  What a circuit!  I can't wait to see just who qualifies now.

Yeah, the heels really are going at it.  But luckly it is working out alright in these situations.  Keep watching to see what happens with Rude and Vader...
