Build 4 wont install over build 3

Hey,

For some stupid reason I cant get the new b4 to install over my old b3. I am not installing to the basic c:\tnm7se, I am installing it in a d:\...yadda yadda, a long location. Everytime I do it, it doesnt do anything. I tell it to install over my TNM, and only once has it said "Do you want to update over your old TNM files?" or something similar, and I click yes, but then when I go to open up TNM7, it still says its using build 3. So, I am obviously doing something wrong, but I have no idea what. So if anyone could help me out, I would REALLY appreciate it.

EDIT:  A quick off topic thing.  I just ran a card where I had a 2/3 falls match with Eddie Guerrero and another wrestler.  Well, I kept restarting the match until it occured the way I wanted it (I forgot to set the match to book match), as I was reading I noticed that it said "Eddie Guerrero falls to the ground.  The Referee calls for the timekeeper to ring the bell.  The Referee signals for EMT's to come to Eddie's aid." But, I  didnt keep it, because it was only the first fall, and the match continued, so it was stupid, so I hit "r" to restart it.  Anyway, the card played out, and no one was injured, or it didnt say anyone was injured anyway.  But, I just checked my roster and it said Eddie Guerrero will be out for 14(!!) more cards!  This also happened with Shawn Michaels, but his was only 5 cards so I wasnt worried about it.  So, my question is, even though I restart a match, if an injury occurs in the old match, does it stay with TNM even after a new match occurs?  And does anyone know what injury is a 14 card (almost five months in my circuit) injury?

A quick question... The path you are using... It doesn't contain any spaces in it does it?? Because this is DOS we are talking about and that doesn't do very well with spaces. The same goes for folders/files longer than 8+3 characters.

When a serious injury happens, restarting the match won't help.

You need to use DOS 8.3 notation, which may be a problem with your TNM's LOOOONG path.

My suggestion: move your TNM7SE folder to D:\, install Build 4 over it and move it back with the Explorer... that's guaranteed to work.

Wow.. So if someone suffers a serious injury in the first fall in a 2/3 falls match, the match will continue?  That should probably be considered a bug. Multiple fall match should end immediately if someone gets injured so bad that they stop the match.

Oliver: Ok, I must still be doing something wrong. Here is what I did:

1. Cut and Pasted my TNM7SE folder to the D:\

2. Ran the b4 setup...thing

3. Told it to install on D:\TNM7SE\TNM

4. Its asks if I want to install over my old TNM, I click Yes

5. Then, after it says it installed succesfully, I go to run the TNM.BAT in my TNM7SE folder, and it still comes up as build 3.

Alright, thats what I do, maybe I am doing something wrong, any ideas?

Unright- Yeah, thats what I was thinking. I was planning on letting the injury occur, but then after the first fall had a draw, the second fall started right up which is why I restarted it. I think it has to be a bug.

EDIT: Ok, nevermind.  I know what I did wrong, and I fixed it.  I should have just had it install into D:\TNM7SE.  Thanks a lot for your help again Oliver.  I am now happily running b4.
