i just ordered Tnm on pay pal and everything i was jus wondering how and when do i get the game?
ZedjaPosted on 08/20/05 at 22:47:56

You download the trial from the website and usually the same day or the next the registration codes will be mailed to you on the mail you provided on paypal.

Then you go inside the program and enter your codes.

You might have a slight wait as Oliver is on vacation.

From the TNM newsletter
Hi everybody,

this is just a short reminder that we will be closed from Sunday around
12pm EST until Friday morning. All orders arriving after Sunday 12pm
will be sent out on Friday morning.
Since you ordered the Ultimate Pack you will recieve registration codes for each plug-in as well as TNM7SE itself.  You'll still have to download and install those seperately.  There is a link on the main page called "All Plug-ins" where you can download all official plug-ins in their current version at once.  Then just cut and paste them into your "New Plugins" folder in your TNM folder.

Game112Posted on 08/20/05 at 23:30:04

do i have to have a internet connection when i register the game?
zackarcherPosted on 08/21/05 at 00:58:35

nope
Oliver CoppPosted on 08/21/05 at 08:02:32

Codes are there. If I were you, I'd download TNM 7 SE Build 4 Beta and the pack containing all plugins. Then install TNM 7 SE. After it's done, unzip the large file with all plugins to the NEWPLUGS folder inside your TNM7SE folder.

Then run TNM to have the plugins installed.

I'll be leaving in eight hours... just got back from doing commentary for this night's UFC. Holy shit was Tra Telligman knocked into next week!

ha, sorry, my days are all screwed up.  I could swear it was a weekday earlier. :-[[quote]just got back from doing commentary for this night's UFC./quote]

You are quite the renaissance man. :)
Oliver CoppPosted on 08/21/05 at 08:10:37

Nah... I just really enjoy MMA much more than wrestling at this point. My preferences have somewhat been reversed over the past couple of years :-)
americamamushiPosted on 08/21/05 at 08:29:02

Any chance of Mr. Copp making an MMA sim? ;)  You know you wanna ;D
ZedjaPosted on 08/21/05 at 08:52:31

What is MMA?

Ah.. I think I saw Akebono in one of those..
Oliver CoppPosted on 08/21/05 at 13:03:13

No chance in hell, mamushi ;-)

Not that the thought hasn't crossed my mind. It's just that unlike in wrestling, the real "action" takes place on the ground. You have to be a lot more detailed, i.e.

Randy Couture sweeps Mike Van Arsdale off his feet with a double-leg takedown.
Mike Van Arsdale pulls guard and has Randy Couture in a full guard.
Randy Couture attempts to pass his guard by pulling his right leg over Van Arsdale's left leg.
He succeeds.
Randy Couture is now in a side mount position.
Randy Couture clutches Mike Van Arsdale's head and goes for a head-and-arm choke, but Van Arsdale puts his other elbow inside to block the move.
Randy Couture lets go with one arm and attempts to move Van Arsdale's blocking arm.
... ad infinitum...

It's something you need to see visually because if there's one thing that MMA isn't suited for, then it is to be described in text form. There's just too much variation on the ground, and if you aren't able to mirror that in a sim, it'll be generic at best and uninspiring at worst.

Just look back at the two UFC Playstation games which went nowhere and the Pride game that should have made its publisher anything but proud. MMA is much, much more complex than wrestling, where the story is told in the form of match flow ("between the moves"), whereas the moves and how to get there *are* the story in MMA.
