The first match of the SMW Heavyweight Title Tournemant between Corino and London ended in a double countout. This means that the winner of the Low Ki/CM Punk match on August 4 will be into the semi finals. CM Punk scored the decision over Low Ki in the Main Event 6-man tag, and will look to do so again to move himself closer to the title.

Samoa Joe moves on to face the winner of the upcoming Frankie Kazarian/Doug Williams match.

The Lords of the Ring (Dinsmore & Conway) got passed the Suicide Blondes after interference that proved costly to the Blondes. No doubt they'll be watching the Lords throughout the rest of the tournament.

Shane Douglas squeaked past Alex Arion to get a spot in the quarterfinals against the Super Dragon/Christopher Daniels winner. Douglas is one of the front runners to take home the strap.

Blackout knocked off the Lost Boyz thanks in part to some help from their manager Jeff G. Bailey. Look for the Lost Boyz to get revenge in the future.

In the first major upset in the tournament, BJ Whitmer suprised Sean Waltman to move on to the 2nd round. Whitmer's Northern Lights put the former X-pac out. Whitmer awaits the American Dragon/Juventud Guerrero winner.

Michael Modest opened the night by destroying Nova in just over 3 minutes. Modest feels like he was snubbed in the 16 man selection of the Heavyweight Title Tournament, and he's looking to climb up the ladder this way.

In the first Heavyweight Title Tournament match, Super Dragon knocked off Doug Williams. Super Dragon went for the Michinoku Driver B, but Williams reversed into a bodyslam, but was unable to get the job done as Dragon rolled through with a small package to pick up the win. Super Dragon will now move on to face Shane Douglas in the Quarterfinals.

Chance Beckett looked strong in his win over Justin Credible.

The lone Tag Team Title Tournament match was won by Da Hit Squad. The bracket for this tournament will be released in the preview for the August 8 TV Taping.

In the other Heavyweight Title Tournament match, CM Punk scored another pinfall win over Low Ki. This moves Punk into the semi finals due to the double countout from the London/Corino match.

Speaking of Corino and London, their No Countout/DQ rematch was won by Mr. London. Even though he has been eliminated from the tournament, he'll be looking for an early crack at the title when it is over.

In the Main Event, Konnan and Saturn proved too strong for D'Lo and Homicide. For the record, D'Lo Brown NEVER submitted to the Tequilla Sunrise; he passed out. D'Lo will look for revenge at the first supercard in the rebirth of SMW, Fire on the Mountain, on August 22. The match between D'Lo and Konnan is the first official match named for the card, with more to follow in the upcoming weeks.
