NAWA Glory 3/31/05

Footage is shown from last week with Jerry Lynn posing as a cameraman to take out Miles Stylish, hitting him with the Cradle Piledriver and scoring a visionary pin in the center of the ring. A freeze frame shot of Lynn standing over Stylish, holding the NAWA World Championship into the air fades into the opening.

"Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top plays and Miles Stylish comes out, as the announcers put him over as the only Triple Crown Winner in NAWA history, to hold the NAWA World, International, and Tag Team Titles. Stylish slides into the ring, looking rather angered, before he gets on the microphone. Last week was supposed to be the greatest night of his life, the night that was going to begin a glorious reign as NAWA World Champion but Jerry Lynn ruined it. Stylish aaccuses Lynn of riding his coattails when they were in the Triumvirate and now Lynn's envious of his success as the NAWA World Champion, so now he's trying to ruin Stylish's career. Stylish demands that NAWA Commissioner New Jack make his way out here and announce that Jerry Lynn is suspended for his unprovoked assault.

"Natural Born Killerz" plays and out comes New Jack. New Jack slides into the ring, staring down Stylish, before remarking that Stylish will not tell him how to run his show. Last week, Jerry Lynn attacked Stylish in the center of the ring, but given what had happened recently involving Stylish, he got everything that was coming to him. Loud cheers for this and Stylish reminds New Jack that he attacked Matt Harms two months ago for disrespecting Stylish, saying that he will do the same to the Commissioner as well. New Jack invites Stylish to try, but reminds him that if Stylish lays one hand on the Commissioner, New Jack will beat his ass and strip him of the championship.

New Jack then reminds us Wildfire is coming up on April 17th only on Pay Per View. The NAWA World Championship will be on the line on that night and in tonight's main event, Jerry Lynn will square off against a man who many feel was screwed out of the title at Reality Check, Ron Waterman, with the winner facing Miles Stylish for the title at Wildfire. ! Loud pop at this match for later tonight and Stylish freaks out, before he calmly states he's beaten both men, he can do it again at Wildfire. New Jack also asy that Miles Stylish will put his NAWA World Championship on the line tonight on Glory, against an opponent that he won't know about until he comes through the curtain. Stylish nods, saying it doesn't matter who New Jack throws at him, at the end of the day he will be on the top of the company as the NAWA World Champion. The announcers talking about Miles Stylish's first title defense against a mystery opponent tonight and the number one contenders match involving Jerry Lynn and Ron Waterman for later tonight.

Coming Up Next: Teddy Hart and Raven say they have a mystery partner as they take on CM Punk, Christopher Daniels, and Scott Steiner. We'll find out who it is after these commercials.

Scott Steiner, Christopher Daniels, and CM Punk are in the ring, with Daniels on the microphone. Daniels says tonight will be the beginning of the end for Teddy Hart and Raven, it is a shame they have brought another poor unfortunate soul into this, but they will just be a casuality of the war. Punk states that Raven's going to get a small sample of what's coming to him come Wildfire, when he takes out Raven once and for all. Steiner just promises to kill anyone who gets in his way and also vows to snap Teddy Hart in two with the Steiner Recliner.

Raven and Teddy Hart make their way out, both dressed in black "Nevermore" t-shirts, tattered jean shorts, and leather jackets, as they walk to the ringside area. On the microphone, Raven said he promised that he had an ace in the hole and he will deliver in a man making his return to the New Age Wrestling Alliance tonight after being on the shelf for several months. "Viva Las Vegas" by Elvis Presley kicks up and the crowd pops pretty loudly as the Gambler makes his way down to the ring! The Gambler has returned and is the partner of Teddy Hart and Raven! The heels in the ring just shake off the pressence of the Gambler, but he's perhaps one of the hardest working NAWA competitors, having worked his way up from the jobber division to scoring some high profile wins in his time in the company. The bell rings, kicking off this six man tag team match.

Smokes gets on the microphone, bragging the Rottweilers up as the uncrowned NAWA World Tag Team Champions and says after that victory, New Jack has no choice. Out comes the Commissioner, who remarks that was an impressive victory, but there is a chance that the Rottweilers might not have won had Smokes not gotten involved. Than again, the Rottweilers might not have lost their NAWA World Tag Team Title Match at the last Pay Per View had Desdomia not gotten involved. So The Rottweilers will get their rematch, against the Archangels of Anarchy, but it's going to be a six person tag team match with the NAWA World Tag Team Titles on the line. Desdomia will join the NAWA World Tag Team Champions and Julius Smokes will join the Rottweilers. Since they can't keep themselves out of action, New Jack says he's going to put them in the action at Wildfire. Smokes says it doesn't matter, the Rottweilers will walk out of Wildfire the brand new NAWA World Champions.

Backstage:

Larry Sweeney and the NAWA International Champion Tony Mamaluke make their way to the arena, where Dan Marion has a microphone, asking the duo for their opinions about the number one contenders match for the NAWA World Title. Sweeney remarks that while it was on such short notice, he's confident that his charge will defeat whomever they threw in him in there with and go on to capture the NAWA World Title at Wildfire. Marion informs them that Mamaluke is not in the match, it's Ron Waterman and Jerry Lynn. Mamaluke and Sweeney both go ballastic about this, with Mamaluke protesting that he beat Jerry Lynn and....he will beat Ron Waterman next time. Sweeney remarks about the injustice of the top megastar in the NAWA being screwed out of his rightful place at the top of the food chain. The money grubbing manager says that New Jack will be hearing from him about him holding down Tony Mamaluke, the greatest wrestling champion that ever lived. With that, Sweeney says he has some urgent business to attend to, but this isn't over.

Richard Ramos Ricardo, Attorney At Law, along with the NAWA Television Champion Sedrick Skyhawk, his publicist Candace Sweet, Bruno the Bodyguard, and Mr. Fernando, who is just here to fullfill the minimum hispanic quota of employees for the company, is in the ring. Ricardo has a clipboard and gets a large amount of heel heat, before he comments he has a legal statement to make to all the NAWA fans as a result of what happened last week on Glory. AJ Styles is nothing but a no good liar and a cheat, having pulled the tights to pin Sedrick Skyhawk in the tag team match. The referee for that match is also a liar and a cheat, having fast counted Skyhawk. Styles only managed to hold down Skyhawk for a period of 2.98 seconds, which is obviously less than three. Finally, Skyhawk demands the announcers retract their slanderous comments about how AJ Styles has Sedrick Skyhawk's number and he's the next NAWA Television Champion, because if Styles wrestled Skyhawk a million times, Skyhawk would beat him each and everytime.

Out comes AJ Styles to cut this off and Styles rolls into the ring, with a microphone. Styles says since Ricardo is so confident of this, why doesn't Skyhawk put the NAWA Television Title on the line against AJ Styles tonight? Candace yells that the only way to compete for the championship is to beat the champion one on one in a non title match. Ricardo says if Styles wants to embarass himself, then he will face off against Skyhawk tonight in a non title match. Skyhawk doesn't seem so sure about this, but Ricardo assures Skyhawk he can take Styles. This boosts the champions confidence, as the referee calls for the bell, kicking off this non title match

Rating: *** 1/2

AJ Styles has just beaten Sederick Skyhawk, the NAWA Television Champion in a non title match, pinning him for a second week in the row. The announcers say that all Styles has to do now is beat Skyhawk for the title, but he's proven tonight he can do it tonight, despite the interference from Skyhawk's entourage.

Number One Contenders Match
Jerry Lynn vs. Ron Waterman

NAWA World Champion Miles Stylish is on commentary for this match. Both men shake hands, just seconds before unloading on each other with punches, Waterman getting the better of the exchange, throwing Lynn into the corner, before taking him out with a clothesline. Another clothesline and Waterman whips Lynn into the ropes, before launching him high into the air with a high back body drop. Waterman hooks Lynn as he comes off the ropes and overhead belly to belly suplex brings him down for a two count. Forearms to the back and a brutal gutwrench suplex followed by knees to the head keeps Lynn off balance. Lynn concludes the offensive flurry with a jumping neck snap!

Lynn works over Waterman's neck with stomps and a neck wrench, as the announcers wonder about how Lynn could get that deadly Cradle Piledriver on Waterman! When the announcers remark that Stylish knows what that move can do all too well, Stylish tells them to shut up and focus on the match. Lynn connects with a swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Waterman is dragged to the apron and Lynn hammers him with some forearms across the back of the head, before he climbs to the top rope. Springboard legdrop to the back of the head. Lynn is poised but Waterman punches away at Lynn, fighting up to his feet from that position. Lynn steps back and Waterman steps to the floor, but it turns out, he was suckering Waterman in so he could sling Waterman into the guardrail. Stylish remarks that Lynn stole that trick from him, before Lynn threw Waterman into the steps headfirst, before turning to Stylish and making the belt motion around his waist. Stylish remarks: "Only in your dreams, Lynn."

Lynn turns around and WATERMAN CLOTHESLINES HIM DOWN! The crowd cheers as Waterman rolls Lynn into the ring. Waterman enters the ring, but Lynn catches him with a kneelift to the face! Yakuza Kick is ducked and Lynn goes around the back door with a roll up for a two count! Lynn turns around as he gets up, RIHGT INTO A LARIAT! The impact folds Lynn up like an accordian and Waterman covers to score a two count. Waterman picks up Lynn and whip into the corner. Elbowsmash to the face of Lynn in the corner and Waterman grabs Lynn, hoisting him up to the top rope. Lynn is up top and Waterman joins him, pounding away on Lynn. [Winner Faces the NAWA World Champion at Wildfire]:
Jerry Lynn defeated Ron Waterman by disqualification in 0:12:46.
Rating: *** 1/4

Waterman is incensed but Mamaluke wisley bolts, as Larry Sweeney laughs on the ramp at Ron Waterman's misfortunes. Lynn is down in the ring, as Stylish tries to enter the ring to take advantage of the number one contender, to take him out before Wildfire, but NAWA Commmissioner New Jack and security are out in the ring. New Jack says he's going to get this entire mess sorted out during the commercial break and we'll be back with this.

[commercial]

Sweeney is on the ramp, attempting to say since neither Waterman nor Lynn scored the pin, the NAWA World Championship match should revert to the real number one contender, the NAWA International Champion Tony Mamaluke but New Jack cuts him off, asking Sweeney if he wants his client to get what's coming to him. Sweeney nods and New Jack says fine, since his agent approved at Wildfire, Tony Mamaluke will square off against....Ron Waterman. Sweeney and Mamaluke are escatic before they realize what New Jack's done and they protest, but New Jack adds that Mamaluke's NAWA International Title will be on the line as a consolation price for the two matches that Mamaluke has screwed Waterman over. Sweeney yells that New Jack can't do that, but New Jack just tells security to escort Sweeney and Mamaluke out of the building.

Now, New Jack turns to Miles Stylish and Jerry Lynn who are both standing in a corner. The Commissioner confirms that Lynn is in fact the number one contender. Since Stylish has won one and Lynn has won one, it seems that we still haven't found out who the better man is. A one fall match won't be enough to settle this matter once and for all, so for the first time in NAWA history the NAWA World Title will be on the line in a match that is happenging for only the third time ever in this company and the other two times in fact involved Jerry Lynn. At Wildfire, Miles Stylish and Jerry Lynn will square off for the NAWA International Championship in a Sixty Minute Iron Man Match! Loud pop and Stylish doesn't seem too thrilled, but the Commissioner has spoken. That will be a helluva a main event for Wildfire, the first time ever the NAWA World Championship will be on the line in a Sixty Minute Iron Match, between champion Miles Stylish and challenger Jerry Lynn. Right now we are out of time, see you next week!

I don't know if I've ever told you, but New Jack rules as commissioner.  It's such a ridiculous concept that he'd be the one upholding the law, but I'll be damned if it doesn't work.  You've done a great job with Stylish, and you've done something I'm currently lacking at and have several viable challengers for the World Title.

The Gambler returns!  Leave it to Matt Harms to get the freain' Gambler over.  Madness, madness I say.  Good return but not sure how well he fits in along with Raven & Teddy Hart in the long run.

No way Shelley was going to win, but glad he didn't get buried and put on a great show.

The Rottweilers rule.  Good again you have going and I hope they beat the DoD.  I think they're your weaker created talent, truthfully.

Larry Sweeney rules and that's an awesome angle going with Mamaluke, making him interesting and relevant again.

Killings is awesome, though I really hate the "Rapmaster" name.  Hopefully with the new attitude he'll drop it.  I wonder if he'll actually join Sweeney.  My first instinct says no, but we shall see.

I don't think Styles will win the TV Title, but he's a great guy to go against Skyhawk.  Should lead to some good matches.

Oh, how things always blow up in the face of sneaky heels.  Mamaluke and Sweeney cause Waterman to lose by DQ in hopes to screw him and sneak in as the #1-contender, but instead he gets to fight Waterman and possibly lose his International Title. Only thing I don't like about the angle is how the International Title is being treated a bit on the back burner, but small beef.  Stylish vs. Lynn Iron Man Match will be great.

Good stuff.
