Yay Arn! :)

Flair can't be happy that he doesn't have the belt around his waist though.  I wonder if anything with arise from Flair not being in the spotlight.
Critic of the DawnPosted on 07/21/04 at 08:55:18

Did I say Ole Anderson?  I meant Arn Anderson!

Seriously, though, he should make an excellent champion.

Interesting bit with Billy Jack Haynes attacking his partner before the bell and going on to win the match.  Going to follow up on that at all, or does Wahoo McDaniel understand that it was nothing personal?

Rick GarrardPosted on 07/21/04 at 15:10:27

well, all I can say is time will tell.  I've not really planned that far in advance yet.  But Wahoo and Manny are teaming in week 9, and I think Ole recognized that fighting for the title was merely business and nothing personal with Arn.
Critic of the DawnPosted on 07/21/04 at 18:27:29

I'm not too worried about the Andersons, really.  THey seemed to keep things mostly fair, and Dillion made his two clients shake hands after the match was over.  If there was a problem between them, one of them would probably have refused.

But Wahoo and Manny... interesting...

Hmm,

One of my favorite teams of that era was Rude and the Bull... and they were managed by Number One Paul Jones.  Hmmmm

As I fondly remember them beating Ricky and Robert
on TBS....
Rick GarrardPosted on 07/22/04 at 01:15:06

If the folks at Championship Wrestling ever cue up the song "We Will Rock You" by Queen, you can bet that Rude and Manny may just be a tag team with Paul Jones at their side.  :)

And yes that was something I had thought of for a potential future team.  :)

Wasn't Rude a babyface then?
Rick GarrardPosted on 07/22/04 at 03:05:13

No he was not.  They won the titles from and lost them back to the Rock N Roll Express, so that would have firmly planted Rude and Manny as heels.

.....I don't seem to remember Rude ever being a face anywhere.....
Rick GarrardPosted on 07/22/04 at 03:20:25

Rude was a face in ECW while he was the announcer that was anti-Shane Douglas until he finally showed his true colors and helped Shane.
