Tonight on the card, Paul Jones faces Manny Fernandez in a qualifier match. Ricky Morton takes on Bobby Eaton in a rematch from last week. Ivan Koloff does battle with Ole Anderson in what should be a hard hitting contest. In Tag team action, Wahoo McDaniel & Billy Jack Haynes step in the ring with Nikita Koloff & Krusher Khrushchev. In our third qualifier of the evening, Ric Flair takes on Robert Gibson. In the seventh qualifier overall, Rick Steamboat faces Dennis Condrey. The Tag Team Titles are on the line as the champions, Dusty Rhodes and Jimmy Valiant, defend against The Original Ishingun. And in the main event, Magnum T.A. will be tied to Tully Blanchard in a bullrope match!

WOW! Robert Gibson has done the unthinkable! He has made the Nature Boy pass out to the sleeper! Gibson is now in the tournament for the heavyweight title. Flair will have to try to qualify next week in our last chance battle royal qualifier for those not already in the tournament.

Those darn commies :)  (Hey, they should have an interview segment called that...)

Even before knowing the last contender for the title, I think Arn Anderson is gonna win.  I can't wait to see if my prediction is right.  It'd be great to see Gibson vs. Morton in the first round too.

Well if it happens it won't be until at least year 2 per the rules...

Even before knowing the last contender for the title, I think Arn Anderson is gonna win. I can't wait to see if my prediction is right. It'd be great to see Gibson vs. Morton in the first round too.

They were TOTALLY unexpected when they appeared. :) The m key wins again. Sadly they are on their way to Japan for the next two weeks and won't be joining us again until week 10 when they face the #1 contenders in a mandatory title defense.

side note:
I'm really getting into this new circuit. If I can keep up this pace, it shouldn't be too long before I make it to week 60, meaning new rules :)
