GLWF Action TV: 2/11/06...

americamamushiPosted on 03/01/07 at 02:57:15

Welcome wrestling fans to GLWF Action TV!  We're coming to you from the Lakeland High School gymnasium in LaGrange, Indiana.  We've got three great matches lined up including Jimmy Jacobs' first match since he returned from injury as well as a match for the tag team titles!  But first lets get down to ringside for our opening bout!

"The Angry Amish Chicken Plucker" Roadkill vs. Sonny Siaki

Roadkill always gets a warm reception from the fans.  He's like a big teddy bear... a big teddy bear that has an odd obsession with chickens, but a big teddy bear none the less.  Tonight however, he had a much bigger than normal reception as LaGrange is home to one of the largest Amish communities in the Great Lakes region.  Roadkill must've felt right at home.  Sonny Siaki had that same fire tonight that he had last week when he managed to get a decisisive win over the Angry Amish Chicken Plucker, but Roadkill's burners were on full blast tonight too.  The spirit of the Amish was strong in him tonight and while Siaki put on a good showing, Roadkill managed to channel the power of the beard into a victory when Siaki tried to hit the Siakolypse NOW, but couldn't and Roadkill got Siaki up on his shoulders and hit the Barn Burner, following it up with the Amish Splash for the 3.

Roadkill pinned Sonny Siaki with the Amish Splash in 0:11:57.

We're shown the locker area now, where our Television champion Petey Williams is present.  Mr. Kennedy appears and approaches Petey.  He tells the TV champion that he put on a good showing against that loser Alex Shelley last week.  He continues to say that he wouldn't have been as lucky had it been Mr. Kennedy on the otherside of that ring from Williams, but that wasn't why he was there tonight.  Mr. Kennedy said that last week he had a vision.  That vision was himself and Petey Williams... as the tag team champions.  Petey was receptive to that notion and the two had a mildly tense handshake on the idea of teaming together and going for the Great Lakes Tag Team titles.

"Hussamania" Jimmy Jacobs vs.  "The Cat" Ernest Miller

It wasn't the same ol' Barbaric Berserker that we had all come to know and love, but no matter what form Jimmy Jacobs takes, the fans love him, even if he does think that he's Hulk Hogan.  Ernest Miller had a chance to do Rene Dupree a favor tonight and put a hurtin' on Jacobs before his match with his compadre in two weeks.  On the surface Dupree doesn't seem to think Jacobs poses a threat to him, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind it if Miller sent Jacobs into his match with Dupree with a few bumps and bruises.  Miller jumped on Jacobs fast and with a fury that we don't normally seem to see from the Cat.  Jacobs wasn't able to get in any offense.  Then all of the sudden Jacobs no sold a punch!  And again!  He's hulking up!  Jacobs is hulking up!  One more punch!  And there's the point!  Jacobs is wagging his finger is dissaproval!  Miller isn't sure what to think.  He throws a punch, but Jacobs blocks and hits one of his own, then another, then another.  He whips Miller into the ropes... clothesline!  And another!  Jacobs poses.  Miller gets up and runs into the ropes, Jacobs ducks a clothesline attempt from the Cat... big boot!  Miller is down and Jacobs is calling for it... he runs into the ropes... BIG LEG DROP!  One... two... three!

Jimmy Jacobs pinned Ernest Miller after a Big Leg Drop in 0:04:41.

As Jacobs is celebrating Hogan style out runs Rene Dupree with the French Flag... Jacobs doesn't see him and gets rocks hard by a shot from the flag.  That hit broke the flag pole.  Dupree lays the flag over the body of the knocked out Jacobs and smirks to the crowd as they boo him.

Back stage we see Michael Shane sitting in a chair.  His head is in his hands and he definitely doesn't seem to be himself since not only the loss to Samoa Joe, but since the forced break up of the Age of Shane.  Chris Masters is standing behind him and puts his hand on Shane's shoulder.  Masters tries to give Shane a pep talk and tell him that some day soon he'll be back on top of the GLWF and reclaim whats rightfully his, the Great Lakes Heavyweight title because like he said, he is the Once and Future King.  The talk doesn't seem to have much of an effect on Shane in his current state though.

Main Event for the Great Lakes Tag Team Titles: High Impact (Tony Santorelli & Mike Taylor) w/Tracy Taylor vs. Los Corazones Negros (Hector Garza & Mistico) (c) w/ Shocker

This match marked the tag division debut for the team of Tony Santorelli and Mike Taylor (led to the ring by Mike's wife Tracy Taylor) otherwise known as High Impact, which is exactly what their style is.  They work in tandem to hit impressive and innovative high impact tag moves.  That's their thing that they do and by god they do it well.  Los Corazones Negros are no strangers to good tandem offense mind you, but they seemed to have to rely mostly on their lucha libre stylings to get advantages in the match.  High Impact kept the match about 50/50 and had a lot riding on the bout as well.  They not only wanted to have a win in their first tag division match, but a win would also give them the tag team titles.  Shocker didn't play a roll in the match until the very end when Santorelli got thrown to the outside and Shocker attacked him.  Garza and Mistico joined in and Mike Taylor tried to save him, but couldn't help enough.  Tracy couldn't do much besides sit back and watch her team's chances at winning the Great Lakes Tag Team titles fall apart as the ref got closer and closer to 10 and finally reached it just after Hector Garza slid back into the ring giving Los Corazones Negros the win by countout and keeping those gold belts around their waists for yet another week.

Los Corazones Negros (Hector Garza and Mistico) defeated High Impact (Tony Santorelli and Mike Taylor) when Garza defeated Santorelli by countout in 0:11:18.

[Shocker interfered against Tony Santorelli.]

As Los Corazones all celebrated out runs Television Champion Petey Williams and Mr. Kennedy!  They begin to assault the tired Garza & Mistico as well as their manager Shocker.  It's not long before Mike Taylor and Tony Santorelli are in the ring joining the battle.  The three teams eventually brawl their way up the aisle and to the back.

What an exciting close to the evening.  Mr. Kennedy and Petey Williams have made their first strike in the tag division and it seems that they already have a game plan for getting a shot at those tag team belts.  Amish Roadkill got the win with a little help from the spirit of his bretheren here in Amish Country.  Jimmy Jacobs showed that even as Hussamania he can get the job done, but Dupree saw an opportunity and took it, clocking Jacobs with the French Flag after Jimmy won his match.  Here's what we have in store for next week:  Austin Aries has been given a rematch with Josh Abercrombie after losing by a blatant DQ last week, one half of the tag team champions Mistico will face off against Television Champion Petey Williams in a non-title match, the other half of the tag team champions Hector Garza will take on one half of Team No Fear in Eric Young and in the main event Michael Shane will take on H.B. Cade in his first match since the break up of the Age of Shane.  We hope you enjoyed Action TV this evening, we'll see you next week from our home back in Kalamazoo, Michigan!

The Amish love wrestling!  And they love Roadkill, who gets a win over Siaki.  It's too bad Roadkill is released now though.  Poor guy. :)

Ken Kennedy is such a schemer.  I don't think Petey should trust him, heel/heel dynamic or not.

Hehe... Jacobs Hulked up, and he won in hilarious fashion.  Ah... Hulk gimmicks are so silly. :)  Dupree doesn't feel like being silly though as he smashed Jacobs' silly head with the Frenchie flag.

Shane needs to turn that frown... sideways?  *scratches head* Wait a minute...

A good debut for High Impact, and truthfully, about the result I expected.  They don't lose a lot of heat, and of course they weren't going to win the titles their first match in.  The Kennedy/Petey attack after was good, and looks like we have some triangle fun on the horizon.
