GLWF Action TV: 2/4/06...

americamamushiPosted on 02/27/07 at 01:53:17

Good evening wrestling fans and thanks for joining us on yet another addition of GLWF Action TV!  Tonight we've got four great matches lined up for you tonight including a re-match for the GLWF Television title which is sure to be a doozy.  Plus we'll hear Rene Dupree's reaction to the return of Jimmy Jacobs who seems to be slightly off his rocker at the moment and Samoa Joe faces a special guest opponent in a non-title match!  Now, lets get down to our first match of the evening...

"The Angry Amish Chicken Plucker" Roadkill vs. Sonny Siaki

With the days of "Savage" Siaki seeming to be behind him, Sonny Siaki has a new fire burning under him which he definitely showed here tonight against Roadkill.  Roadkill is one an easy foe to take down thanks to his size and prowess for someone of his stature, but Sonny Siaki was relentless in his attack.  Siaki wasn't opposed to using underhanded tactics and whatever he thought would get him the win tonight, but having a guy like Roadkill reeling the way Siaki did is not a claim many men can make.  Siaki finished things up after ducking a springboard clothesline attempt from the big Amish Monster and then popping up top for a flying somersault neckbreaker and a close three count.

Sonny Siaki pinned Roadkill after a flying somersault neckbreaker in 0:07:52.

At this point, out from the curtain emerges Rene Dupree.  Dupree opens with a knock on the fine people of Kalamazoo which doesn't go over well for obvious reasons.  Dupree cuts right to the chase saying that he was amused that Jimmy Jacobs could become any more pathetic.  He says that he'll gladly face Jacobs and he'll gladly injure him again as well.  Next time he puts Jacobs on the shelf it'll be permanently.

Josh Abercrombie vs. Austin Aries

Both of these men have things to prove tonight.  Abercrombie has been trying to get his career back on track and the loss to Nigel McGuinness thanks to his new cocky attitude didn't help that quest any.  Austin Aries is appearing for the first time in a long time in the ring without the power of the now defunct Age of Shane behind him.   Sure, he's a former Television champion, but he also doesn't have the added confidence of knowing that there is a pack of wolves backing you up.  The two went at it hard, not worrying about anything except winning.  As Aries started finally gaining a definite advantage in a match that seemed to be a stalemate, Josh Abercrombie became more and more frustrated and eventually resorted to clocking Austin Aries with a vicious chair shot right in front of the referee, causing a disqualification and giving Aries a W, though surely not the way he wanted one.

Austin Aries defeated Josh Abercrombie by disqualification in 0:11:07.

Clara Michaels introduces Great Lakes Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe along with his manager Traci Brooks, to a huge ovation.  Clara Michaels then proceeds to announce his opponent for this evening's non-title bout.  Someone from the Mixed Martial Arts world that apparently isn't impressed with pro wrestling or Samoa Joe's hybrid style... Daniel Puder!

Non-Title Match: Daniel Puder vs. Samoa Joe (w/ Traci Brooks)

In a bit of surprise Samoa Joe finds himself facing Daniel Puder tonight in his non-title bout.  The match starts off with a few MMA/wrestling takedown/exchanges, but Daniel Puder is quickly over powered by Samoa Joe and Joe managed to lock in the Kokina Clutch.  Puder holds on as long as he can, but as Joe wrenches the lock Puder is forced to tap out.  If anyone had doubts about the strength and talent of Samoa Joe or how dominant his title reign has the potential to be, hopefully this forceful win will help clear the air.

[Non-Title Match]:
Samoa Joe made Daniel Puder submit to the Kokina Clutch in 0:02:19.

Main Event Re-Match for the GLWF Television Title: Alex Shelley vs. Petey Williams (c)

Petey Williams' winning of the GLWF Television title isn't without controversy.  It stemmed on the departure of Harry Smith and his being a surprise replacement in the match.  Alex Shelley would like nothing better than to get his hands back on the TV title, but as tainted as Williams' victory was, he's a guy that can get it done in the ring.  A win tonight for either man would be no easy task.  The match started off a little slower than expected.  Neither man wanted to make a mistake, but when it heated up, things heated up quickly.  It was hard to say if either man had a distinct advantage tonight as they seemed for the most part fairly even, both spending time in control until the other found an opening, no matter how small, to turn things in their favor.  What it came down to though wasn't the the will to win the title back of Alex Shelley, nor the will to retain the title of Petey Williams.  What this match came down to was the action of a man not even involved in the bout.  Alex Shelley managed to hit the It Came From Japan onto Williams and was signaling that things were over as the ref lay knocked out in the corner from an accidental clothesline.  Shelley picked up Williams for the Shell Shock when out from the back runs Mr. Kennedy!  Kennedy slides into the ring with a pair of brass knuckles!  Shelley takes a swing, but Kennedy ducks and rings Shelley's bell hard!  Shelley is down and just for good measure Mr. Kennedy heads up top and hits the Kenton Bomb!  He rolls out of the ring laughing as both Williams and the ref start to stir on the inside.  Williams managed to pick up Shelley and hit the Canadian Destroyer and the groggy referee counts the three.

[Main Event]:
Petey Williams pinned Alex Shelley with the Canadian Destroyer in 0:14:49.

(Petey Williams retained the GLWF Television title.)
[Mr. Kennedy interfered against Alex Shelley.]

After Williams is handed his title Mr. Kennedy snatches the microphone out of the hands of Clara Michaels and proceeds to berate Alex Shelley, saying that's what he gets for making Mr. Kennedy look bad and costing him a shot at the Television title.  He warns Shelley and anyone else not to cross his path because nobody makes Mr. Kennedy look bad.

What an end to the night.  Alex Shelley has been screwed out becoming a two time Television champion thanks to Mr. Kennedy.  Ladies and gentlemen, make sure to join us next week when we'll be coming to you from Amish Country where we'll see the Amish Homeboy himself Roadkill face off once again against Sonny Siaki, "Hussamania" Jimmy Jacobs faces Rene Dupree's pal and confidante Ernest Miller and High Impact will make their tag division debut against the Great Lakes Tag Team Champions Los Corazones Negros!  We hope to see you there, have a great night everybody!

Siaki rules.  I'm still looking for a spot for him in GCW.  Maybe in the X division, which is going to need some new faces sooner or later.  But he looks good, and Roadkill continues to wade away in limbo.  Mmm... limbo...

Dupree is a meanie.  You leave the Husster alone!

Abercrombie with a blatant chairshot.  Did not see that coming.  His quest for respect continues.

Heh... didn't see Puder appearance.  Did see him getting his ass whooped though.  The champ continues to dominate.

Good main event with some good wrestling, and it looks like we have ourselves a feud a-brewing between Kennedy and Shelley.  Kennedy better dominate it, because quite frankly, he's the future, the future I say!
