GLWF Action TV: 1/28/06...

Hello ladies & gentleman and welcome to GLWF Action TV!  Tonight could very well be a night that goes down in the record books as we may very well see the end of the Age of Shane, a group that has put themselves at the top of the game since they formed.  Plus we've got two more exciting matches lined up for you so lets not hesitate a moment longer and get right down to the action!

Josh Abercrombie vs. Nigel McGuinness

Nigel McGuinness has proven in his GLWF career that he is a major player.  He has the talent to go places here and for all intents and purposes no one has any doubt that those places are indeed in his future.  Abercrombie on the other hand has had a rough time of things since his debut all those months ago during the birth of GLWF.  Recently though he has come out and made a statement to everyone, a huge one in fact.  He is Josh Abercrombie and he is here.  Not only is he here, but he's not to be taken lightly any longer, especially after he unveiled himself as the man who put Raven out of commission and then framed Shannon Moore for it.  Surprisingly Abercrombie was keeping up with Nigel here tonight for the most part.  In a strange turn of events it was Abercrombie's cocky attitude that ended up turning the tides.  McGuinness was the one that kept his head in the game where it belongs and ended up catching Abercrombie with a harsh looking DDT that stunned Josh long enough for Nigel to get a quick three count.

Nigel McGuinness pinned Josh Abercrombie after a DDT in 0:07:49.

"The Showstopper" H.B. Cade vs. Mr. Kennedy

In most minds the out come of this match was probably never really in question.  Mr. Kennedy has been seemingly pretty much take GLWF by storm, H.B. Cade, not so much.  Cade got in some good offense, unfortunately in this case quantity would've been better than quality.  Kennedy stayed in control, but gave up a pin attempt to gloat to the audience.  That almost cost him big as Cade got a roll up for 2.9.  Kennedy took that as a wake up call and worked to quickly finish the match, which involved a low blow the ref apparently didn't catch (The GLWF doesn't provide an eye care plan...) and a bodyslam setting up for the Kenton Bomb from the top rope.  After the match when Cade started stirring he was visibly upset with himself over the loss.  It seems that it's finally causing Cade to start cracking at the seems a little.

Mr. Kennedy pinned H.B. Cade after the Kenton Bomb in 0:09:55.

It's at this moment that we're met with something over the PA.  "HUSS! HUSS! HUSS!" it's Jimmy Jacob's music!  Jacob's is back!  He comes through the curtain... but he's not doing his usual stomping around and hussing..  Jimmy is decked out in red and yellow tie-dye tights, red furred boots, a yellow bandanna and a yellow shirt that says... "Hussamania?!"  Jimmy poses in the aisle just like Hulk Hogan in his heyday and proceeds to rip off the Hussamania shirt, though he has a slightly harder time of it.  After a short match with the dreaded cotton/polyester blend he's back on his way to the ring.  It's Hogan to a tee... except not 6'6", less than 200lbs. soaking wet and garden snakes instead of pythons.  After playing to the happy (though terribly confused fans) he requests the microphone and asks if all the GLWF Hussamaniacs have been saying their prayers and taking their vitamins, because thats what he's been doing and now he's back and he wants some payback brother!  He wants Rene Dupree in a match.  The man that 10 months ago put him out of action by dropping him on his head. (Which explains the thinking he's Hulk Hogan.  We'd heard that there was trauma suffered and he may not be quite the same Jimmy when he came back, but officials chalked that up to cautious doctors)  Jacobs closes up by asking Dupree a simple question: "Whatcha gonna do brother?!  When Hussamania and the 12 inch pythons run wild on you!"  Jimmy poses for the crowd a little in the ring and continues to play to them Hogan-style all the way to the back.

Now was the time for Samoa Joe to announce his two partners for tonight match with Age of Shane members Michael Shane, Chris Masters and Austin Aries who are already in the ring and awaiting their opponents.  Joe emerges from the curtain and says that the end of the Age of Shane has been a long time coming and tonight once again it'd be about wrestling.  No Traci at ringside in their corner and no Nigel McGuinness at ringside for the Age of Shane.  It would be 3-on-3 and it would equal the destruction of a faction that has had their hands around the throat of GLWF for far too long.  And now his partners in tonight's match, two guys that he feels definitely deserve a spot on the GLWF roster... Tony Santorelli and Mike Taylor!  High Impact!

Main Event: Samoa Joe & High Impact (Tony Santorelli & Mike Taylor) vs. The Age of Shane (Michael Shane, Chris Masters, & Austin Aries)

Samoa Joe and High Impact rush the ring and we have a giant cluster fuck on our hands to start off our main event.  Michael Shane and Joe pair off and head to the outside, with Michael Shane seeming to do whatever he can to get away from Samoa Joe and run to safety.  High Impact impress the fans off the bat with a chain of nice tandem moves that send Austin Aries to the outside, and even with a bit more effort, Chris Masters, who while strong, didn't have the speed to keep up with Santorelli and Taylor in the exchange.  High Impact was on fire for much of the match, except when they were cut off from eachother.  If they were caught in a situation where it was almost like they were wrestling a singles match they quickly fell apart.  It truly seemed like the match could've gone either way, like the Age of Shane was not yet to be counted out.  Chris Masters managed to lock the Masterlock on Samoa Joe, but just before Joe faded away Mikey Taylor managed to get into the ring and break the hold saving his team.  Joe & High Impact got on a huge roll toward the end with a dazed ref trying to get back up in the corner, at which point Chris Masters threw a chair into the ring for Michael Shane, but Samoa Joe intercepted it!  High Impact jumped Masters and Aries before they could intervene... but out runs Nigel McGuinness!  He slides in, but Joe caught him out of the corner of his eye and clocks Nigel with a harsh chair shot!  Michael Shane hits Samoa Joe with a kick to the groin before he can turn back around!  Joe falls to the mat and Michael Shane ascends the turnbuckle with the chair!  It looks like he's going to try for the Picture Perfect Elbow with the chair, but Joe gets up and as Shane is trying to steady himself on the top with the chair Joe dives onto the top rope crotching Shane on the turnbuckle!  Joe stumbles to the turnbuckle and climbs up to the second turnbuckle... it looks like he's going for a superplex... no!  Joe hits the Muscle Buster from the second rope!  He drapes his arm over Shane.  The ref crawls over... one... two... THREE!

[Main Event]:
Samoa Joe & High Impact (Tony Santorelli and Mike Taylor) defeated The Age of Shane (Michael Shane, Chris Masters and Austin Aries) when Joe pinned M. Shane after a 2nd rope Muscle Buster in 0:27:43.

Well there you have it ladies and gentlemen, the end of the Age of Shane.  That chapter of GLWF has been put to rest once and for all.  Samoa Joe has definitely cemented himself as a champion to be reckoned with.  And from the looks of it High Impact will be a force in the tag division as they really showed some impressive teamwork.  The real question is what will become of the members of the Age of Shane.  Will they be able to function as well without their friends in their corners?  One has to wonder how this will shape the future of the GLWF.  And the return of Jimmy Jacobs did not come without a little bit of strangeness attached to it.  Apparently the head trauma that Jacobs suffered at the hands of Rene Dupree 10 months ago that put him on the shelf for a while has caused Jimmy to believe that he is the Immortal one himself.  He has put out a challenge to Dupree and next week, we'll hear exactly what the French Phenom has to say.  Speaking of next week we can also look forward to Sonny Siaki taking on Roadkill, Josh Abercrombie vs. Austin Aries in Aries' first match without the Age of Shane behind him, Samoa Joe will meet someone in an open challenge in a non-title match and Petey Williams defends the Television title in a re-match against Alex Shelley.  That's it for tonight folks, we'll see you next week!

Abercrombie is here, and Abercrombie is... losing!  It was to be expected though, as McGuinness is in it to win it!

Well of course Mr. Kennedy is gonna win, because, well, he's the fucking man.  Take that, silly Cade!

Jimmy Jacobs is back!  And he's insane!  I believe in Hussamania!  HUSS HUSS HUSS!

Good way to debut High Impact as Joe's buddies.  He finally has a little backup around this place.  and the Age of Shane breaks up.  I know Shane will still be a player, but I'm curious how the rest of the squad is going to hold up sans togetherness.  Ah... togetherness...
