GLWF Action TV: 12/17/05...

americamamushiPosted on 09/06/06 at 03:10:40

Welcome to GLWF Action TV!  Tonight we're once again coming to you live from our home in Kalamazoo, Michigan at the GLWF Facilities for another great night of pro wrestling!  Tonight we've got four matches lined up for you including a Great Lakes Tag title match in our main event.  Now without any further ado lets get down to the ring for our first bout of the evening.

Josh Abercrombie vs. Sexxxy Eddy

Sexxxy Eddy is not a member of the GLWF roster, but definitely seemed to realize the importance of this match up.  A win for him tonight could spell contract and with GLWF's obvious connections to GCW being on the GLWF roster could lead you on the road to eventual stardom.  It was not to be though.  Eddy didn't look bad, but Abercrombie was on like a fridge light when the door is open tonight.  After Abercrombie hit the Taliban Backpack the ref make the three count and Josh picks up another win.

Josh Abercrombie pinned Sexxxy Eddy with the Taliban Backpack in 0:05:45.

In the back we see Toland and Young getting ready.  Toland is trying to psyche Young up, but all Young seems to be able to do is worry about every possibly details that could, but chances are wouldn't happen during the match.  Once it started getting as ridiculous as being abducted by the government for secret alien experiments Toland started to get frustrated.  He grabbed Young by the shoulders and told him that FDR once said we have nothing to fear but fear itself, which prompted Eric to say "FDR... he was the guy in the wheelchair right?  What if I end up in a wheelchair?" at which point Toland slapped him and said from now on he and Eric will be known as Team No Fear.  He told Eric to psyche himself up because tonight they're going to win the Great Lakes Tag Team titles before walking away.  Before the camera cuts back to the ring Young quips "Jeez... talk about high strung..."

"The Showstopper" H.B. Cade vs. "Savage" Siaki

Cade has been on a bit of a cold streak as of late.  He hasn't been having luck in the ring or with the fans and many probably expected this match to go just about the way it did.  Cade tried hard but just couldn't seem to find his groove which allowed Siaki to virtually maintain all control of the match from start to finish.  Not to detract anything from Siaki, as he is a force to be reckoned with but Cade is better than this.  He really seems to have lost his way.  Thats not saying that the Cade we used to see would've won this match, it's hard to speculate what this match could've been, but Cade would've been able to put up a much better front at the very least.  Siaki seems to be back on track picking up a win thanks to a swinging neckbreaker and a quick pin, but Cade really needs to find a way to get back into the driver seat so to speak.

Siaki pinned H.B. Cade after a swinging neckbreaker in 0:07:31.

Ron Killings music hits and out he comes to the cheers of the crowd.  He says that it hasn't been that long since he showed up in GLWF, but he's already sick of Mr. Kennedy and his big mouth.  He'll admit that Kennedy isn't some slouch that can't get things done in the wrestling ring, but he needs to be taught a lesson in respect and humility.  A lesson that Ron Killings says he plans to teach Mr. Kennedy two weeks from tonight on New Years Eve.

In the back we see Shannon Moore and once again he's approached by Jim Cornette.  Moore lets off a disgruntled groan as he can't seem to have two second to himself without Jim Cornette there, lurching behind him waiting for a slip up of some sort.  Cornette tells Shannon that he got really lucky last week against Harry Smith but that he isn't going to be so lucky against Alex Shelley in his TV title match next week.  He tells Moore that the evidence is around here somewhere and he's getting close to it.  So close he can almost smell it and once he finds it Shannon Moore is finally going to pay for what he did.

"The Angry Amish Chicken Plucker" Roadkill vs. Nigel McGuinness

Very early on in the match Gunner Scott came down to ringside with what looked like intentions to just watch Nigel wrestle Roadkill and possibly try and get in Nigel's head a little bit.  If those were his intentions then they certainly worked.  Nigel was wrestling well and out maneuvering Roadkill despite giving up power to the Amish one, but Scott's presence at ringside served as a definite distraction causing McGuinness to make some uncharacteristic mistakes.  Nigel did manage however to come close to winning after crotching Roadkill on the top rope after an attempt at the Amish Splash.  He hit the Tower of London and looked to try for a pinfall when Scott popped up on the apron.  Nigel got in his face and the two jawed at eachother for a second before Gunner hauled off and slapped Nigel hard across the face.  McGuinness tried to grab Scott but he jumped down from the apron too quickly.  McGuinness turned his attention back to the match, but too late as Roadkill had time to recover and McGuinness walked right into a Dirt Road Slam.

Roadkill pinned Nigel McGuinness after the Dirt Road Slam in 0:10:41.
Rating: *** 1/2
[Gunner Scott interfered against Nigel McGuinness.]

At this point Michael Shane appears from behind the curtain with Chris Masters.  It definitely looks like Michael Shane has a different attitude since losing the Heavyweight title to Samoa Joe two weeks ago.  He calls out Samoa Joe, but then makes note that Joe isn't in the arena tonight, citing that it's because of Traci.  Traci kept him away from the arena tonight because she doesn't want him to know the truth.  He goes on to say that deep down in the pit of his soul Samoa Joe knows that there is something amiss and sooner or later he's going to start asking questions and Camelot will come crashing to the ground.  And when it does Michael Shane will be there to reclaim what is his because he is the once and future king of GLWF.

In the back we see Shannon Moore's duffel back sitting in a chair.  Someone walks by it, carefully unzips it and drops a pair of car keys into it.  The camera doesn't show their face so we can't tell who it is but this cannot bode well for Shannon Moore.

Main Event for the Great Lakes Tag Team Championship Titles: Team No Fear (Tank Toland & Eric Young) vs. Los Corazones Negros (Hector Garza & Mistico) (c)

One almost wants to feel sorry for Eric Young.  He's so paranoid about everything and jittery.  It's amazing he ever became a wrestler in the first place really.  He's got talent in there, but he's usually too terrified to show it.  Garza and Mistico seemed to take Tank and Young far too lightly tonight.  The match for the most part saw Tank taking on Garza and Mistico with small pockets of Eric Young here and there before he would retreat and tag Toland back in.  LCN didn't seem like they were in danger of losing the titles outright, but it was obvious that they were underestimating the duo of Toland and Young, now known as Team No Fear.  They were underestimating them enough that in the very near future if Toland and Young can find their groove and Tank can get his cousin Eric to stay in the ring longer than a couple minutes they could easily be legitimate threats for capturing the tag titles from LCN.  Towards the end of the match former tag team champions Rene Dupree and Ernest Miller came out to the ring like bolts of lightning.  Miller pulled Garza off the apron and caught him by surprise with his harsh martial arts kicks while Dupree jumped up on the apron and grabbed Tank Toland's arm, jumped down from the apron wrenching Toland's arm down over the top rope, seeming to almost pull it out of it's socket.  The other legal man, Mistico seized the opportunity and hits Tank with La Mistica on the already hurting arm causing Toland to quickly tap out before severely damaging his shoulder.  Young looked like he was about to crap his pants and was pretty much frozen on the ring apron like a deer in headlights as a big brawl erupted.  Since Young didn't seems to be doing anything no one paid him much attention while the five others brawled to end the show.

[Main Event]:
Los Corazones Negros (Hector Garza and Mistico) defeated Team No Fear (Tank Toland and Eric Young) when Mistico made Tank submit to La Mistica in 0:13:34.
Rating: ***
(Los Corazones Negros retained the Great Lakes Tag Team titles.)
[Rene Dupree interfered against Tank Toland.]

It looks like Dupree & Miller are looking back towards regaining the tag team titles and they've definitely made their intentions known here tonight.  Those two can be quite a goofy duo at times, but when they are on the same page they can be quite a force thats for sure.  And Michael Shane made an interesting point this evening that it really has to only be a matter of time until Samoa Joe finds out the truth about how he won the Great Lakes Heavyweight title from Michael Shane and the fall out from that could be bad if it ever comes.  Make sure to join us next week when we'll be coming to you on Friday instead of Saturday for our GLWF Christmas special where we'll be bringing you a triple threat match featuring Hector Garza, Tank Toland and Ernest Miller, Gunner Scott and Roadkill will team up to face Age of Shane members Austin Aries and Nigel McGuinness and in the main event it'll be Alex Shelley defending his GLWF Television title against Shannon Moore!  Plus since it will be the GLWF Christmas special there will be a special appearance from the jolly one himself Santa Clause!  Make sure to join us next week for more GLWF Action TV!  We'll see you then!

I still love the name "Taliban Backpack" for the lung blower.  Sexxxy Eddie gets introduced to the universe, but not in a very successful way.

Team No Fear!  Yes... this gimmick rules.

Yeah, suck it Cade.  We gotta find something for this big lug to do.  And Siaki gets back on track again.

Yeah, Killings going to go all gangsta on Kennedy's bitch ass.

Roadkill is beating Nigel now.  Gunner is certainly in his head.  But I fear not, for Nigel is in it to win it!

Michael Shane seems to know the truth, but it looks like he's going to refrain from blurting it out.  Why?  Unknown at this time.

Ack!  Mystery man putting car keys in Moore's satchel!

Didn't see Toland and Young winning the tag titles this soon, but a good showing, and nice to see Dupree and the Cat getting involved.  I thought me calling up Lashley was going to kill your tag division, but you have 3 permanent teams that are tough, plus I'm sure a team with the Age of Shane could get involved too.

Oh, another of my Indy favorites makes an appearance in GLWF... too bad Abercrombie has a moustache. And the Taliban Backpack.

Team No Fear rules hard. At least Young does, he's the man and the source of so much fun.

I'm kinda looking forward in the next step in the Cornette / Moore angle. It's sort of been at a standstill for some time now.

Really love the Joe vs Shane feud. It's been going on the entire year, and I'm still loving it.

Oh.. someone's trying to frame poor Shannon Moore. Who framed Shannon Moore?

I think Roadkill should be your Santa Clause. Or maybe Jim Cornette.
