GLWF Action TV: 12/3/05...

americamamushiPosted on 09/04/06 at 05:41:46

Welcome to GLWF Action TV!  Tonight we're back home in Kalamazoo, Michigan at the GLWF Facilities for what promises to be a big night of wrestling!  Tonight we've got four matches in store for you with the big ladder match between Michael Shane and Samoa Joe for the heavyweight title in the main event!  It promises to be an evening of excitement so lets get down to the ring to kick off our first match.

"The Angry Amish Chicken Plucker" Roadkill vs. Delirious

The outcome of this match probably seemed obvious to many, but then again who knows what the hell Delirious is ever going to do.  Like tonight for instance.  Delirious came out to the ring with a bucket of Col. Sanders' original recipe and Roadkill being the chicken lover (sadly, pun intended) that he is wanted the chicken.  The tender thighs... the juicy breasts... and yes, we're still talking about chicken.  Roadkill seemed more concerned with getting Delirious' chicken bucket than beating him up and chased him around the ring before the ref had a chance to ring the opening bell to start the match.  Roadkill caught up to Delirious and they had a tug of war with the bucket until it ripped in half, spilling the chicken to the floor and thoroughly enraging Roadkill and not even he will eat chicken on the floor... 5 second rule and all.  Delirious tried to retreat into the ring, but Roadkill followed him and the ref started the match finally.  Roadkill dominated Delirious pretty easily.  Delirious was a lot smaller not to mention that Roadkill was like a man possessed.  Someone should tell him not to cry over spilled chicken.  Delirious had a passing moment of offense at the very end, but ran right into a big Dirt Road Slam, giving Roadkill the victory.

Roadkill pinned Delirious after the Dirt Road Slam in 0:04:46.
Rating: ** 3/4

Josh Abercrombie vs. "Savage" Siaki

Abercrombie looked pretty good tonight against Siaki, though Siaki was a dominant force indeed having the strength advantage.  Siaki hasn't been on fire lately, but he's no slouch and to hold your own against him is still something to be proud of.  Ever since he sort of lost his mind several months ago Siaki has acquired a rather unorthodox style of wrestling, Abercrombie though didn't seem shaken by it and used it to his advantage, getting a good deal of offense in.  He got a two count after hitting a blue thunder bomb but was knocked to the outside by Siaki before he could follow it up.  While Abercrombie was on the outside out came someone in a mask... oh for the love of god it's Shannon Moore.  How do we know?  Because despite having a mask on he came out in his wrestling tights.  While they don't specifically say "Shannon Moore" on them... come on.  I mean seriously... come on.  Moore (in a mask) clocks Abercrombie with a chair and rolls him back into the ring, where Siaki grabs the knocked out Abercrombie and hits the Siakolypse NOW for the victory.

Siaki pinned Josh Abercrombie with the Siakolypse NOW in 0:06:40.

Michael Shane is seen in the back with his stable mates Nigel McGuinness, Austin Aries and Chris Masters.  Shane tells them not to come down the ring during his match.  They seem surprised that Michael Shane himself would say that to them and don't understand why.  Shane says it's because all these months he's always been better than Samoa Joe.  He knows it, Age of Shane knows it and Joe knows it, but Samoa Joe keeps placing blame onto the Age of Shane so that he can keep getting another shot, and another, and another.  Tonight however, it's going to stop.  He's going to beat Samoa Joe tonight and prove to everyone that he really is the Heavyweight champion and that Samoa Joe can't hold a candle to him.  Tonight when he beats Samoa Joe and Joe can't place blame on anything but himself, he's finally going to realize that if he wants to be the Great Lakes Heavyweight champion he's going to have to wait until Michael Shane retires.  He finishes by telling his cronies that just to make sure that they don't get caught up in the moment and attack Joe he wants them to leave the arena.  They are a little skeptical, but don't try and argue against Shane's wishes.

Handicap Match: Los Corazones Negros vs. Tank Toland & Mystery Partner

After LCN has made their entrance, out came Tank Toland... alone.  He got halfway down the aisle before he realized he was alone and frustrated went and stuck his head back behind the curtain.  Toland seemed to be having a tough time getting whoever was back their to come out.  Finally he was able to drag the person out... it's Eric Young!  And he looks absolutely terrified.  He's jumpier than a chihuahua on crack.  Toland formally introduces Eric to everyone and makes note that Eric is his cousin from Canada.  Once in the ring they have an argument about who will start.  Toland wants Young to start since it's his debut, Eric isn't quite as sure and wants Toland to go first.  Toland ended up wrestling much of the match as he'd usually end up getting cut off by LCN before he could tag Eric in or he'd get Eric in, but Eric would get scared and it wouldn't be too long before he'd tag himself out.  Toland was doing an excellent job of holding on though and showed a lot of heart against the odds.  At one point the ref had been knocked out and things got a little out of hand.  It looked bleak for Toland and Young as Mistico perched himself up top in waiting, Garza was ready to clock Young with a chair and Shocker was just about to set Toland (who were the legal men) up for Mistico to fly down onto.  Unfortunately for Los Corazones Negros, fate has a funny way of working.  See, Eric Young was so scared of the immanent chair shot that as Garza swung he passed out.  Garza hit the ropes with the chair, which proceeded to bounce back and he ended up hitting himself in the face.  When Garza hit the ropes, they shook, and Mistico ended up crotched.  Shocker was a little surprised by what had just went down and ate the Tank Turret from Toland who got a three count from a very groggy ref.

Handicap-Match:
Tank Toland and Eric Young defeated Los Corazones Negros (Hector Garza, Mistico and Shocker) when Tank pinned Shocker with the Tank Turret in 0:13:44.

Main Event Ladder Match for the Great Lakes Heavyweight title: Samoa Joe (w/ Traci Brooks) vs. "The Essence of Excellence" Michael Shane (c)

This match has to be one of, if not the biggest match in GLWF's short history.  It was the culmination of a long arduous feud between Samoa Joe and the Heavyweight champion Michael Shane.  In every singles encounter Samoa Joe has come up short against Michael Shane.  In fact, he's never pinned Michael Shane even in a tag match, nor made him submit.  The problem Samoa Joe has had with all this was the ever present bunch of cronies that Shane had in his employ to help the Essence of Excellence along and keep that gold around his waist.  Tonight though that was not going to be the case.  The Age of Shane had been sent home by Michael Shane himself and Traci Brooks was no longer with Shane after what happened last week, when he hit her with a piledriver for "getting in the way" as he put it.  Surprisingly, Michael Shane took an early lead, but it wasn't long before Samoa Joe used utter force to gain the advantage.  The stayed extremely even throughout the match and Michael Shane was handling Samoa Joe well without having his thugs help him out.  Traci was cheering Joe on, but at no point did she ever make an attempt to interfere in the match.  Shane was the one to bring the ladder into the ring, but he couldn't get anywhere with it as Joe hadn't been knocked silly enough to let him even set it up.  Joe tried for a back suplex onto the ladder, which was now laying down, but Shane flipped out and pulled Joe backwards slamming the back of his head into the steel.  Joe was also the first to be busted open after having the ladder rammed into his head.  Joe answered back later though with a heinous chair shot that cause a lovely little contusion on Shane.  The fans were loving every second.  It was well paced, splashed with just the right amount of high spots (Like when Joe was climbing up the ladder and Michael Shane came flying off the top rope with a huge desperation missile dropkick or Samoa Joe hitting the Island Driver off the apron through a table and Michael Shane hitting a beautiful Picture Perfect Elbow from the top of the ladder) and both gave it there all.  It raged on for just over a half hour and when we arrived at the end the ref had been inadvertently knocked out by an errant Yakuza Kick from Joe.  Michael Shane blasted Joe with a superkick and set up the ladder.  He began to climb towards the belt.  He was almost there when Samoa Joe was back up!  Joe is going up the otherside of the ladder!  The two are at the top, both with one hand on the belt and they re trading blows!  Both men have spent their entire being in this match up and you can see they are putting every last ounce of strength in here.  Finally, they rocks eachother at the same time and almost in slow motion they both fall backwards off the ladder and crashing to the mat... except Joe let go of the title and Michael Shane didn't!  He falls to the mat with the belt!  That had to be pure instinct right there!  The ref is still out though as are both wrestlers!  Traci Brooks looks worried... she climbs into the ring... and she grabs the belt off of Michael Shane and lays it on Samoa Joe!  He slides back out and wakes up the ref... the ref sees the belt on Joe and calls the match!!!  We have a knew Heavyweight champion but he has no idea that he won it the way he did!  Traci raises Joe hand, who can barely stand up, as Shane is still fairly motionless on the mat.

[Main Event]: Ladder Match:
Samoa Joe defeated Michael Shane in 0:34:44.

(Samoa Joe won the Great Lakes Heavyweight title.)
[Traci Brooks interfered against Michael Shane.]

Samoa Joe has ended Michael Shane's strangle hold on the Great Lakes Heavyweight title thanks to Traci Brooks!  He has no idea that he didn't win it fair and square and if he finds out what really went down you can imagine he won't be happy.  Make sure to join us next week when we'll see Gunner Scott take on Austin Aries, Ron Killings faces Shocker, plus we'll hear from the new Great Lakes Heavyweight champion Samoa Joe!  From GLWF Action TV here in Kalamazoo, Michigan, good night everyone!

Awww... I still would have eaten the chicken.  Silly wasteful Roadkill.  A good win for him though and despite constantly losing, the Lizard Man entertains.

Oh, you crazy unsubtle Shannon Moore.  Come on.  Seriously, come on.

I like Shane wanting to prove himself as the legit champion.  If he wins, Joe will have zero excuses whatsoever.

Ha... Young passed out!  The newest developmental signee looks... cowardly in his debut.  But his cowardice pays off and it looks like they have to be in line for a tag title shot.

An awesome main event.  Absolutely awesome.  Great match, and the ending was very innovative and clever.  Never mess with those bitches... they'll strike back on you with their venom. :)  Samoa Joe finally gets the title, but you found a way to give the crowd what they wanted and yet have a rematch be imminent.  Awesome stuff.

Ah... Delirious' ploy almost succeeded. Fun times with chicken and crazed madmen.

If Shannon Moore has half a brain, he'll understand he's more of a suspect now than ever before. "Shannon Moore in a mask interfered"... priceless.

Very nice spot with LCN and Eric Young. All your matches contain comedy elements tonight.. guess the main event will be super serious then ;)

And it was! Joe finally taking the belt home with him, even though he got some help in the process. Great main event and a great show. It did lack Jim Cornette, though.

Delirious's's best laid plan laid to waste by execution. He should have just given Roadkill the bucket on the outside and won by countout. Good to see Roadkill has some standards though.

Shannon Moore is super sneaky. But poor Siaki. It looked like he was getting a super push months ago and now he needs a chair shot to beat Abercrombie.

Shane's going it alone. Good stuff. Now whoever loses doesn't have an excuse.

Eric Young! Quality match with everything backfiring against Los Corazones because Young won't stand up to take a punch.

Great main event, though I take back the "no excuses" comment from earlier. It'll be interesting to see how Shane rebounds from this, but the Joe era is something that's been in the making for a while.

Roadkill/Delirious - match of the year right there.

Shannon Moore makes an appearance. All these masked antics aren't exactly going to put Jim Cornette off his scent, and JC could easily use it against him.

Eric Young hits the move that wipes out the entire opposition and helps win the match for them.

Oooh, a non-conclusive ending. That certainly won't end the feud now, Shane's going to have a pretty good excuse there. I've got a plan for him though - since Traci assisted Joe, he should kidnap Traci and give her Stockholm Syndrome. Great match, though the match that actually settles things once and for all has the potential to be better.
