GLWF Action TV: 11/5/05....

americamamushiPosted on 08/09/06 at 00:01:45

Welcome to GLWF Action TV!  We're coming to you live from the GLWF Facilities in Kalamazoo, Michigan for a great night of wrestling action!  Tonight we've got quite the card in store for you including Samoa Joe, a man who has been surrounding in a sea of self created controversy for several weeks now, but before we get down to ringside, lets kick it backstage where we've just been told that Jim Cornette has tracked down Shannon Moore.

As the camera cuts to the back we see Jim Cornette tap Shannon Moore on the shoulder from behind.  Moore gives a childish groan as he sees who it is.  Moore asks Cornette what he's doing here, he told him he had an alibi already.  Cornette says that he did... but that Josh Abercrombie wasn't exactly sure that he and Moore were actually together at the time in question.  Moore can't seem to believe this is happening and tries to explain to Cornette that Abercrombie was just trying to get back at him for making him look bad.  Cornette didn't seem to be buying what Moore was selling though and told Moore that he's back on the suspect list and he's going to watch Shannon Moore like a hawk for any slip ups.  Cornette seems convinced at this point that it was Shannon Moore more than anyone else he may have left on his suspect list.  Moore had better watch his step as to not do anything that might lead Cornette to the wrong conclusion.

Josh Abercrombie vs. Delirious

If there is one word to describe Delirious it could possibly be "Zany" since "WTF" isn't a word.  Delirious started off the match, but doing somersaults around the ring.  Abercrombie didn't seem like he was in a mood to goof around tonight and tried to actually start the match, but Delirious managed to get the best of him early on.  Abercrombie got a few hits in too, but the first few minutes were Delirious on offense.  It wasn't anything that was going to immediately win him the match, but it was solid and it looked like it was wearing on Abercrombie a bit.  Delirious hit a slingshot sunset flip, but Abercrombie rolled out and hit a dropkick to the face of Delirious.  That turned the tables and gave Abercrombie control for the closing minutes of the match.  Abercrombie was on fire and it seemed like he might be able to take this one home.  He nailed a springboard enzuigiri on Delirious and went up to finish things off with the Phoenix Splash, but he spent too much time playing to the crowd once he was perched on the top turnbuckle and Delirious nailed him with a punch to the stomach.  Delirious took Abercrombie off the top rope and hit the Invitro Fertilization for the pin.

Delirious pinned Josh Abercrombie with the Invitro Fertilization in 0:06:24.

Harry Smith comes down to the ring to a large round of boos from the crowd.  He starts by saying that finally... he's living up to the memory of his father.  He says that for too long he's been just waiting for his opportunity at greatness and not creating it.  When he was screwed out of the TV title in his match against Aries he just let himself be whisked away into a 6-man tag match against Los Corazones Negros when he should have demanded that he get a rematch for the title, but he didn't.  He just went with the flow.  Last week however, he didn't go with the flow... he dammed up the river.  Now Harry Smith is going to make the opportunities for Harry Smith.  He's going to insure that he gets whats coming to him and not let anyone stand in his way.  He finishes off by letting Alex Shelley know that he's coming after him and he's not going to stop until he's the GLWF Television champion.

"The Showstopper" H.B. Cade vs. "The French Phenom" Rene Dupree vs. Shannon Moore

Coming into this match Shannon Moore seemed a little on edge thanks to Jim Cornette's search for the man who hit Raven with in the back lot of the GLWF Facilities several weeks ago and the fact that he has put Shannon Moore back on the suspect list thanks to Josh Abercrombie.  The last thing Shannon Moore wants is to attract any attention that he views as negative to his ongoing crusade to get back into GCW.  Things were going alright until Jim Cornette came out with a clipboard and a pen and, just as he said he would, watching Moore like a hawk.  This made Shannon quite uncomfortable and things started going a little south for him in the ring.  In the end Dupree and Moore were in the ring and Cade had just reached in and hooked Moore's arms.  Dupree tried to punch the prone Moore, but Moore ducked and Dupree ended up knocking Cade off the apron and turned around right into a spinning heel kick which was just enough for a three count and a win for Shannon.

Triangle Match:
Shannon Moore defeated Rene Dupree and H.B. Cade when S. Moore pinned R. Dupree after a spinning heel kick in 0:10:58.

Before Samoa Joe's match with Austin Aries he gets a microphone and says that Shane will get Traci back, but just saying he gets a shot at the title sometime isn't enough.  They're going to set a date.  It's going to be 4 weeks from tonight... December 3rd... and it's going to be in a ladder match!  And he adds that if Michael Shane sends anyone down to try and cost him his match tonight with Austin Aries that the deal is off and he'll never see Traci again.

Main Event: Samoa Joe vs. Austin Aries

Austin Aries was coming off a hard fought and unsuccessful try at defending the GLWF Television title last week against Alex Shelley and was not quite competing at 100% this week, but Michael Shane made Aries take this match as a form of punishment and a chance to redeem himself.  Of course, when Shane made Aries take this match he probably also figured he'd be able to send out his cronies to help subdue the big Samoan.  It's been five weeks since we've seen Samoa Joe in action.  And it was that night that Joe was not only once again thwarted in his attempt to capture the Heavyweight title from Michael Shane who has been the monkey on Joe's proverbial back for the better part of a year now, but also the night that Samoa Joe's pot finally boiled over as he brutalized all four members of the Age of Shane and kidnapped Shane's girlfriend Traci Brooks as well.  Aries tried to get out of the starting blocks like a bolt of lightning, attacking hard and attacking quick.  Punches, kicks, clotheslines and Joe was absorbing a whole hell of a lot of it.  It looked like he had Joe reeling and he ran into the ropes hoping that one more clothesline would take the big man down, but Joe named a big Samoan drop!  Joe sat Aries up and hit multiple kicks to the back and chest.  Joe picked Aries up and threw him into the corner so hard that Aries bounced of his feet and landed on his butt, setting him up perfectly for the facewash.  Joe had the crowd going strong and continued to be relentless in his attack.  Joe finished Aries off with a big back suplex and then latched on the Kokina Clutch.

[Main Event]:
Samoa Joe defeated Austin Aries when Austin Aries passed out in the Kokina Clutch in 0:07:14.

After the match was over Michael Shane, Nigel McGuinness and Chris Masters ran down to the ring and attacked Joe.  Joe was doing a good job of fighting the three men off at first, but it wasn't long before they started to overtake Joe.  And out comes Gunner Scott!  Gunner Scott is attacking the Age of Shane.  Samoa Joe and Gunner Scott are fighting them off!  Scott dumps Nigel to the outside with the overhead belly-to-belly suplex!  Joe clotheslines Masters over the top!  Joe tries to go after Shane, but Shane scurries out of the ring before Joe can get his hands on them.  Nigel and Masters want to get back in the ring, but Shane stops them.  The Age of Shane grab Aries and they go to the back with their tail between their legs as Samoa Joe and Gunner Scott celebrate running them off.

What a great night of action tonight and next week should be no different as we'll see Josh Abercrombie take on Ernest Miller, Mr. Kennedy faces Ron Killings, "Bulldozer" Bobby Lashley will face off against Mistico and in the main event it'll be Samoa Joe and Gunner Scott versus Michael Shane and Nigel McGuinness in tag team action!  We'll see you then!

Cornette, you idiot.  You leave the Reject alone!  Hehe.  I like that Abercrombie has found an indirect way to piss Moore off.

Good to see Delirious win.  I thought Shannon Moore was going to get invovled somehow since he knows Abercrombie is just trying to fuck with him, but maybe he was thinking Cornette would take that as a sign of guilt if he attacked his accuser.  Chris, you diabolical...

I like the new attitude of Harry Smith.  I don't even think he's a bad guy; he's just taking matters into his own hands and making his own opportunities.

Despite the distractions, Moore gets the win.  Why do I have a feeling Cornette is going to start bugging Moore's locker room and tapping his phone? :)

Great main event that obviously Joe was going to win.  Also nice to see Shane's depression turn to anger as he is fired up to fight Joe now.  That's going to make the ladder match awesome as in the previous Joe/Shane matches, it seemed like Shane was merely trying to not lose.  This time I legitimately feel he wants to fight Joe.  You've orchestrated this feud beautifully, Chris.

I have to say in general that I really dig on the GLWF. I love practically all of the guys that you use other than Chris Masters. The stories are so simple yet very, very capitvating.

Abercrombie / Moore / Cornette is very interesting, I'd liek to see where it goes. I thought Moore would come out and do something in the match with Abercrombie and Delirious but alas I was wrong. I'm also glad to see Delirious get the win as he is a personal favorite of mine in his short tenure in the GLWF thus far.

Shelley vs. Smith will be a very interesting feud. I have to agree with Ryan, Harry seems to come off more as a guy who wants to live up to the reputation of his father and this is how he is going to start.

Shannon Moore gets the victory and I am happy. I like Cornette coming out and checking him out, this could lead to some very interesting matches. It seemed as if Moore kind of backed into this victory. He is quickly becoming a very interesting character who could go several different ways during this affair.

Samoa Joe is badass and I don't think I can wait four weeks for this ladder match. The tag team match should appease me for a little bit but we'll see. Gunner Scott and Samoa Joe make an interesting duo. I could see them going at it after this problem with Shane is all said and done.

Overall this was a great show and I'm really looking forward to how everything keeps advancing, the pacing over your work is fantastic.

Shannon Moore just can't buy a break I guess. Cornette needs to spread around the suspect list.

At least this has not lead to an Abercrombie push. Especially since Delirious is so awesome. I'd say he could have run over Raven, except I'm sure he's too scatterbrained to drive.

Good promo from Harry Smith. It looks like he's just tired of being the whipping boy.

Shannon Moore gets a surprising win especially considering Cornette was watching him the whole time. Then again, I couldn't really see Dupree or Cade winning either.

4 weeks, huh? It'll be interesting how the stakes get raised in that time. You've done a really good job building this match up.

Good match between Joe and Aries, even though Joe was the obvious winner. The post-match fight was also pretty good, even though I'm not quite sure if Scott would rush to Joe's defense since he's been such a crazy ass recently.

It's so obviously not Shannon Moore but Cornette just won't leave the poor guy.

Delirious probably didn't do it, frankly. What in Gods name is the Invitro Fertilization? Good win though.

Despite everyone elses opinions, I'm not sure I'd necessarily buy the point of view of Harry Smith. At least he won't be any sort of whipping boy now.

Wow, Shannon won. Seemed like he would be on the losing end with all the distractions but oh no. The poor guy needs an alibi, and fast.

Well that was an easy one for Joe, though he was ALWAYS going to win that one. With such a long wait for the title match now and with all the build up that will follow, surely Joe will take this one... right? Even if Shane has been pushed to the point where he legitimately wants to hurt Samoa Joe.

In TNM its listed as similar to a splash mountain and according to wikipedia it's a Yokosuka Cutter.  Then upon further reading, wikipedia's entry on a Yokosuka Cutter says that it can also be done from a reverse crucifix and doesn't give it a different name in the least so I believe it to be a reverse crucifix into a cutter, like Tommy Dreamer's old "Tommyhawk" move.  Though I've never actually seen him do it, so I could be wrong.

Don't worry, I sometimes picture guys finishers differently in my head to the point where I'm basing match endings on how I'm interpreting it whilst potentially making very little sense to everyone else.

Still loving Cornette as master investigator. "Who ran over Raven?" may be one of the better angles in GLWF, at least if you can keep it going for some time, and give us a nice twist in the end, just like the classic murder novels  ;D

Abercrombie got to be the first to fall for Delirious, but hopefully not the last.

Surprised that Age of Shane take the chance of attacking Joe when Traci is still missing. Joe is capable of doing anything, maybe even forcing Traci to do the hula-hula dance!

Lashley vs Mistico next week? Ouch.. David vs. Goliath.
