GLWF Action TV: 10/29/05...

Welcome to GLWF Action TV!  We're coming to you live from the GLWF Facilities in Kalamazoo, Michigan for a great night of wrestling action!  Tonight we've got quite the card in store for you tonight so lets get down to ringside.

Ron Killings & Josh Abercrombie vs. Mr. Kennedy & Delirious

Coming into this match Kennedy was coming off a win over Abercrombie and Ron Killings was coming off a win over Delirious, though not the kind of win he'd have liked.  He won after Delirious blinded him with glitter and got DQed.  Ron Killings got his revenge early on by laying into Delirious hard Kennedy got himself a blind tag and right before Killings hit the Consequence and went for the pinfall.  He couldn't understand why the ref wasn't counting and finally he was blindsided by Kennedy.  Kennedy kept the advantage he had garnered himself and it's a good thing because had things gone south Delirious was too busy running around acting like a buffoon to be tagged back in.  At one point he tried to pants Abercrombie but was unsuccessful.  Abercrombie chased Delirious around the ring and eventually to the back leaving Killings out there all alone with Kennedy.  Kennedy still had control as he came off the top rope with a flying axhandle, but Killings socked him in the gut, doubling him over.  Killings quickly capitalized and hit an ax kick for the win!

Ron Killings and Josh Abercrombie defeated Mr. Kennedy and Delirious when Killings pinned Kennedy after an ax kick in 0:08:07.
Rating: ** 3/4

Killings got his arm lifted by the ref and was once again blindsided by Kennedy.  Kennedy layed in with several punches, but when Killings started fighting back Kennedy ducked out of the fight and headed up the aisle.

We're shown the locker room of the GLWF facilities where Jim Cornette seems to be waiting impatiently.  Josh Abercrombie tries to run by, but Cornette stops him.  He's a little mad because he needed to talk to Abercrombie to corroborate Shannon Moore's story and he doesn't like to be kept waiting.  Abercrombie says he's sorry, but he needs to find that freak Delirious so he can't talk right now.  Cornette takes his not wanting to talk as a sign.  A sign that maybe he has something to hide... like maybe he did it.  Things haven't been going to great for him from the beginning here and GLWF and maybe he wanted to take out his frustrations and try and get himself ahead in the world.  Abercrombie told him that was ridiculous and tells Cornette that he was indeed arguing with Shannon Moore... Abercrombie takes a second to think and then, slowly, a big smile creeps across his face.  He tells Cornette actually... he was arguing with Shannon that night... but he's not so sure about the time... he does know that he can back up his story for the whole night because he was with management when he wasn't with Shannon that night.  It's obvious that he's lying as an attempt to get back at Shannon Moore, but Cornette is buying it hook, line and sinker.  Seems like Shannon Moore is back on the suspect list.

Nigel McGuinness vs. Gunner Scott

This started out as another great example of technical professional wrestling.  They went back and forth and despite that they've wrestled before and wrestled the same type of match before as well, it was still quite entertaining to watch and full of surprises.  Nigel managed to keep his cool during this match too because more often than not when someone came out on top of an exchange it was him.  Gunner had his moments of course, but it seemed like it was Nigel's night tonight.  He propped Scott on the ropes and tried for the Tower of London, but Scott managed to block the attempt.  Nigel changed at him, but Soctt ducked and Nigel bounced off the ropes.  When Nigel came back Scott caught him with a huge T-Bone Suplex!  Scott scurried over, hooked the leg and just barely got the three count.

Gunner Scott pinned Nigel McGuinness after a T-Bone Suplex in 0:12:35.
Rating: *** 1/2

Nigel isn't too happy with his loss, but his tantrum is interrupted by the appearance of Michael Shane who comes down to the ring with Austin Aries and Chris Masters.  Shane seems quite somber this evening.  He tells Samoa Joe simply that he'll give Joe a title shot sometime as long as he returns Traci unharmed.  Shane then motions to Nigel to follow him out as Masters will be staying ringside with Aries during his TV title defense.  This seems to be a much different Michael Shane than we've ever... and I mean ever seen before.

Main Event for the GLWF Television title: Alex Shelley (w/Harry Smith) vs. Austin Aries (w/Chris Masters) (c)

It seemed that tonight Alex Shelley would get a fair shot at the Television title since while Aries had fellow Age of Shane member Chris Masters in his corner, Alex Shelley had brought Harry Smith to the ring with him.  A man who has been screwed out of the TV title once before in a meeting with Aries several weeks ago and a man that also has a history of beef with the man whose corner he is in tonight.  Masters actually didn't interfere in the match at all, though it's doubtful that had anything to do with the presence of Harry Smith across the ring given Master's demeanor.  For the most part Aries didn't need the help.  He was doing fine on his own.  He was wrestling a great match as was Alex Shelley, but it seemed like Aries was holding the edge in his favor.  Towards the end of the match Samoa Joe comes running down to the ring and attacks Chris Masters from behind!  He knocks him into the ring apron hard with a lariat to the back of the head!  Joe heads to the back with a sick smile on his face and Chris Masters in toe!  Aries was just about to hit his 450 Splash and finish off Shelley when he noticed Masters leave ringside.  He couldn't figure out what the hell he was doing.  That gave Shelley time to recover and when he did he slammed Aries from the top rope to the mat to the delight of the fans and caught a quick breather.  Aries managed to recover quickly and the two started exchanging blows!  Aries hit an inverted DDT onto his knee and then popped right back up still holding Shelley and tried to turn it into a reverse neckbreaker in one fluid motion, but Shelley threw him off and his a spinning heel kick!  Both men got up at the same time... Shelley ducks the standing clothesline, kick to the gut, double knee pat... SHELL SHOCK!  Alex Shelley just hit the Shell Shock!  One... two... THREE!  We have a new GLWF Television Champion!!

[Main Event]:
Alex Shelley pinned Austin Aries with the Shell Shock in 0:20:15.
Rating: ****
(Alex Shelley won the GLWF Television title.)

After the match Alex Shelley celebrates in the ring as Harry Smith joins him.  Smith raises Shelley's hand as the ref brings the Television title in the ring to give it to Shelley, but Smith wants to do the honors of awarding Shelley with the belt himself.  But instead of awarding Shelley with the belt he clocks Shelley right in the face with it!  Smith just knocked out the new Television champion with his own belt!  .Smith just stands stoic over Shelley holding the belt at his side staring down at him.  Smith throws the belt onto Alex and leaves.

What a way to end the evening!  Harry Smith turned his back on the man who he was supposed to be helping get a fair match tonight and not only that, but Shane seems to be quite willing to negotiate with Samoa Joe.  Next week should prove to be an exciting week from wrestling action as well.  Josh Abercrombie will be in action against Delirious, Rene Dupree, H.B. Cade and Shannon Moore will square off in triple threat action, and in the main event Samoa Joe will be in action against Austin Aries!  Plus we'll here from Harry Smith regarding his actions tonight against the new Television champion Alex Shelley!  We'll see you next week live once again from Kalamazoo!

No one wants to see anybody as sleazy as Abercrombie pantsed. Bad Delirious. Kennedy is making his way up the roster though and looked strong in the loss.

Poor Cornette. Hercule Poirot he is not.

Gunner Scott seems to be figuring out how to beat the Age of Shane, as he's got a roll going. Can't wait to see how Nigel responds though.

Shane's certainly subdued and the upcoming title shot is presumably Joe's best chance yet.

Shelley picks up the win and the title over Aries in a great match. It's also good to show Joe isn't afraid of any of the AoS people, even if he did attack Masters from behind. I'm not sure if Smith laying out Shelley is because of his new attitude or because he never forgave Shelley, but I'm interested to find out which.

Good card.

Hehe, Delirious is so weird.  A good hot tag opener to kick off the show, and it looks like we have a Killings/Kennedy program, which I have zero problems with.

Abercrombie, you fiend!  I think it's hilarious that to everyone else it's obvious Abercrombie is lying except to the man who was hired to solve the crime.  Wrestling writing rules. :)

Another good match with Scott and Nigel.  Scott needs the wins to stay heated more than Nigel does, so the right man went over.  And once again Shane is a big ol' sad head.  He actually does have a heart... how adorable. :)

A great main event, and we have a brand new TV champion!  A great match, and a great post match angle with Smith turning on Shelley because boom, the next feud over the belt.  What a wicked web you weave, Herr Berry. :)

I've spent the past few minutes reading back the last several GLWF cards so I think I'm up to speed again.

No surprise in Killings winning, you ought to tack a Kennedy introduction (or an exit) everytime because his announcement on the last show when he won was awesome.

Who ran over Raven? It's not Cade or Roadkill by the looks of things, it surely won't be Moore and I don't think it'll be Abercrombie based on this. No idea who it is, but leave us a trail of clues in the meantime wontcha.

Don't know much about Scott or McGuinness so you'll have to bear with me there.

Harry Smith, what a jerk. Still, he had issues with both men so I shouldn't have been too surprised. Plus, of course, it pretty much guarentees that he'll have gotten himself a title shot in the near future.
