corrupt plugins?

loganvesseyPosted on 07/09/05 at 02:53:06

I've been getting an error when trying to install plugins into my TNM.

I download the plugin, unzip it into my NEWPLUGS folder, and upon starting TNM, I get an error that says "plugin 'xxx' (xxx being the name of the plugin) is corrupt. Would you like to remove the plugin? (recommended)."

This has happened with TweakCirc SE, Interview Integrator, and the Circuit Editor. The error message is a paraphrase, as I'm not at my home computer to give the exact error message. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Are you trying to install them on 3b?  If you are try installing a new instance of TNM on your computer and don't update to 3b and see if there is still a problem

This only happens when the .INF-file within the ZIP has been corrupted. What program are you using to unzip the files?

I'm using WinZip to extract the files.

The exact error message is "Plugin information file xxx.INF is corrupt. Shall the whole plugin be deleted <recommended>?"

Could you please send me one of the ZIP files you're trying to extract? I'd like to find out if the ZIP is corrupted during download or during extraction.

Thanks!
