GLWF Action TV: 7/23/05...

americamamushiPosted on 06/04/06 at 19:04:13

Welcome to GLWF Action TV!  We're coming to you from our GLWF facilities in Kalamazoo, Michigan for what is sure to be an action packed night.  Now, without further ado, lets kick it down to our ring announcer, the lovely Clara Michaels!

Before Clara Michaels can get the introductions for the opening match started out comes Shane, Traci, Burchill and Aries, better known as the Age of Shane.  Michael Shane takes the microphone away from Clara and gives her a coy look which Traci Brooks takes offense to and shoots Clara daggers with her eyes.  Michael Shane talks about how the Age of Shane really runs the show here in GLWF.  Some may not want to admit it, but they do control GLWF's two singles titles.  Shane says how this is a great asset for them and that they need to "protect their assets."  Protect them in whatever manner they need to be protected.  He tells Samoa Joe that Peter Rabbit would be wise to stay out of Mr. McGregor's garden if he gets his drift.  With that Shane hands the mic back to Clara, giving her another look which Traci once again doesn't seem to appreciate, and motions for the Age of Shane to take their leave.

"The Anarchist" Doug Williams vs. "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson

The tale of former GCW superstar Doug Williams and GLWF star Bryan Danielson has been a storied one.  They've been at eachother's throats for a while now and it seems to be an undying fire.  Right now they sit at 4 singles wins for Danielson and only 2 for Williams, who will claim time and time again that he has gotten the better of Danielson in the series, mainly due to his claim that Danielson's wins have been based on luck.  Things got taken up to another level when Williams cost Danielson the GLWF Television title, and then last week when Williams came out to explain his actions (like any explanation was needed) Danielson attacked the Anarchist by surprise.  Tonight's match was a brawl.  Pure and single.  Williams met Danielson halfway up the entrance and the two started trading blows.  They eventually made it into the ring and the match was officially started.  Neither man got any sort of a real edge.  It literally looked like a soccer riot that consisted of just two people.  It didn't take long at all for the match to spill back outside of the ring, this time it stayed there and the two were counted out by the referee.  They didn't care though.  They continued to brawl through the crowd and eventually made their way over to the entrance and through to the back.

Doug Williams and Bryan Danielson battled to a double countout in 0:04:00.

Shannon Moore vs. "The French Phenom" Rene Dupree

Shannon Moore entered GLWF on fire, but the flame has died down a bit since then with three consecutive losses, first to fellow GCW alum Doug Williams, then to Austin Aries in the GLWF Television title tournament, and finally to "Savage" Sonny Siaki.  After taking a week off to regroup Moore is hoping to once again work on his campaign to get back into GCW.  He still has his petition going on his website and you could tell he was all business against Dupree.  Moore started off strong and stayed there.  He came at Dupree from all angles and after Dupree's match last week where he and Miller lost the Great Lakes Tag Team titles to the Destruction Crew he wasn't in quite the best shape to properly defend himself.  He stayed in there for quite a bit though, kicking out of quite a few pin attempts, but once Moore finally hit the Mooregasm it was all over.

Shannon Moore pinned Rene Dupree with the Mooregasm in 0:08:08.

Shocker's new music plays and out he comes, along with his cohorts from last week.  He says that now it's time to give a proper introduction to his partners in crime: Mistico and Hector Garza.  Together the three of them are Los Corazones Negros!  Shocker and Garza tell the fans that the lucha libre revolution is coming and the first targets on their list are going to be the Destruction Crew and the Great Lakes Tag Team titles.  Mistico adds his two cents in as well at the very end, only in Spanish.  No translation is provided from either of his compatriots.

"The Cat" Ernest Miller vs. "The Showstopper" H.B. Cade

Miller seemed to be in slightly better shape in his match with Cade than Dupree did in his match moments ago with Moore... of course that could be due to the fact that after a few minutes Raven came out with a chair and took a seat ringside, which caused a bit of a distraction for Cade, who we all know has had his issues with Raven in the past.   This allowed Miller a little more leeway for rest and catching Cade off guard with his already unusual style.  Cade still seemed mostly to be in control of the match, just unable to turn his attention away from Raven long enough to finish it when he needed to.  Eventually Raven got up and positioned himself on the apron, Cade ran over and tried to nail him, but Raven got down in time.  Cade started yelling at Raven, the most he'd allowed himself to get distracted the entire match, and it cost him.  Miller hit a legsweep, and rolled Cade up, using the second rope for leverage to steal the win.

Ernest Miller pinned H.B. Cade after a legsweep in 0:12:27.

Main Event for the Great Lakes Heavyweight title: Samoa Joe vs. "The Essence of Excellence" Michael Shane (c) w/ Traci Brooks

On paper, Samoa Joe seems like the last person that should be getting another shot at the Great Lakes Heavyweight title.  He hasn't had one singles win over Michael Shane.  In his defense, however, Michael Shane has always had to blatantly cheat to keep the title around his waist.  Tonight Shane was pretty vocal about "protecting his assets" but it's not like Samoa Joe wouldn't have known what he was in for anyway.  Joe and Shane wrestled a hard match.  Shane had to wrestle a bit harder as usual, due to giving up so much power to Joe, but barely managed to stay in there after some hard shots and bone rattling slams.  At one point on the outside, Traci managed to pull Shane out of the way of a top con hilo from Joe.  Shane set Joe up on a table and hit the Picture Perfect Elbow from the top-rope to the outside through the table in a move that ended up taking a lot out of both men.  In the end Joe crotched Shane on the tope rope and hit a big muscle buster.  Just when he was about to lock in the Kokina Clutch in what would've been certain victory Traci got up on the apron, catching the attention of the ref and of Samoa Joe who went over to force her to the floor.  The ref kept him from shoving her off, but while the three argued out came Burchil with a chair!  Joe turned around and walked right into a vicious chair shot from Burchill!  Burchill draped Shane across an already bleeding Joe and left the ring with haste as Traci turned the ref's attention back to the match.  The ref counted the three and once again, Shane had someone there to cover his ass... I mean assets.

Michael Shane pinned Samoa Joe after outside interference in 0:25:21.

(Michael Shane retained the Great Lakes Heavyweight title.)
[Traci Brooks and Paul Burchill interfered against Samoa Joe.]

Michael Shane was still out like a light.  Traci managed to pull him from the ring as Paul Burchill entered with the chair he clocked Joe with once already and it looked like he was going to assault him again to try and eliminate this particular threat to his boss Michael Shane.  He only got a few blows in on Joe's knees when out from the back comes Roadkill!  The Angry Amish Chicken Plucker is here to save the day!  Burchill sees him coming and gets ready for him.  Roadkill slides into the ring and ducks a chair shot!  The chair bounces off the top rope and out of Burchill's hands.  He turns around... DIRT ROAD SLAM!  Burchill managed to roll out of the ring quickly after that to avoid any further abuse, though you could tell he was hurting.  Here comes Television Champion Austin Aries!  He tries for a flying crossbody block but Roadkill catches him and dumps him over the top rope onto Burchill!  The Age of Shane retreats to the back after that, with Burchill literally having to carry Shane who is still unable to walk after the beating he received from Joe.

Here's what you can expect next week on GLWF Action TV!  We'll see a 6-man tag match with Los Corazones Negros taking on Ron "The Truth" Killings, Josh Abercrombie, and Shannon Moore, "Bulldog" Harry Smith will take on "Savage" Siaki, and in the main event "The Angry Amish Chicken Plucker" Roadkill will face Paul Burchill!  We'll see you then!

Ha ha... any interview that has a Peter Rabbit reference can't possibly be bad. :)

Man, Williams and Danielson took it up a notch this week.  They are going to need some sort of big blow off match to settle this once and for all.

Good win for Shannon Moore, who needed it, and it looks like Dupree and Miller's fun time on the top is now over.  Poor guys.  They so crazy.

Crazy Mexicans.

Nevermind, as the Cat wins!  Huzzah!  Miller/Dupree is such a cool ass team.  They going straight to the top again!

Another high quality match between Shane and Joe, but once again, Joe gets fucked and can't take the title.  He has to be getting frustrated that he can't seem to find a way to beat Shane for the title.  Having Roadkill on his side though could certainly help.

Good stuff as usual my friend.
