GLWF Action TV: 7/16/05...

americamamushiPosted on 05/20/06 at 01:24:05

Welcome once again to GLWF Action TV!  Tonight we're coming to you live from our home turf, the GLWF Arena in Kalamazoo, Michigan!  Lets get down to the ring where Doug Williams has already made his entrance and apparently has something to get off his chest.

Doug Williams is standing in the ring in his street clothes.  He obviously didn't come here tonight to wrestle.  He tries to wait for the boos to die down, but they don't appear to be going away on their own anytime soon so he starts talking anyway.  Williams starts off by stating clearly that he doesn't care what the fans think.  They can boo all they want and it's not going to bother him one bit.  He's proud of what he did and by god, he'd do it again.  Danielson didn't deserve to be in that fatal four way, it should've been Williams.  The Williams-Danielson series has been nothing but a series of lucky wins for the American Dragon, pure and simple.  Screwing Danielson out of the title is the best thing he's done while down here in "the minor leagues" as he puts it.  And now he says Danielson is sitting at home crying his little eyes out still about losing to Austin Aries and not getting the gold, boohoo.  Which was true, Danielson wasn't expected to be in the arena tonight, but as Williams continued to mock the thought to be absent AmDrag, out runs Danielson from the crowd and slides into the ring behind Williams, who promptly turns around and into a barrage of punches.  Danielson lays a beating on Williams, but the Anarchist manages to slip away before he really gets whats coming to him.  He doesn't look pleased at all that Danielson decided to show up tonight and caught him by surprise.

"The Angry Amish Chicken Plucker" Roadkill vs. Paul Birchill

This match started out surprisingly even.  Burchill wasn't going to be able to mow right over Roadkill like he is able to do with so many of his opponents here in GLWF.  While both men were getting their shots in, it seemed like Burchill was getting in the more damaging of the moves, but Roadkill kept trucking along.  Roadkill's odd obsession with chickens might have cost him an upset win after he nailed the Dirt Road Slam, but instead of following it with a pin he walked around muttered something about chickens.  Later on, shortly after dodging an attempt by Burchill at a suicide dive, Roadkill powerbombed him and went up top, hitting the Amish Splash but only got two.  Burchill then quickly got his bearings back, countering an attempt at the Dirt Road Slam right after the kick out and hit an uranage.  Burchill signaled that Roadkill was about to become just that, roadkill, hit a kick to the midsection and followed it with a Burning Hammer that would have made Kenta Kobashi proud.

Paul Burchill pinned Roadkill after a Burning Hammer in 0:07:17.

"Savage" Sonny Siaki vs. Josh Abercrombie

Sonny Siaki seems to be losing more and more of his mind every week.  Every time he comes to the ring now he seems more and more like... well... like his new nickname implies, "a savage."  He appears to have stopped bathing, talking in anything more than grunts and yells, and brings a whole new meaning to the term "bad hair day."  Abercrombie didn't seem quite sure how to start this match out so Siaki started it for him, with a quick and early mauling almost, bringing them both to the outside in the process.  Siaki tore Abercrombie apart on the outside, not letting himself get distracted from the violence for a single second.  By the time things ended up back in the ring Abercrombie was in bad shape, but you'd probably be pretty hard pressed to find a wrestler that wouldn't have been after that assault.  Abercrombie was bleeding and almost seemed out on his feet, but still had mind enough to counter a backspin DDT with a northern lights suplex and a few punches before making the mistake of trying to go high risk twice in a row.  The springboard enzuigiri worked, the attempt at a springboard rana did not.  Siaki caught hiim, powerbombed him once, held on, picked him back up and hit another powerbomb, this time with the inclusion of the sitout for the three.

Sonny Siaki pinned Josh Abercrombie after a sitout power bomb in 0:04:10.

Austin Aries makes his way out to the ring, surprisingly by himself.  He exudes pride regarding the hunk of gold on his shoulder.  He starts by talking about how great it was to win last week and become the first ever GLWF Television Champion.  The way he talks makes it sound like he did it all by himself, regardless of the obvious part Doug Williams played in the ending of the match.  Aries then moves on to his leader, Michael Shane, claiming that without Shane putting him on the right track, this never would've happened.  He says this is the dawning of a new era in the Age of Shane.  One of further dominance over the GLWF.  They control the singles division and with muscle like Burchill behind them that is where the gold is going to stay.  He goes onto announce that next week Samoa Joe will once more get a chance at the Heavyweight title that he doesn't deserve, stating that it's just going to end the same so Joe should just go back to his poo poo platter and give up.  He finishes by once again singing the praises of Shane and the stable in general, then, as if he hears boos as cheers, he thanks the fans for their loyal support.

Raven vs. "The Showstopper" H.B. Cade vs. Ron "The Truth" Killings

Cade and Raven seem to still have a lot of heat between them as they went at eachother like a couple of wild dogs, almost completely ignoring the fact that Killings was in the ring.  Killings let them have at it for a little while before interjecting himself forcefully into the match.  Cade and Raven stayed preoccupied with eachother for most of the match, with little attention being paid to the Truth until he made his presence known.  Towards the end Raven planted Cade with the Raven Effect on the outside.  Killings jumped onto Raven with a Thesz Press from the apron and after a few punches tossed Raven into the ring where the two brawled for a little bit, before Raven got the upperhand, hit the kick to the midsection and went for the Raven Effect.  Lucky for Killings, he had mind enough to push Raven away before he could get the move off.  Raven bounced off the ropes behind him and got a boot to the gut of his own, followed by Killings hitting an ax kick for three.  After the match Killings celebrated his win and Cade began to stir on the outside, still dazed from the Raven Effect on the concrete.  Raven tangled Killings' arms in the ropes and retrieved a chair form ringside.  He taunted Killings a little bit as Cade went to walk to the back, knowing what was about to happen, but not wanting to deal with it.  He kept looking back though and as Raven brought the chair up above his head Cade had a sudden change of heart, darting into the ring.  Hey yelled something to Raven, causing him to turn around... and superkicks the chair into Raven's face!  He untangles Killings from the ropes and the two shake hands!  It looks like Cade has turned over a new leaf.

Ron Killings defeated Raven and H.B. Cade when Killings pinned Raven after an ax kick in 0:12:59.

Main Event for the Great Lakes Tag Team titles: The Destruction Crew (Bobby "The Bulldozer" Lashley & Tank Toland) vs. "The French Phenom" Rene Dupree & Ernest "The Cat" Miller (c)

Lashley & Toland have worked as a well oiled machine since they came to GLWF, but tonight was like they took it to a whole nother level.  Like they knew that for whatever reason, they were going to need to step up their game to get their titles back because Dupree and Miller had some secret power over them or something.  Like their dance moves were kryptonite.  Dupree and Miller looked about as good as they ever had too, but that's not to say it was a pretty match.  It was nothing flashy, like neither team wanted to get too far from the basics, lest they cross the line into "Too Far Land," get carried away and lose control at a crucial moment.  Control seemed at about 60%-40% during the match with the edge going to the Destruction Crew.  They were just on tonight.  When Tank gave the signal Lashley jumped in the ring like a bolt of lightning, body checking Miller off the apron to the floor and boy did Miller seem to hit the concrete hard.  Then Dupree tried to hit Lashley with a dropkick, but Lahsley swatted him away and jumped on Dupree just as quickly as he'd jumped in the ring, picking him up in a reverse powerbomb while Tank popped up top, flying off and hitting the Flying Bulldog as Lashley slammed Dupree down!  It's the Desolation!  Tank pins!  It's over!  The Destruction Crew have won back the titles!

[Main Event]:
The Destruction Crew (Bobby Lashley and Tank Toland) defeatedRene Dupree and Ernest Miller when Tank pinned R. Dupree after the Desolation in 0:21:38.

(The Destruction Crew won the Great Lakes Tag Team titles.)

The Destruction Crew are celebrating in the ring with their newly re-won titles.  Whats this... Shocker has emerged from the back... with 2 cohorts running in behind him!  That's Hector Garza and Mistico!  The three slide into the ring and imidiately attack the Destruction Crew!  After wrestling that match the Destruction Crew is in no shape whatsoever to even attempt to take on three men at once.  Shocker, Mistico and Garza aren't being forgiving either, they are trying to mame the tag team champions!  After quite a sufficient beating, one that went much further than it needed to, the three men raise their arms in victory and the three hold up the two tag team championship belts.  Just before Actio TV fades out Shocker grabs a mic and yells "Vivo Los Corazones Negros"

Wow, what a way to end the night!  Here's what next week is looking like here on Action TV!  We'll hear from Great Lakes Heavyweight Champion Michael Shane as well as Shocker, Hector Garza and Mistico.  Danielson and Williams will square off once again in a rivalry that just won't seem to die, Rene Dupree will face Shannon Moore in singles action, Miller faces H.B. Cade, and Michael Shane defends his Great Lakes Heavyweight titles once again against Samoa Joe!

Williams and Danielson have to have one more match in them, because their matches have ruled.

Burchill wins!  I was hoping Roadkill was going to pluck him and pluck him good, but a fun match, and nice to see Burchill get a win again.

Siaki is a beast!  Abercrombie stood no chance, and rightfully so.  Siaki is gearing up for big things, sure enough.

Hehe.  Aries is a dick.

Face H.B. Cade!  Permanent team for him and Killings, or just being a nice guy?

Two-time tag team champions!  I'm surprised it took them this long to get them back.  Hehe.  Hector Garza and Mistico!  A lucha stable, oh my!
