GLWF has finally returned!  No my computer is not fixed yet, but in the interest of getting on with things Ryan is just going to sim my cards for me.  Hopefully I can get my computer fixed soon since I not only miss being able to sim my own cards, I miss being able to do anything on it besides talk on AIM and check my mail.  :)

Welcome once again to GLWF Action TV!  We're here at the GLWF facilities in Kalamazoo, Michigan for what should be a great night of action.  And even though it's only been a week I'm sure for the GLWF fans it has seemed like forever since their last taste of GLWF action, so lets take it to the ring for our opening bout!

Josh Abercrombie vs. "Textbook" Tyson Dux

Abercrombie and Dux started off by shaking hands and locking up.  They worked at a fast pace and had a lot of nice spots in their match.  A lot of giving and taking with no one really seeming to have the edge.  Abercrombie missed a moonsault, but landed on his feet, thats when Dux got the edge though as he swept Abercrombie before he could react after landing.  Dux slapped on the Texas Cloverleaf, but Abercrombie wouldn't give up and eventually made his way to the ropes.  Dux then picked Abercrombie up.  Ambercrombie hit a few punches to get Dux reeling and tried to whip him into the ropes, but Dux reversed it.  Dux jumped to the apron and hit a beautiful and rock hard springboard dropkick that almost turned Abercrombie inside out on his way back, allowing Dux to get the pin.  After the match Dux helped Abercrombie to his feet and the two shook hands.

Tyson Dux pinned Josh Abercrombie after a springboard dropkick in 0:05:08.

Raven vs. H.B. Cade

Raven seemed a lot more willing to wrestle Cade yet again that one might have expected, and wrestle Cade he did.  The two men wrestled a good clean match, which Raven kept the upperhand throughout.  Cade had pockets of good solid offense, but couldn't seem to hold onto it.  Cade did however keep mind enough to get out of three attempts at the Raven Effect.  Cade always stayed in there, but just couldn't find that extra something he needed to keep the tides turned in his favor.  Cade managed to get another pocket of offense and this time decided to go for the Superkick while Raven was in the corner.  Raven ducked and after recovering for a second ran into the corner now occupied by Cade.  Cade moved out of the way and Raven hit the turnbuckle chest first.  He stumbled straight backwards, which set him up for a Superkick that hit dead on and gets H.B. Cade the win.

H.B. Cade pinned Raven after the superkick in 0:11:40.

Ring announcer Clara Michaels is in the ring.  She says before the next match begins she has a big announcement to make on behalf of the GLWF booking committee.  In the coming weeks the GLWF will be introducing a second singles title... the GLWF Television title!

#1 Contender Match: "Bulldog" Harry Smith & "1000% Guapo" Shocker vs. "The Car' Ernest Miller & "The French Phenom" Rene Dupree

Harry Smith and Shocker meshed better as a tag team than one may have outwardly assumed, but it was still no where near as crisp and pretty as Miller & Dupree have become since the inception of the GLWF.  Even with their dancing and showboating they are still fast becoming one of the best tandems on the indy circuit.  Miller & Dupree have a ways to go as it seems their cocky attitudes in the ring seem to cost them when they need it the most, but more and more often they put on a heck of a show in the process.  Miller and Shocker tried to get eachother off balance with their unorthodox styles, Dupree and Smith tried to out power eachother.  It was a good battle, but in the end Miller & Dupree just worked too well as not just a team, but as a dirty heel team and picked up the win after Miller took out Shocker with the Feliner.

Ernest Miller and Rene Dupree defeated Harry Smith and Shocker when E. Miller pinned Shocker with the Feliner in 0:08:12.

Austin Aries vs. Samoa Joe

There wasn't much to this match.  Aries thought he'd be slick and attack Joe face to face full bore, but Joe stood his ground like a Maoi at Easter Island.  Joe stood stoic until Aries' third attempt at a clothesline out of the ropes, thats when he leveled Aries and almost put a whole in the mat with a devastating STK.  Aries was probably done after that... it's surprising his head didn't look like a watermelon at a Gallager show after that.  Joe threw Aries around a little more hitting some nice hard power moves with ease until finally locking on the Kokina Klutch.  Aries had just enough left in him to tap out right after Joe locked it on.

Samoa Joe made Austin Aries submit to the Kokina Clutch in 0:03:21.

After the match Samoa Joe grabs a microphone.  He says that he wants a piece of Shane right now.  He wants that Heavyweight title that should have been his a long time ago.  Shane appears at the entrance and stop Joe midsentance, which doesn't do much to better the situation.  Shane says that Joe may want Shane, but he can't have Shane.  The #1 Contender is Ron Killings, who he'll dispose of next week.  Maybe if Joe is lucky, someday in the distant future he'll get another title shot, but it wouldn't matter because as long as Michael Shane is in the GLWF, the Heavyweight title will be around his waist and his waist only.  But Shane says he knows Joe and that at the moment he wouldn't put it past Joe just to screw him over to get the belt away from him.  That's why he's arranged for two special surprises for next week.  The first of which will be that he'll be facing Ron Killings in a steel cage to keep Joe out, but also, just as added insurance, Samoa Joe will be facing none other than Age of Shane member Burchill!

Fan Appreciation Match: "The Anarchist" Doug Williams vs. "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson

Doug Williams has been very vocal all week about not wanting to face Bryan Danielson again, but the fans have spoken and in this special Fan Appreciation match they are going to get what they want.  Williams wanted to get things over with quickly, trying to get a pin no matter how obvious it seemed to everyone else that Danielson was going to kick.  Danielson was ready to play Williams' game though and just waited for Williams to make his moves and then tried to counter with his own.  Once he got on a roll he started throwing out his own stuff and nixed the waiting.  Both men wrestled their hearts out as Williams really stepped it up a notch when Danielson came alive and things started to slip away from his fingers.  Williams tried for the Revolution DDT, which turned out to be a mistake as Danielson landed Williams on his feet and surprisingly turned it into a Small Package, holding on to it for three!

[Fan Appreciation Match]
Bryan Danielson pinned Doug Williams after a small package in 0:12:09.
Rating: **** 1/4

Williams couldn't believe it.  He just sat in the ring with his jaw open in astonishment while Danielson celebrated with the crowd.

Thats all for this week, join us next week when we'll bring you the first match in the tournament to crown the first GLWF Television Champion which will feature Sonny Siaki taking on Harry Smith.  Also, two big matches as Samoa Joe takes on Burchill and Michael Shane defends his Great Lakes Heavyweight title against Ron Killings in a steel cage!

Good win for Dux over Abercrombie.  Too bad Dux wasn't impressive enough to keep his deal. :)

Surprised to see Cade beat Raven in all honesty.  Not that I mind it... I enjoy H.B. Cade, but still. :)  He's one of my early picks for the TV Title.

Miller and Dupree really do make a sweet team.  When you first started, they just seemed thrown together, but you've developed them into a team I could see scheming their way into the tag titles.

Wow... Michael Shane does have a lot of power.  Pumped about next week though... Joe vs. Burchill AND a steel cage Heavyweight Title match?  Not much surprise of a surprise that Joe killed Aries though.

Great main event... the Williams/Danielson series has been wonderful.  That'll be one of the downfalls of when Williams is called back up.

Next week is going to rule.  My predicts are Smith, Joe, and Shane retains.
