Match #1
Matt Hardy (w/ Lita) vs. Teddy Hart (w/ Dawn Marie)
On Explosion, Matt Hardy accepted his brother's challenge to a match at Mayhem. Tonight on High Voltage, Hardy took on a man who wrestles a similar style to Jeff Hardy in Teddy Hart. Matt knows his brother very well and as a result was able to adapt to Hart's style very well. Dawn Marie tried to interfere for her man once early on, but when Lita got in her face, Marie quickly backed down and hardly made a peep for the rest of the match, a match that Hardy put away with the Twist of Fate.

Matt Hardy pinned Teddy Hart with the Twist Of Fate in 0:04:49.
Rating: *** 3/4

Matt Hardy picks up a victory as he goes into Mayhem. Matt's not showing it outwardly much, but it's definitely weighing on his mind that he will be facing his own brother in two weeks time. Will Matt be able to focus enough to put the past aside and try to win the match?

Match #2
"Primetime" Elix Skipper vs. Doug Basham (w/ Shaniqua)
Elix Skipper has been on quite the losing streak ever since he and partner Low-Ki lost their last chance title shot against the World's Greatest Tag Team. Skipper hasn't had much luck in singles either, but against another tag wrestler, Doug Basham, he hoped to turn that around. Skipper looked calmer than he has in recent weeks, but when his big moves weren't garnering him a victory, he became exceedingly frustrated. When you get frustrated, you are more prone to making mistakes, and Doug Basham capitalized on those mistakes by catching Primetime with the Jumping Tombstone Piledriver and getting the win.

Doug Basham pinned Elix Skipper with the Jumping Tombstone Piledriver in 0:04:57.
Rating: *** 1/4

Match #3
Shark Boy vs. Jeff Hardy (w/ Daffney)
We saw Matt Hardy in action earlier, but Jeff Hardy would be just as impressive as his brother was as he took on Shark Boy. CM Punk has helped Jeff Hardy unleash a bit of ruthlessness we haven't seen much in the past, and the boy from under the sea was the victim of the onslaught. Shark Boy's cult following aside, it was just a matter of time before Jeff Hardy put him down and out.

Jeff Hardy pinned Shark Boy with the Swanton Bomb in 0:03:31.
Rating: *** 1/2

Match #4
MAIN EVENT
Low-Ki vs. John Bradshaw Layfield (w/ Lamont)
On paper, you'd never think that Low-Ki and John Bradshaw Layfield would have similar styles. Ki is a martial artist and JBL is essentially a bar fighter. But the one major similarity that these two have is that they are considered by many to be the stiffest and the hardest hitting wrestlers in all of GCW. JBL uses his fists while Low-Ki has some vicious kicks in his arsenal. Low-Ki's strategy was to use those kicks to weaken the much larger JBL's legs, but the self-proclaimed "Wrestling God" has been around this business for a long time and had Ki well scouted. Low-Ki is relatively new to wrestling (when compared to JBL anyway) but he adjusted well and found ways to keep JBL off his feet. His speed also made it difficult for JBL to use much of his offense because he couldn't get his hands on him. However, when you pack a punch like JBL, it only takes one, and JBL hit his big one when the Stock Market Crash found the mark. Good morning, good afternoon, good night.

John Bradshaw Layfield pinned Low-Ki with the Stock Market Crash in 0:12:00.
Rating: *** 1/4

A great hard fought match to end our broadcast.

ha, Lita got all up in Dawn's grill.  With a nice victory over Teddy he may have a little weight on him about his match with Jeff, but at least he's got some momentum to back him up

Hurrah for Basham wins.  Me likey Basham.

Poor Shark Boy.  Jeff got a win tonight too, but Shark Boy is hardly the opponent that Hart is.  I mean neither is the next Great Muta, but still.

I knew Ki was going down, but it's impressive he stuck around as long as he did.  JBL needs to start taking people out harder and quicker if he's ever going to be a threat to the world title.
