Match #1
Abyss vs. "The Italian Stallion" Chuck Palumbo
Though the fans are all happy to see Abyss finally out on his own and away from Shaniqua, John Bradshaw Layfield, and the Cabinet, we have to admit that he looked a bit lost out there tonight against Chuck Palumbo. Though the outcome of this one was never really in doubt, Abyss had a tougher time putting Palumbo away than perhaps he should have. Abyss did win with the Black Hole Slam and got a nice pop in doing so, but he might not be ready to survive on his own quite yet.

Abyss pinned Chuck Palumbo with the Black Hole Slam in 0:06:21.
Rating: *** 3/4

Match #2
Shark Boy vs. Kid Kash (DEBUT!!!)
Next we saw the debut of a new wrestler to the cruiserweight division, Kid Kash, taking on cult hero Shark Boy. Shark Boy was having fun early on with his usual antics, trying to throw Kash off his game. Kash however showed right away that he's coming into GCW with a bad attitude, absolutely obliterating Shark Boy from then on. Not too long after Kash hit the Money Maker (double underhook piledriver) and made his debut a successful one.

Kid Kash pinned Shark Boy with the Money Maker in 0:06:06.
Rating: *** 1/2

Match #3
MAIN EVENT
Matt Morgan/Rob Conway vs. Team Canada (w/ Dawn Marie)
Though Matt Morgan and Rob Conway are a new team, they have shown some flashes of brilliance. They had a chance to get a victory over an experienced team as they took on Dawn Marie's Team Canada. Morgan and Conway showed great improvement again, working better at cutting off the ring and making tags at the appropriate times. Teddy Hart and Petey Williams are crafty though, and they were wisely working over Morgan's legs to try to neutralize him. However, the former bodyguard has too much pure power and he fought back and made a tag to Conway, who cleaned house and put Williams away with the Ego Trip, finishing off this High Voltage with a great win.

Matt Morgan and Rob Conway defeated Team Canada (Teddy Hart and Petey Williams when Conway pinned P. Williams with the Ego Trip in 0:08:55.

It's hard to think of Abyss being in trouble as much of a monster that he is, but the idea of him being lost is a good fit for the character and angle and if you wanted to take it places there are some good possibilities.

And Shark Boy has the shortest winning streak ever... one.  Poor lil booger.  Good to see Kid Kash in the mix though.  I was just thinking about him earlier.  I will predict he's gonna go places fast.

Hurrah!  Conway & Morgan!  Team Canada is nothing to snuff at either, though they did give up a good bit of size.  I like seeing Conway winning.  More Conway winning Ryan. :)
