[GCW] High Voltage - 5/16/04

Match #1
Shannon "All That And" Moore vs. Christopher Nowinski

Christopher Nowinski showed that he has a mighty meanstreak tonight in the opening match of High Voltage.  I didn't know he had it in him.  Shannon Moore tried valiantly early on to use his speed against Nowinski, but the Harvard graduate had a fire lit under him tonight, pinning Moore easily after choking him out with a boot choke.  It truly was a malicious attack.

Christopher Nowinski pinned Shannon Moore after a boot choke in 0:11:33.
Rating: ** 1/4

Match #2
Diamond Dallas Page (w/ Kimberly) vs. Sean O'Haire

You might not like Hardcore Holly's blunt way of saying it, but truth be told, Diamond Dallas Page hasn't had the success I'm sure he was expecting when he returned to professional wrestling here in GCW.  He was trying to remedy that tonight by taking on Sean O'Haire.  Not a dominating performance by any means, but DDP was able to catch O'Haire with a small package and pick up his first victory since returning to wrestling.  Maybe he can gain a little momentum now as he goes on to face Hardcore Holly at Mayhem.

Diamond Dallas Page pinned Sean O'Haire after a small package in 0:12:43.
Rating: **

Match #3
MAIN EVENT
Cruiserweight Title Match
Low-Ki (c) (w/ Daffney) vs. Shark Boy

Our High Voltage main event was a good one as Low-Ki defended the Cruiserweight Title against Shark Boy.  Shark Boy has a load of talent, but he hasn't been able to focus it properly just yet.  That continued as Low-Ki successfully defended his title with the Ki Krusher.

Low-Ki pinned Shark Boy with the Ki Crusher in 0:08:09.
Rating: *** 1/2
(Low-Ki retained the GCW Cruiserweight Title.)

You need to give Low-Ki some more time on Explosion.

Poor O'Haire. No love.

Anyways, I'd give Low-Ki some more defenses. Maybe I've missed some, but besides seeing him defend the title here I can't remember the time before this.

I know I need to use Low-Ki more... it's just hard to fit everyone on TV. :(
