Multiple Installs of TNM 7

Sky_BluePosted on 04/13/09 at 15:26:21

Hello,

Is it possible to do multiple installs of TNM7 under different directories?

I'm concerned that they may conflict each other, so any comments welcome.

What I am aiming to do is have one version of TNM7 on my computer with 'made up' wrestlers in the database, and the other with 'real wrestlers'.

Thanks.

Rob.

It's perfectly ok to have multiple installs of TNM on your computer.  As long as they're not opened and running at the exact same time (which won't interfere with either program running, but I believe technically is a legal "no-no")

Thanks for your answer.  That's good to know.

Just do backups with the backup feature. I do that a lot when I'm running various promotions, and fantasy and real wrestler based promotions. What I do is once I install TNM, and insert my codes I do a "factory" backup, which has no wrestlers, tag teams, managers, added moves, etc., Then I add bunch of wrestlers, gimmick matches, weapons, teams, stables, dives, moves, etc. I make a backup of that. I then export the wrestlers to a file, delete them all, as well as the tag teams, stables, and managers, and make another empty backup but with the added moves, matches, weapons, and dives.

Plus I find it takes up considerably less HD space than multiple installs would

Maybe my mind is just wandering today, but I'm not exactly following the point of doing that especially in relation to his question.

Also, I don't know about you, but for me personally, two roughly 7mb installs of TNM aren't exactly a problem on my roughly 57gb hard drive.

Yep, this works fine; I've been doing this since TNM7 came out.
