ECW Hardcore TV
Date: July 18, 2006
Location: Philadelphia, PA

Interview:
[Earlier today, Al Snow is backstage with Head. He seems to be having a conversation with himself or Head rather.]

Al Snow: Don't say that! I'm telling you if Rhino heard what you were saying he'd kick your ass or mine.

[As luck would have it, Rhino walked by. Rhino looks at the Head mannequin and then back at Al Snow.]

Rhino: Al, nice to see you again after all these years. I hope you don't think I'm nosey but I couldn't help but hear you talking about me. Is there a problem?

Al Snow: Oh, no! Of course not, Rhino. Welcome back to ECW!

Rhino: That's what I thought.

[Rhino goes to walk away but Al tells Head to shut up and not to say that. Rhino walks back and looks at Al Snow and then at the Head mannequin.]

Rhino: It sounds like you're having an intense conversation with Head there. I want to know what...it is saying about me.

Al Snow: Oh it's nothing. Really, don't worry.

[Rhino grabs him and pushes him against the wall.]

Rhino: Tell me now!

Al Snow: Ok, ok. But I have to preface this by telling you it's Head's opinion, not mine! It said that if you were as a good a wrestler as you are at throwing around flower pots at hotels, you'd be a World Champion.

[Rhino starts laughing and Al Snow starts to slowly and awkwardly laugh along. Rhino loosens his grip on Al Snow and lets him go. However, Rhino's mood changes quickly as he threw the Head mannequin doll across the room.]

Rhino: You think you're funny, don't you? Tonight, we'll see how funny I am in the ring.

[Al Snow looks back at Rhino walking away from him with a worried look on his face.]

Rhino pinned Al Snow with the Gore in 0:03:59.
Rating: ** 3/4

Al Snow entered this match as the clear underdog against Rhino, especially after what happened between these two earlier in the day. Rhino was determined to come out of this match victorious in his first match since returning to Extreme Championship Wrestling. Al Snow attempted a Snow Plow but Rhino slipped out of it and hit an inverted DDT. Rhino waited for Al Snow to get back up to his feet and when he did, Rhino charged full speed for a Gore to get the three count.

Interview:
[After Al Snow's loss to Rhino, music starts playing and Kelly Kelly walks up to a makeshift platform.]

Kelly Kelly: Hi Al! Sorry about your loss to Rhino but I have something that might make you feel better. As you might remember, I am an exhibitionist. Right here and now, I'm going to take it all off to show you all how extreme I can be!

[Kelly proceeds to do a slow strip tease, until she gets down to nothing but her short shorts and her hand bra. A worried Joey Styles walks up to her with a microphone.]

Joey Styles: Kelly Kelly, what in the heck are you doing? Do you want ECW to be taken off the Sci-Fi Network?

Kelly Kelly: You know what Joey? All I wanted to do is show something to these fans that they probably have never seen. This is probably the closest they've come to seeing a woman's breasts and no, their computer screens don't count. Considering all the stereotypes about most sci-fi fans I would have to say that ECW and the Sci-Fi Network are a perfect match. They're all pathetic!

[The ECW crowd boos Kelly Kelly and start chants that have to be bleeped.]

Kelly Kelly: While these losers here in the ECW Arena won't be seeing all I can offer, that hottie in the ring, Al Snow, is someone that can. That is, if you accept my offer to become your manager, Al. And Joey, when he does accept my offer, he most certainly will be able to see all of my assets.

[Kelly Kelly winks at the camera before leaving to a round of boos and other various chants from the ECW fans. Meanwhile, Al Snow is still in the ring, not knowing what to think about the situation with Kelly Kelly.]

The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm) defeated The Sandman and Tommy Dreamer when L. Storm made Dreamer submit to the Canadian Maple Leaf in 0:10:25.
Rating: ****

After having singles matches the past few weeks, The Impact Players finally squared off with the heart and soul of ECW, Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman. The tensions between these four wrestlers have been building and it hit a fever pitch last week when Lance Storm hit Tommy Dreamer across the midsection with that barbed wire baseball bat. During the match, Tommy Dreamer was seen favoring his midsection, no doubt still feeling the effects from last week. Because of this, The Impact Players isolated Tommy Dreamer from his tag team partner The Sandman at every opportunity. When Lance Storm managed to apply the Canadian Maple Leaf submission hold on Tommy Dreamer, he pulled up on it to increase the pain not only to the legs but also to Dreamer's midsection. Tommy Dreamer tried his best to withstand the pain but it was too much for him as he had to submit to the hold.

Interview:
["Prince of Punk" Shannon Moore is listening to some music on his MP3 player. Curiously, though, he's not singing the tunes of The Clash or The Sex Pistols. He's singing "I'm bringing sexy back." Brent Albright is seen walking past Shannon Moore and he looks at him and shakes his head. He confronts Shannon Moore by turning him around and knocking the MP3 player out of his hands.]

Brent Albright: Shannon, maybe my ears fail me but it sure seems like you were listening to Justin Timberlake. Since when did a true punk listen to mainstream pop music; much less Justin Timberlake.

Shannon Moore: I think all the suplexes have distorted your hearing perception, Brent. You know what I think? I think the system has gotten the best of you. I watched your promo last week. You were frustrated about no one giving a damn about your debut. Look at me on the other hand. I got a lot of hype for my debut and now everyone is clamoring for me to wrestle every week. Maybe you're just jealous.

Brent Albright: I don't need hype videos and I don't need a poser like you trying to tell me that I am jealous of someone like you. You missed a key point of my promo last week that respect is the most important thing to me. If I don't get respect, I'll beat it out of you until you respect me. Next week, Shannon, you and I are going to compete in a wrestling match. You will learn to respect Brent Albright.

[Shannon Moore has a worried look on his face as Brent Albright walks away.]

Vampiro pinned Little Guido with the Nail In The Coffin in 0:05:58.
Rating: ** 3/4

The much traveled Vampiro finally made his ECW debut and seemed popular with the ECW Arena crowd. Vampiro brings with him the lucha libre style of wrestling he has learned in his many years wrestling for promotions in Mexico. While an underdog in this match, Little Guido didn't just lay down for Vampiro. Little Guido got in some offense here and there but his offense just didn't seem to phase Vampiro much. Vampiro would get the victory in his wrestling debut for ECW after hitting the Nail in the Coffin for the three count.

Interview:
CM Punk: So what exactly qualifies me to be here in ECW? Brazilian ju-jitsu? Muy thai kick boxing? Kembo karate? Or maybe it's the most disciplined regiment of all: wrestling. You see, I've trained extensively all over the world, applying and learning my craft. It's time everybody finds out exactly how disciplined I am about competing with the best. Except that I am also disciplined enough to savor the anticipation for my debut. My name is CM Punk.

[Paul Heyman is standing in front of an ECW banner.]

Paul Heyman: Ladies and gentlemen, once again thank you for watching the greatest wrestling show on television and the greatest wrestling promotion, Extreme Championship Wrestling. I would like to think that since ECW returned, we have raised the bar as to what professional wrestling should be. If ECW hasn't made a believer out of you yet, then just watch next week. I have signed two matches that will involve the ECW World Title and the ECW World Tag Team Titles. The World's Greatest Tag Team of Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin will defend their ECW World Tag Team Titles against MNM and The Eliminators in a Three Way Dance. If that's not enough for you then maybe this next match will be. Our ECW World Champion, Kurt Angle, will defend his title against Sabu! This will be their first matchup and believe me, it promises to be extreme!

[Teddy Hart is in his lockerroom.]

Teddy Hart: Sabu, I haven't heard one word from ECW about you accepting my challenge for one more match between us. I never thought someone with the monicker of being the most "homicidal, suicidal, and genocidal" son of a bitch would be so cowardly. Be a man, Sabu. If you don't want to face me one more time, say so. Otherwise, all of ECW and myself will just have to assume the worst about you. With me, though, these people know what they are getting with me. They don't ever have to be disappointed about me being a coward. I have no fear because I don't have an understanding of what fear is. I go out there to the ring and risk everything for your entertainment. I am what Sabu used to be. What I am is the past, present, and future of professional wrestling. All you player hating sons of bitches want to be me and all your girls want to see me. When your kids meet me, I greet them with a smile because Teddy Hart goes the extra mile.

[Kurt Angle and The World's Greatest Tag Team, all with their respective championship belts over their shoulders, are shown in their lockerroom.]

Kurt Angle: Take a look at what greatness is. Team Angle Xtreme is where it's at in professional wrestling. These championships prove that we are as good as we say we are. Tonight, we are going to wrestle Sabu and The Eliminators in a Six Man Tag Team Match. Sabu, you are someone that I've never faced in my wrestling career. I am looking forward to proving that technical wrestling will always be superior to your daredevil, careless antics. Next week is your opportunity to wrestle for my ECW World Championship. It's a title you've held before but one you will never hold again as long as I am the champion. It's true, it's damn true!

Charlie Haas: The way I look at tonight's match, Kurt and Shelton, is that it's ECW's past versus the present and future of ECW. Without a doubt, in the past, The Eliminators were one of the best tag teams in ECW. You used to be the ECW World Tag Team Champions. Unfortunately, it is the year 2006, not 1995 anymore. What you are looking at is exactly what we claim we are and that is The World's Greatest Tag Team.

Shelton Benjamin: Next week, Paul Heyman decided to raise the bar so to speak and book us to defend our titles against MNM and The Eliminators in a Three Way Dance. That's just fine with us because it gives us an opportunity to defeat not just one tag team, but two! Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury, your woman isn't so bright if she believes you two are great. You're flashy, but not the greatest. We are the team to beat and we are the greatest tag team in the world. If you ECW fans don't believe it, just watch next week!

[Sabu and The Eliminators are backstage. Sabu is pointing to the ceiling while John Kronus starts laughing for no reason.]

Perry Saturn: Since I'm the only one that can do a promo without pointing to the ceiling or laughing, I guess I'll be the spokesman for our team. So we got a six man tag team match against Kurt Angle and The World's Greatest Tag Team tonight? We're all looking forward to it, especially myself. Kurt Angle, don't think Kronus and I haven't forgotten about how you cost us the ECW World Tag Team Titles. I also haven't forgotten the Angle Slam you gave me after the match and how you threw me out of the ring like I was nothing. The way I see it, The Eliminators are the uncrowned ECW World Tag Team Champions. Next week, we'll finally get our gold when we win the Three Way Dance.

The Eliminators (John Kronus and Perry Saturn) and Sabu defeated Team Angle Xtreme (Charlie Haas, Kurt Angle and Shelton Benjamin) when Kronus pinned S. Benjamin after the Total Elimanation in 0:19:31.
Rating: *****

Sabu and The Eliminators proved tonight that while they may be from the past of ECW, they are very much apart of the present day ECW and a force to be reckoned with. Whenever Kurt Angle was in the ring with Sabu, you could tell he was having a hard time handling his unpredictability. There was definitely a clash of styles between the two that Kurt Angle wasn't prepared for, despite what he said confidently in his pre-match interview. As for The Eliminators, they definitely looked as if they were the uncrowned champions as Perry Saturn said earlier in their pre-match interview. If the result of this match is any indication of how next week's Three Way Dance go, then The Eliminators are the next ECW World Tag Team Champions. John Kronus and Perry Saturn hit Total Elimination to get the three count for their team. Could next week's ECW Hardcore TV see the ECW Originals Sabu and The Eliminators with all the championship belts?

I see you're joining Vince McMahon in crapping on the legacy of ECW.  ;)

Good stuff though.

I wanted to incorporate some of the "new breed" ECW characters however change some nuisances to their characters. For instance, Kelly Kelly is more of a bratty heel rather than a face trying to please people but failing miserably at it.

Overall, though, I think the ECW Arena crowd types would be somewhat pleased about how this is going as opposed to the indifference of The Big Show title run era. Of course, I am lucky that I can keep Kurt Angle under contract. :-)

I wasn't referring to your booking or your choice of promotions to sim, but rather to the amusing typo that had me trying hard to picture the platform itself.

I posted that weeks ago and I never noticed it until now! I figured there would be at least one typo I never caught.
