Table No-Countout-No-DQ-Number-One-Contenders-Match:
Sabu defeated Masato Tanaka by putting him through a table in 0:15:13.
Rating: **** 1/4

A last second stipulation was added to this match. Instead of it being an
ordinary rules match (and in ECW, is there anything ordinary?), this match
would be fought under Table Match Rules. The first wrestler to put their
opponent through a table would be declared the winner. This match seemed to
favor Sabu as he ordinarily puts his opponents through tables anyways. Once
again, Sabu would put Masato Tanaka through a table after hitting him with the
Triple Jump Moonsault. However, Masato Tanaka had his opportunity to put Sabu
through the table when he attempted a flying elbowdrop through the table on the
outside of the ring from the top of the post, however Sabu moved out of the
way. Masato Tanaka landed hard on the table, but it did not break. Sabu
immediately went back into the ring, set a chair up, and hit the Triple Jump
Moonsault on Masato Tanaka and broke the table in the process. The victory
gives Sabu the number one contendership to the ECW World Television
Championship.

Interview:
Al Snow is backstage talking to "Head" again. He wonders what that blonde was
doing out there last week and why she cost him the match. Al Snow stops talking
when suddenly that blonde walks up to him. She smiles at him and puts her hands
on the "Head" mannequin. She asks Al if she can have "Head." This provokes a
bunch of laughter from the ECW crowd and a confused look on Al's face. When the
blonde figures out what she said, she explains herself meaning she wants to see
the mannequin. A disappointed Al Snow hands her the "Head" mannequin and she
promptly throws it down. Al asks her why she did that and why she cost him the
match last week, and who she is.

The blonde identifies herself as being named Kelly. And she disagrees with Al's
view that she cost him the match. The only thing that costs Al Snow any matches
is himself. Kelly says that Al doesn't even take himself seriously, why should
any ECW wrestler? But Kelly does take Al seriously and wants to guide his
career. And just think about all the perks of having Kelly as your manager? Al
still isn't convinced about it. Kelly understands and says that tonight, she
will show Al Snow and all the ECW fans here at the ECW Arena just what she is
about. She thinks it might convince Al that she will be the best thing to
happen to him since he got "Head."

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
C.W. Anderson pinned Stevie Richards after a spinebuster slam in 0:05:38.
Rating: ** 1/2

C.W. Anderson picks up his second win in a row by defeating Stevie Richards
with a spinebuster slam. Considering he took advantage of the attack by Cactus
Jack against Beulah and Tommy Dreamer two weeks ago in order to get the upset
victory over Tommy Dreamer, it is apparent that C.W. Anderson is all business
going into this new era of ECW.

Interview:
The ECW World Tag Team Champions, Eugene and Rob Conway, walk out to the ring
and receive a round of boos from the ECW Arena crowd. The fans chant "YOU'RE A
RETARD" to Eugene. Eugene asks for a microphone to address the ECW fans. At
first, Eugene stays in character but he suddenly starts to yell at the fans
about chanting that he's a retard. The fact is, he's not a retard. He's not
even named Eugene Dinsmore. He's Nick Dinsmore! The WWE tried to take away his
respect and his pride. The WWE even tried to make it seem like he had a drug
problem! Nick Dinsmore says that once upon a time, Rob Conway and himself were
one of the greatest tag teams to step into a ring. That's before they decided
to go to the land of sports entertainment. Now that Paul Heyman has given them
an opportunity to redeem themselves as professional wrestlers, they will show
everyone that they are as good as they say they are. Eugene Dinsmore is no
more! He says he is now to be referred to as "Mr. Wrestling" Nick Dinsmore.

Nick Dinsmore gives the microphone to his tag team partner Rob Conway. The ECW
fans start a "YOU'RE NOT BUFF" chant. Rob Conway laughs and says rhetorically
that the ECW fans noticed that too? Much like Nick Dinsmore, the WWE decided to
make Rob Conway into a joke. Rob Conway assures the fans that he is no joke.
Just look at him, how could the WWE decide to just waste a talent like him or a
talent like "Mr. Wrestling" Nick Dinsmore? Now that Rob Conway is in ECW, no
longer will he be subjected to wrestling on Heat any longer against the likes
of Viscera, Val Venis, or "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. In ECW, Dinsmore and Conway
will be respected. If they aren't respected, they will make the ECW wrestlers
respect them. Rob Conway puts over his previous nickname of "Ironman", and how
he can wrestle with the best of them.

Nick Dinsmore gets back on the microphone and tells the ECW fans that what they
are looking at are simply the Limited Edition, your ECW World Tag Team
Champions. Tonight, to prove a point to all the doubters in the ECW Arena, they
are issuing an open challenge to any tag team and they will put the titles on
the line. The challenge is answered by the former ECW World Tag Team Champions
Roadkill and Danny Doring. Doring welcomes Dinsmore and Conway to ECW. But they
have what is rightfully theirs, the ECW World Tag Team Titles. If any team
deserve the first chance to challenge for those titles, Danny Doring believes
that Roadkill and himself are the team that deserves it thie most considering
they were never defeated for those titles in the first place. Dinsmore tells
the timekeeper to ring the bell and for the referee to start the match because
the challenge has been accepted!

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
Limited Edition (Nick Dinsmore and Rob Conway) defeated Danny Doring and
Roadkill when R. Conway pinned Roadkill after a flying elbowdrop in 0:12:00.
Rating: ** 3/4
(Limited Edition retained the ECW World Tag Team Titles.)

Limited Edition, the team of Nick Dinsmore (formerly Eugene) and Rob Conway,
have many doubters even though they are the ECW World Tag Team Champions. In
this match, the fans were firmly behind the team consisting of the former ECW
World Tag Team Champions Roadkill and Danny Doring. This was their chance to
prove that they were the true champions, not Limited Edition. While the fans
directed a lot of negative chants towards Dinsmore and Conway, the team paid
attention to the task at hand and that was to retain the titles. Limited
Edition did indeed retain their titles after Rob Conway hit a flying elbowdrop
on Roadkill, which may have landed awkwardly on the throat of Roadkill, to get
the three count. As the crowd booed Limited Edition, the grabbed their
championship belts and pointed to them as they walked backstage.

Interview:
The ECW World Heavyweight Champion, Rob Van Dam, talks about his title defense
against Rhino tonight. But it's not just a title defense, according to Rob Van
Dam, it is his opportunity to regain the ECW World Television Championship, a
title he should've never had to vacate in the first place. Bill Alphonso
interjects and says that Rob Van Dam held that title for almost two years.
Tonight, when he regains the World Television Title and retains the World
Heavyweight Title, RVD will once again reign supreme and will reign as champion
for more than two years! Rob Van Dam says he is not taking Rhino lightly
though. Rob Van Dam jokes around, saying that "have you looked at Rhino lately?
There's nothing light about him!" Rob Van Dam closes the interview by doing his
usual line about being Rob...Van..Dam and being the Whole F'n Show while
pointing to himself as Bill Alphono mimicked the gestures.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
Perro Aguayo Jr. pinned Cibernetico with the Double Stomp in 0:10:31.
Rating: ** 1/2

These two lucha libre stars from Mexico teamed up together last week in the
battle royal to determine new ECW World Tag Team Champions. Unfortunately,
while being a dream team of sorts, the partnership was not very successful as
they were eliminated early on. Apparently, each one blamed the other for not
winning the titles, so they demanded a match here tonight. Cibernetico had the
size and power advantage against Perro Aguayo Jr., but the lucha libre style
kept this an evenly matched contest. With this being an ECW Arena crowd, they
were rather savvy about these two and booed Cibernetico as he's a major rudo in
the AAA promotion, while Perro Aguayo Jr. is a popular wrestler who has
wrestled for both AAA and the other major lucha libre promotion in Mexico,
CMLL. In a major surprise, La Parka made his way down to the ring with a chair,
receiving a loud ovation from the fans in the ECW Arena.

La Parka entered the ring, and got in the middle of the two wrestlers. La Parka
proceeded to do his traditional dance that he does before and after his
wrestling matches in AAA. In fact, he even urged Cibernetico and Perro Aguayo
Jr. to dance along with him, which they did. The fans were loving it in the ECW
Arena, much as they did when the Public Enemy did their dance in the ring. All
of a sudden, La Parka slammed the chair right to Cibernetico's head, knocking
him down to the mat. La Parka and Perro Aguayo Jr. slap hands as they
apparently have an alliance Cibernetico wasn't aware of. Perro Aguayo Jr.
proceeded to hit his finisher, the Double Stomp, and got the three count.

Afterwards, La Parka dances again, and so does Perro Aguayo Jr. However, La
Parka takes the chair and gives a chairshot to a stunned Perro Aguayo Jr.! La
Parka dances some more as the crowd chants "LA PARKA" repeatedly. There have
been discussions between ECW and AAA about an official working relationship
between the two promotions.

Interview:
Kelly is standing on a makeshift platform. Kelly says she forgot to tell Al and
everyone that she's an exhibitionist. That's why tonight, right here and now,
she is going to take it all off. Kelly proceeds to do a slow strip tease, until
she gets down to nothing but her short shorts and her hand bra. Joey Styles
walks up to her with a microphone and asks her what the heck she is doing, does
she want ECW to be taken off Sci-Fi? She teases the ECW fans that this is
probably the closest they've come to seeing a woman's breasts and no, their
computer screens do not count. Not to mention, all the stereotypes about Sci-Fi
fans. No wonder ECW is on Sci-Fi, it's a perfect match. While these losers at
the ECW Arena won't be seeing all she can offer, if Al Snow accepts her offer
to become his manager, he most certainly will be able to see all her assets.
She winks at the camera before leaving to a round of boos and other various
chants.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm) defeated Tommy Dreamer and
The Sandman when Credible pinned Dreamer with the That's Incredible in 0:07:33.
Rating: ** 1/2

Much to Tommy Dreamer's credit, he returned to wrestling action despite the
injury to Beulah. The best way to not think about what Cactus Jack did to
Beulah, is to just take that anger out on someone else in ECW. That just
happened to be The Impact Players and he turned to his good friend The Sandman
to be his tag team partner. The ECW Arena fans were happy that indeed The
Sandman had his traditional "Enter Sandman" theme song by Metallica for
tonight's show.

These two teams brawled throughout the ECW Arena: in the ring, on the outside
of the ring, through the crowd and even at the broadcast tables where Joey
Styles was at. At the announcers table, The Sandman and Justin Credible were
fighting it out, as it seemed both had an eye on using the table to their
advantage. However, from behind CM Punk emerged with a Pepsi can of all things
and surprised The Sandman with a Pepsi can hard to the face, which bursted
open. The Sandman dropped his Singapore cane, which CM Punk quickly picked up
and hit The Sandman repeatedly with it. By this time, Justin Credible decided
to go back to the ring where Tommy Dreamer and Lance Storm were fighting it
out. CM Punk cleared the announcers table and brought The Sandman up onto the
table with him. CM Punk proceeded to hit The Sandman with a Pedigree through
the table! The Sandman would be a non-factor for the rest of the match.

Meawhile, in the ring Lance Storm and Justin Credible were double teaming Tommy
Dreamer. The momentum shifted when they whipped him off the ropes and tried to
hit a double clothesline, but instead Tommy Dreamer ducked under and met them
with a clothesline! Tommy Dreamer executed a DDT on Lance Storm and threw him
out of the ring. Tommy Dreamer waited for Justin Credible to get back up. As
Justin Credible was slowly getting back up, from behind Cactus Jack hid by the
ring. As Tommy Dreamer picked Justin Credible up for a Death Valley Driver,
Cactus Jack entered the ring and threw a fireball to his face, immediately
stunning him obviously. Cactus Jack did his "bang, bang" taunt and left the
ring to boos and chants from the ECW Arena fans. Justin Credible took advantage
of the help by executing That's Incredible to get the three count.

After the match, the ECW medics tended to an obviously hurt Tommy Dreamer in
the ring. It looks as if Cactus Jack has just elevated this feud even more and
has taken up on Tommy Dreamer's dare to not show up in ECW again by taking the
attack to him.

Interview:
The ECW World Television Champion, Rhino, says that tonight is when he takes
back what is his, the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. Rhino believes that
Rob Van Dam is a paper champion until he can defeat the true World Heavyweight
Champion. Rhino says that tonight, if Rob Van Dam can defeat him, he'll extend
his hand for a handshake because only then will he respect Rob Van Dam as World
Heavyweight Champion. However, Rhino is confident that Rob Van Dam will not
defeat him tonight. That's because Rhino is promising to surprise Rob Van Dam
with something he never expected.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
Rhino pinned Rob Van Dam with the Gore in 0:16:48.
Rating: *** 3/4
(Rhino won the ECW World Heavyweight Title.)
(Rhino retained the ECW World Television Title.)

This main event match definitely had a big time match feel and it was the
perfect environment to have such an important match, at the ECW Arena. Both
titles were on the line in this match, which definitely could be considered the
most important match since the return of ECW. Rhino has stated all along that
he believes he is the true ECW World Heavyweight Champion as no one ever
defeated him for the title when the promotion closed originally. While Rob Van
Dam also stated that he never was defeated for the ECW World Television
Championship.

Rhino promised in an interview right before the match that Rob Van Dam would be
given a surprise he never would expect. That definitely was the case as it lead
to Rob Van Dam losing the ECW World Heavyweight Title. Rhino had attempted to
win this match by hitting the Gore on Rob Van Dam through a table lying in the
one of the corners. When Rhino tried to hit the Gore, Rob Van Dam moved out of
the way at the last second, making Rhino go through the table, breaking it in
half. Instead of going for the pin, Rob Van Dam brought a chair in the ring and
put it against Rhino's face. The fans knew what was coming as Rob Van Dam
climbed to the opposite turnbuckle and executed the Van Terminator. Rob Van Dam
wanted to go for the pin, but Bill Alphonso entered the ring, blew his whistle,
and looked like he was telling Rob Van Dam something. Rob smiled at whatever
Bill Alphonso had to say and left the ring and came back in with a table. RVD
and Bill Alphonso set the table up in the middle of the ring, and put Rhino on
top of it. RVD pointed to one of the turnbuckles and gestured for the "Rob Van
Dam" taunt. It looked as if Rob Van Dam wanted to hit the Five Star Frog Splash
on Rhino through the table. However, in a shocking turn of events, as Rob Van
Dam was about to hit the Five Star Frog Splash, Bill Alphonso tossed Rhino a
folded chair, which Rhino managed to put in such a way that RVD would hit his
head on the chair as he landed the Five Star Frog Splash.

The table was broken in half, and Rhino did indeed go through the table, but
Rob Van Dam was knocked out cold from the unexpected chairshot from Rhino. The
fans were livid at Bill Alphonso, but he didn't care as he put Rhino on top of
Rob Van Dam for the cover. Alphonso yelled at the referee to make the three
count and the referee did so reluctantly, and as the referee was about to slap
the third count, Rob Van Dam was still out cold and unable to kick out or lift
a shoulder. The referee made the three count, giving Rhino the victory as he
retained his ECW World Television Title and more importantly, won the ECW World
Heavyweight Championship. Bill Alphonso took off his Rob Van Dam shirt to
reveal a Rhino t-shirt! It was a setup all along! The show comes to an end as
Bill Alphonso puts both the ECW World Heavyweight Title and ECW World
Television Title around his shoulders as both Rhino and Rob Van Dam are still
out cold from the impact of that Five Star Frog Splash through the table, along
with the chairshot from Rhino that went with it.

I definetely get the old ECW feel from your fed, complete with over-the-top interference and screwjobs. It's arguably a great read and a good start to the new ECW. Fortunately for you, you have the liberty to do as you please, two-hour slot, making the old-timers look good in the ring, bringing in contracted people... it's probably why TNM is such a great game.

Keep it up man, I enjoy it, looking forward to the continuation of the Punk vs Sandman feud.
HugeRockStar760Posted on 06/26/06 at 18:20:53

Thanks. However, the two hour slot is a one time deal since technically I doubt it'd make sense for the real ECW to give a one hour show when Smackdown! is not being taped in the same building. Besides, July 4th, ECW, and the return to the ECW Arena deserved two hours. However, the real ECW is going to use the Wachovia Center instead.

And I totally agree, while this is more representative of the old ECW, it's doubtful ECW will ever go this route in booking. (Because for one, Rhino isn't going to be apart of the roster anytime soon). And I doubt the WWE is going to make fun of itself with Dinsmore and Conway shooting on the WWE. Poor Eugene. I think he is truly stuck in that gimmick for awhile.

-eeeeeeeWHOA!!! I am AB-SO-LUTLY loving the ECW GIF. Now that my friend, is Hardcore. Buuuut, not as hardcore as Lita on Vengence, HOTTTIE!!!

- Thats what my title match was gonna be for the TV Title Tournament in my promotion, lol. I decided not to tho, thank goodness. Whats ecw w/o variaty? Good match tho, feeling Sabu as TV Champion. Hopeuflly he will go all the way.

- LOL! Sexual in-you-endos (I have no idea how to spell it, so i sounded it out). hehehe, "head", hehe.

- I have much respect for CW, and good match.

- YEAAAAAAAAH! Original Nick Dinsmore. Great Tag team champs, loved em in UW (i think it happend there too) and love it now. Crush jobber match.

- Cool tag team match. Loooooove Sandman/Punk feud.

- ugh... but the... he j---... RVD lost the title already? ZuuuuHHHH? I gotta see where u are going w/ this.

AWESOME SHOW except for RVD losing the title. ;D ;D ;D
HugeRockStar760Posted on 06/27/06 at 07:39:02

I didn't make that animated .gif. I made a request for one on another ECW website, and someone understood what I meant and voila. I'm not that inspired to make an animated .gif.

RVD lost the title thanks to Fonzie basically. What goes around comes around (of course Fonzie turned his back on Taz to manage Sabu and then managed Sabu and RVD later.)

Just a throwback to the past. It's all about Fonzie, the manager of champions.
HugeRockStar760Posted on 07/04/06 at 05:25:23

And people question my decision to take the title off RVD? Ha! :D Seems like a pretty good idea in retrospect huh?

Which leads me to ask an important question. Should I either fire or suspend Rob Van Dam and Sabu? If I suspend them, it would probably be for three months, maybe two months at minimum.

If I fire them, it will make things "extremely" (no pun intended) hard, however, I think I can overcome the abscence of ECW's two biggest draws with the roster I have, plus possible additions from OVW or even someone from RAW. (Let's just say he has a hardcore "edge" to him).

Or of course, I could choose to just ignore RVD's drug issues, and Sabu's prescription medication addiction like the old ECW to have more "authenticity" to the old ECW. :-)

It's an important decision since it will affect how I book a certain match on the July 11th ECW card.
Memphis25Posted on 07/04/06 at 08:40:32

Turn it into a way for CM PUNK to fued with RVD and SABU. Maybe winning a loser leaves town match with Sabu since he will most likey get released before Rob.
The Bizz 2.0Posted on 07/05/06 at 08:24:38

oooooooooooooooooo. u called RVD losing the title... >:( :-/... u called it.
HugeRockStar760Posted on 07/05/06 at 10:06:54

Well, I'm not exactly happy about it. Had Rhino not been such a proud TNA jobber, more than likely Rhino would've been the one to defeat RVD instead of The Big Show in the real ECW. At least that's my biased take on it.  :D

Yeah, it's kind of uncanny how I booked RVD to lose the title on July 4th though. Different circumstances though as I originally just wanted to turn Bill Alphonso against RVD and align with Rhino and establish Rhino as the monster he used to be.

I'm still thinking about suspending RVD like the real ECW as well. It's only fair that I follow that in my circuit. But I'm not going for the three months I originally planned to have him suspended.
Snabbit888Posted on 07/22/06 at 00:06:10

WWE has actually gotten me interested in Sabu again, so it's good to see him win this match here, a tough fought battle against Tanaka, who I also greatly enjoy.  Plus Sabu wrestling for a title = good news to me.

Like the twist on how you debuted Kelly into ECW.  She wants Head!  She can give Snow Head too!  Yay for this angle!

Would rather have seen Stevie win as I'm not a big fan of C.W. Anderson, but I'll see what you got going for him before I shoot it down.

Well, Dinsmore is still kind of retarded, but not because of his gimmick. :)  I liked the promo though, all except for the WWE making his drug problem up.  But a solid promo, and a good win to establish them as champs.  Well done.

Hrm... just realized that this is the show right after RVD got busted for pot.  Don't think he's walking out as a double champion.

I like the integration of the AAA guys, and any time I can see La Parka I am happy.

Oh Kelly, you cheap heat slut!  Hehe.  Like it though... what will poor hapless Al Snow do?

The tag match was good, but a little interference heavy (but this is ECW afterall).  I'm really looking forward to Punk vs. Sandman though.

Ooh... very nice how you did the title switch.  I was expecting some Heyman influence, but the Alphonso turn was very cool.  I like where all this is going... keep it up.
