MCPW Live
Calihan Hall
Detroit, MI -7/6/07-

Happy 4th of July from Calihan Hall as the sold out crowd were on their feet as CM Punk made his way to the ring. He took the mic from the announcer and got to the point. He said last week someone he once considered a friend turned on him leaving him in the ring battered and bruised. He then said he remembered a few months back when this kid came to him asking questions about wrestling, asking for pointers on different holds, wanting someone to show him how to get ahead in this business. Punk was interrupted by Harry Smith and MCPW champ, Christian Cage. Smith had a mic of his own he told Punk to shut the hell up. He said of all the people in the world why would he ask CM punk for advice on wrestling? Smith said he comes from one of the greatest wrestling families ever. His father was a champion, his uncles were champions his grandfather's wrestling school has produced more world champions but he would skip past all that and get advice from Punk?. Smith smiled and said if anything Punk was riding his coattails trying to get a glimpse of what it is like to be a winner. Smith finished up by saying he was tired of carrying dead weight and winners hang with winners.

Cage took the mic from Smith and told Punk that if he has an issue with Smith then he has an issue with the Coalition. Cage and Smith started to walk towards Punk when Christopher Daniels came running down to even the sides up. This brought out Bill DeMott who received a mixed ovation. DeMott told them to save it for later tonight because they will meet in a tag match. Smith yelled something to Punk and dropped the mic and headed towards the back.

Back Stage

Danielson and Punk were talking about tonight when Bryan Danielson came over. He asked if they were going to be alright since the Coalition likes to attack in packs. He said if needed he has their back. But before anyone could answer, Mr. X and the Kings of Wrestling walked up. Mr. X told Danielson he needed to worry less about their backs and more on his because tonight he was going to be all over Danielson. Punk and Daniels start to walk over but the Kings told them they had enough problems with the Coalition they didn't need to add to the problem. Danielson said he was not worried about Mr. X or the Kings or the Coalition and started to walk away. Mr. X just looked as they walked past.

Video Promo

We are in a dark locker room. A single light swings back and forth casting eerie shadows on the wall. A lone hooded figure sits on a bench. We are unable to make out who it is because of the light's movements. The figure says that in one week the stable known as the Coalition will fall one by one. First was Styles to feel his power. Cage, your run as MCPW champions is slowly coming to an end.

Homicide defeated Crazy J by countout in 0:07:25.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Irish Airborne retained the MCPW Tag Team Titles.)
[Chris Hero interfered against Crazy J.]

In a match that just became a title match a few days ago The Airborne stated they would give any and all a shot at the titles. Unfortunately the Kings of Wrestling had other ideas as Chris Hero took Crazy J while the ref wasn't looking leaving his crushed and unconscious body laid out on the floor. By the time the ref looked up the Kings were heading back up the ramp and Lotus was over his partners body calling for assistance. The ref counted to 10 as medical came over to check on Crazy J.

Harry Smith and Christian Cage defeated Christopher Daniels and CM Punk when
Cage pinned Punk after a flying cross body press in 0:17:08.
Rating: ****

Harry Smith and CM Punk did not wait till the bell to ring to get at each other but as good as Punk and Daniels worked together, Smith and Cage worked just that much better. This was a different Smith from what we have seen in the past. This one was aggressive and took worked the rules o the breaking point. It was the heavyweight champ who finished off the match by hitting a flying cross body press on punk to pick up the 3 count.

Bryan Danielson defeated Mr. X by disqualification in 0:03:56.
Rating: ** ½

This was not a match; this was chaos from the start, as the Kings of Wrestling attacked Danielson from the bell. The ref tried to get some order but called the match after a few minutes, Punk and Danielson came down followed by Coalition members Aries, Benjamin and Hass. All hell broke out until officials came from th back to clear the ring. Even Bill DeMott was in the ring tossing bodies and holding folks back. MCPW UPDATE
Week of 7/13/07

Welcome to this weeks MCPW Update. Last week's main event didn't end when the cameras went off in fact the scuffle lasted almost 20 minutes after the PPV ended and worked it's way to the locker rooms. Bill DeMott was quick to issue fines and threaten suspensions to other.  Next week Mr. X and Bryan Danielson will go at it once more but DeMott made it clear if anyone from the Coalition, the Kings or anyone else not involved in the match even looks like they are heading to the ring, will be automatically suspended. Should be interesting to see if anyone calls DeMott's bluff.

In other news backstage was a buzz after the video promo for MCPW newest superstar who claimed to have "taken care of AJ Styles" and MCPW Heavyweight champion Christian Cage was next. Speculation has run wild trying to figure who this person is. We asked Bill DeMott about this person's claim about attacking former TV champ AJ Styles and DeMott told us they were looking into his claim but said that negotiations to bring in this wrestler were just completed so whatever he may or may have not done, before signing with MCPW is between him and Mr. Styles. When asked for any clue to his identity, DeMott just said he's been around.

In tag team news, the Irish Airborne demanded that they get a shot at the Kings of Wrestling for what they did last week. Crazy J was sent flying to the concrete floor after being shoved off the top turnbuckle by Chris Hero causing Crazy J to spend a few nights in the hospital for observation.  Mr. X speaking on behave of the Kings said they will face the Airborne only if the titles were on the line. The champs agreed so next week these two will face off again this time with the titles at stake.

Finally, Raven who for the last few weeks have been battling Samoa Joe for the MCPW Television title has left MCPW effective immediately. DeMott stated that Raven did not give any reason  why the sudden departure but last week PPV was Raven's last show. MCPW wish him well in the future.

Well that's it for now make sure you check out MCPW on line at http://uwrestling.net/ for more information on this weeks PPV.
