MCPW Live
Calihan Hall
Detroit, MI 6/29/07

The entire memberships of the Coalition were making their way to the ring as this week's PPV gets on its way. Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Hass were the first in the ring followed by MCPW Champ Christian Cage. Bringing up the rear were Austin Aries who was helping a bandaged and limping AJ Styles into the ring. The Sold out crowd were really lighting into them but none of them seemed to mind. When all members were in the ring Cage pulled out a mic and started talking. He started by saying in this ring you have the most dominate group of athletes in MCPW. He continues by saing that everyday he receives calls from around the world from wrestlers who would do anything to become part of the Coalition. Well tonight we decided to once again offer membership to one lucky person, a person who has come to me personally and said he was tired of working with 3rd class wrestlers, tired of waiting for his time, someone who has said he is ready to take what is his by any means necessary. Cage smiles and tells the crowd to calm down, the newest member of the Coalition will be announced before the end of tonight's show and tonight the Coalition will take care of business.

Cage hands the mic to AJ Styles who receives the loudest of boos but he just shrugs it off. He starts by saying that two weeks ago he did what no one else in MCPW could do and that was defeat Low-Ki and take the Television title. For one moment The Coalition held both titles. He continues by saying that Bill DeMott claims he has no idea who attacked him last week but he believes DeMott does. Bill DeMott wasted no time in stripping the TV title from me and running some BS battle royal and handing my title to of all people Samoa Joe. The Crowd stats chanting his name but this only gets Styles more upset. Styles finishes by saying he doesn't know who he got to attack him or what he paid DeMott to agree to go along with it, but as soon as he is cleared by doctors he will be getting his Television title back.

Styles then handed the mic to Charlie Hass who said that last week what they did to CM Punk and Harry Smith was just a wake up notice. Incase they needed reminding who runs things around MCPW. Tonight will be another wake up call.

Finally Cage took the mic and he looked into the camera long and hard. HE said that for weeks now Christopher Daniels has been trying to take something he damn well doesn't deserve and that was Cage's MCPW Heavyweight title. He said that Daniels doesn't deserve it and he has had more then enough chances to get it., tonight he will make sure Daniels get it.

Adam Pearce pinned Kenny Dykstra after hitting him with a Keyboard in 0:13:21.
Rating: ***
Adam Pearce picks up another victory here in MCPW but this week may be a little tainted as he used a keyboard from the announcers table to knock Dykstra out and get the win. A few boos were heard in the crowd, seem some don't like this new attitude in Pearce.

In a rematch from last week the Briscoe Brothers took on London and Kendrick and battled them to a time limit draw. That didn't stop Jay Who continued to beat down Kendrick. It was only when the ref threatened to award the match to London and Kendrick did Jay lay off.

Just then Mr. X came in and said he heard the words "No" and "Brain" and thought they were taking about either Cage or Daniels. Mr. X said that when it comes to brains MCPW runs short. In the ring

Raven paced back and forth in the ring mumbling to himself about missed opportunities and striking the iron while it's hot. He then stopped and said that when Samoa Joe was MCPW Heavyweight champion he not once challenged him for a shot at the title if he did then he Raven would be the champion now. He said that was a missed opportunity, but now that Samoa Joe is the Television champion he will not make that same mistake twice and demanded that tonight Samoa Joe defends the TV title against him.

Jo came out to the top of the ramp to the delight of the crowd TV title across his shoulder. He says he has never turned down a challenge and he will not start now, Tonight you me the ring this title. The crowd went wild as Joe made his way back up the ramp.

The World's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin) and
CM Punk and Harry Smith battled to a double countout in 0:03:49.
Rating: ** 1/2

Just as last week the rule book was tossed out and all four men were at each other. The action spilled outside the ring and the ref counted to 10 counting out both teams. This didn't stop anything as they continued fighting. Punk was being double teamed by Hass and Benjamin and Punk was able to fight his way out the corner. Hass rolled outside the ring when Smith grabbed a chair and took a swing and cracked it.......ON THE BACK OF CM PUNK!! The crowd was livid as Hass and Benjamin smiled as Smith grabbed a shirt from the corner and put it on it read Coalition. The three men stomped on Punk a few minutes longer till officials came down to break it up. The crowd tossed cups and popcorn at Smith who didn't seem to care.

Excellent card! AJ Style seems very determined to find out who attacked him, and get a shot at Samoa Joe... Huge shock to see Harry Smith turn on CM Punk and join the Coalition - never saw that coming! Looks like things are heating up. Keep up the great work!

MCPW Update

Last week AJ Styles made his first public appearance since being stripped  of the Television title and to say he was upset would be an understatement. Styles who was still in obvious pain publicly accused Operations Manager Bill DeMott and Samoa Joe of working together to orchestrate the attack on him last week. Styles has made it clear that once cleared by doctors he will reclaim what was stolen from him and that is the MCPW Television title. Bill DeMott continues to deny any involvement in the attacks but tells update "That the safety of all MCPW employees is his number 1 concern and that MCPW officials continue to look into it." Samoa Joe on the other hand has nether confirmed or denied the attack on Styles only saying "AJ Styles had it coming "Now fans hold off before you go inking down that Samoa Joe/AJ Styles TV title match, doctors have stated that AJ styles injuries were serious and that it will be at lest 6 to 8 weeks before they will even estimate when Styles will return to the ring.

Don't think the temporary loss of AJ Styles has slow downed the Coalition; in fact they have grown by 3 since his accident. 2 weeks ago Christian Cage added Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Hass the self proclaimed "World's Greatest Tag Team"  and just last week in a shock to all in attendance, Harry Smith turned on long time friend CM Punk and joined the Coalition. Update tried to talk to Smith but he told us he would talk when he is ready. Obviously the Coalition attitude is already rubbing off.

We talked to new MCPW superstar Bobby Lashly who made his debut last week. We asked him about coming to MCPW:

Lashley: "Coming to MCPW was not a hard decision. The greatest wrestlers in the business are here and to be number 1 you have to beat the number 1 and that means coming to Detroit and seeing what you got."

Bobby Lashley is a former US Army Ranger and Armed Forces Champion. He has also won major championships in other promotions. Bobby did say that the MCPW Heavyweight title would look nice around his waist but for right now just looking to establish himself and have some fun.

The Irish Airborne have made it three in a row over the Kings of Wrestling since taking the tag team straps from them a few weeks ago. Crazy J stated after last weeks convincing win that there are 'lots of deserving teams in MCPW who deserve a shot at the tag team titles and as champions we plan on giving it to them." Next week the Airborne match against Homicide and Katsushi Takemura will now be a title match.

Finally Mr. X did not take his loss to Bryan Danielson well as reports had him screaming at everyone who got in his way after the show. He has demanded a rematch next week and promised that the results would be different. No word from Danielson yet if he will accept the challenge.

That's all the news for now will see you next week for more MCPW Action.
