In the Ring

The unknown Mr. X is in the ring and receives a mixed reaction. He tells the crowd that the problem with MCPW can be traced all the way to the top and that's Christian Cage. He then continues and calls out Christopher Daniels. The crowd jumps to their feet when the Fallen Angel makes his way to the ring. Mr. X starts by saying that as long as Cage and the Coalition are in a position of power they will continue to bring down this promotion and that with Daniels help they can do it. Daniels not sure about Mr. X asked why he should trust him. Mr. X replied by saying for the last 3 weeks when Cage sent his goons down to interfere who was the only person to come down and help you? Cage fears me and with your help we can take Cage down and dismantle the Coalition.

That statement brings out the MCPW champion and the Coalition who come half way to the ring. Cage says he fears no one. but everyone here should fear him. He said that he told everyone that he was going to get that belt of Samoa Joe and he did. He said he was going to beat Low-Ki and take that title and he did. He said he told everyone that Daniels would not win the title and he didn't. Cage said he is a man of action and that tonight he will take out Daniels for good and remove his Mr. X problem. The Coalition started to head to the ring but GM Bill DeMott came out He told everyone to stay where they are. Tonight this is how things are going to go down. Aries and Styles since you are regrettably the number 1 contenders for the tag team titles; you will face the Irish Airborne in single matches. If you lose one mach you can kiss that title shot good bye. Cage since you seem to be in the fighting mood you my friend will have the pleasure of facing one Nigel McGuinness in a non title match; again if you lose he gets a rematch next week for the title. Now for you two Mr.X and Daniels, you two will face a tag team of my choice later tonight. That should clear up any questions you two have about each other. DeMott left the ramp followed by a very pissed off Coalition. In the ring Daniels and Mr. X just looked at each other. Mr. X said I'll see you later then and made his way out leaving Daniels in the ring to wonder what he got himself in to.

Harry Smith pinned Mark Briscoe after a jawbreaker in 0:11:46.
Rating: *** 1/4

Harry Smith took on Mark Briscoe in singles action and both men put on a decent opening match. Smith took advantage of his strength and out wrestled Mark Briscoe late in the match hitting a jawbreaker to pick up the win.

Homicide and Katsushi Takemura defeated Paul London and Brian Kendrick by countout in 0:18:06.
Rating: ** 1/2

Homicide and Takemura teamed up for the first time here in MCPW going against one of the hottest teams around London and Kendrick. This match showed why the tag division is so strong as they battled it out in the ring with high flying moves and crazy suicide dives but it London who missed timed a leap and crashing through a table outside the ring. Kendrick went over to check on his partner but London was not able to answer the 10 count.

Austin Aries defeated Lotus by disqualification in 0:06:32.
Rating: ** 1/2

In a match of frustration it was Lotus who lost his temper and not Aries who won the match after Lotus continuously shoved the referee causing the disqualification.

MCPW Television Title Number-One-Contenders-Four Corners Match:
Petey Williams defeated Bobby Roode, CM Punk and Kenny Dykstra:
x B. Roode beat Punk via a powerslam in 0:04:41
x P. Williams beat B. Roode via disqualification in 0:06:59
x P. Williams beat Kenny via the Canadian Destroyer in 0:19:16

[Scott D'Amore interfered against Petey Williams.]

Williams takes the top spot and gets another shot at Low-Ki for the TV title. Jenny Dykstra looked great in this match but came up short. Punk continues to come up short in the big matches and what is becoming the norm Scott D/Amore cost Roode the win by interfering against Williams.

AJ Styles pinned Crazy J after an Asai moonsault into an inverted DDT in 0:11:24.
Rating: ****

This was a great match as the unstoppable AJ Styles took out Crazy J in this must win match. Crazy J didn't make it easy for Styles but Styles was able to hit an ausi moonsault into an inverted DDT to pick up the win.

MCPW Non title match
Christian Cage pinned Nigel McGuinness with the Unprettier in 0:14:30.
Rating: **** 1/4

McGuinness was ready for this one wanting to get another shot at the title, but Cage had a look of purpose as he and McGuinness went at it. Both men left it in the ring as this one went back and forth. It took a last minute dodge and the Unprettier for Cage to take this one.

MCPW Television non title match
Low-Ki pinned Raven with the Ki Crusher in 0:09:11.
Rating: ****

Low-Ki continues to show why he is one of the greatest champions in MCPW taking out a tough competitor in Raven. Raven came close many times but Low-Ki would always find a way to get his shoulders up. Late in the match Low-Ki was able to hit the Ki Crusher to win

The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli) defeated
Christopher Daniels and Mr. X when Hero pinned C. Daniels after
the Running Forearm Smash in 0:09:59.
Rating: ****

You had to know that something was going to happen in the main event and it did. In an match that lasted only 9 minutes the Kings were able to take out Daniels with a running Forearm Smash. Mr. X tried to break up the count but was not able to get there in time. Mr. X Was furious and he demanded the Kings get back in the ring. The Kings jumped back into the ring and Mr. X and Daniels ran at the Kings as the fight continued on Daniels was about to hit the Last Rites on Hero when out of nowhere Mr. X blasted Daniels in the back with a chair. The Kings then picked up Daniels and Mr. X hit him again with the chair. Mr. X held up the chair as the Kings raised their hands. Mr. X yelled to the kings to lift Daniels up again but before they could Bryan Danielson came running down to save his former tag partner but the damage was done. Mr. X turned on Daniels and looks like he joined forces with the Kings. The Crowd booed the three as they stood at the top of the ramp pointing at the Daniels and Danielson.

I like the emphasis on quality workers. Is MCPW ever going to run in Cobo Hall?

Thanks for the replay, They will run Cobo Hall, their scheduled to be at the hall sometime in late July.

Great card... damn that Mr. X! I guess your mind tells you to do wild things when you're so obsessed with getting a taste of gold.
