(Triangle Match for the vacant RoH Tag Team Titles)
The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe) defeated
Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero and Nick Dinsmore and Matt Cappotelli:
x J. Briscoe beat Dinsmore via the J-Driller in 0:27:38
x M. Briscoe beat Hero after the Briscoe Bomb in 0:35:09
Rating: *** 1/4
(The Briscoe Brothers won the RoH Tag Team Titles.)

Match Notes- WOW. I Definatly saw The Kings of Wrestling re-gaining the
titles that were stripped of them. But, Mark Brisoce nearly KILLED Hero
with the Briscoe Bomb that got the Briscoes the tag team titles.
The crowd was all against The KOW, and gave a good cheer for
Dinsmore/Cappotelli. Briscoe's just knew what was happening tonight
more than any other team and earned their spot as champions.

(Four Corners Match for the vacant RoH Pure Title)
Nigel McGuinness defeated Chris Jericho, Davey Richards and Shane Storm:
x N. McGuinness beat Richards via the Thames Barrier in 0:22:05
x N. McGuinness beat Storm via the Thames Barrier in 0:38:25
x N. McGuinness beat Jericho via the Thames Barrier in 0:49:33
Rating: **** 1/4
(Nigel McGuinness won the RoH Pure Title.)

Match Recap- Two matches tonight split the MOTN reward. This match and the
main event. I was leaning more towards this match, but they were just
as amazing. McGuinness cleaning house tonight, not only eliminating 1,
not 2, but 3 other men to re-gain his RoH Pure Title. Shane Storm came
out to a good pop. Good to see he's getting some recognition for his
work in CHIKARA. I was guessing he was gonna be eliminated first,
but Richards messed up big time and one of his moves got reversed into the
Barrier. The final face off was great. When McGuinness/Jericho walked to the
middle of the ring the place was on fire. I've never heard a louder crowd
in a very long while. McGuinness got the best of Jericho THIS time, and
made him submit to the Barrier.

(Four Corners Match for the vacant RoH World Title)
Homicide defeated Bryan Danielson, Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe:
x Homicide beat B. Danielson via the Cop Killa in 0:14:08
x C. Daniels beat Joe via an Asai moonsault in 0:21:21
x Homicide beat C. Daniels via the Cop Killa in 0:47:04
Rating: **** 1/4
(Homicide won the RoH World Title.)

Match Recap- The last RoH World Champion was eliminated first! I would
figure he would try to put up a big fight, but it looked like he wasn't
even trying tonight. (NOTE- Danielson needed to be helped backstage
after he landed wrong on the Cop Killa. He was walking, thank god.
Hope he's better.) The second fall saw a finish of Daniels pinning
Joe after an Asai Moonsault. This got some bad crowd heat, because
the crowd wanted to see a Joe/Homicide finish. The last fall was
nothing short of FREAKIN' AMAZING. I mean, these two put on a show
that none could do after 21 minutes into a match. Homicide managed
to execute the Cop Killa on Daniels to a good pop.
The crowd was all over this match and loved every second of it.
Homicide has won his first Ring of Honor belt... ever.
=======================
OVERALL SHOW THOUGHTS- This show was awesome. The event was free to
get in (due to no warning of event actually happening) and the arena
was surprisingly jam packed. A great gift from RoH to the fans for
the holidy season, and I can't wait to get this baby on DVD.

Nice big show, all the titles are filled, all the big names are represented.

I'm a fan of the Briscoe's so the first match was excellent for me...I hate KoW for all the right reasons, I love to watch them wrestle, but I hate their heel personas.

I would have guess that Jericho was going to be the initial Pure champion after I looked at the first line. But I was wrong...McGuiness takes it, can't say I'm upset.

I'm a much bigger fan of Bryan Danielson than anyone else in the main event, so I'm pushing for him to get a rematch and take the title. However, Homicide would be my second choice...so if that rematch does happen down the road...I'll be happy about it.

Nice start to the federation with establishing all champions and a good foundation of the "who's who".   I was rooting for the KoW to take the titles but the Briscoes are cool too, I'm sure we'll see a rematch down the line.

Nigel winning the Pure Title is good, wonder if we'll see a long reign for him like in r/l?  Gotta say I love Homicide going over because even if I like all the other guys in the match it's cool to see a guy like Homicide get some top gold.

Great start and it looks like it will be highly interesting.
