(TNM-MP Elite) JRCCW from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

OmegaSupremePosted on 09/21/07 at 05:29:21

Welcome to another fine edition of JRCCW wrestling!  Let's get down to ringside!

Larry Zbyszko v. Sam Houston

Sam Houston came out fighting in this one.  He was looking to spoil the JRCCW debut of Larry Zbyszko.  Zbyszko was able to weather the storm and seemed to be in control of the match.  Houston fought back again, though and hit Larry Z with the Bulldog!  He made a cover, but only got two and a half.  Shortly after, Larry was able to take over and went to work on the arm.  After several moments of this, he nailed Houston with The Shoulderbreaker and pinned him to pick up the victory.

Larry Zbyszko pinned Sam Houston with the Shoulderbreaker in 0:10:29.

Next up, to the surprise of many, Jim Herd came out carrying the JRCCW World Heavyweight Title belt!  He grabbed a microphone and summoned Ric Flair to the ring!

Ric Flair along with J.J. Dillon made their way to ringside.  Flair was stylin' and profilin'.  He grabbed a microphone and said it was about time to that Herd awards him with the JRCCW Title Belt.  Herd said not so fast.  He said that Flair will not win the belt based on injuries to other participants in the Round Robin tournament.  He told Flair, though, that he would have a chance to become JRCCW Champion and he would get that opportunity this weekend at the very first Clash of the Champions, taking place in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Flair said no problem and asked who his opponent would be.  Herd said this man... and suddenly Ron Garvin ran out to the ring.  Flair took a swing at him, but Garvin ducked and decked Flair with a big time haymaker!  Garvin turned his attention to Dillon, and tossed him over the top!  Anderson and Blanchard rushed out to the ring, but Garvin saw them coming and slid to outside and went through the crowd!

So there you have it!  Ron Garvin and Ric Flair will compete over the weekend to see who will be the first ever JRCCW World Heavyweight Champion!

For now, back to the ring...

The Windhams v. The Powers of Pain

The Windhams came into this match on a tremendous role here in JRCCW.  They looked to carry the momentum on this match.  They took the fight right to The Powers of Pain, but at times PoP was much too powerful.  The Barbarian had Windham isolated later in the match and began choking away!  He refused to break the hold and was disqualified!

Barry Windham and Kendall Windham defeated The Powers of Pain (The Barbarian and Warlord) when Windham defeated Barbarian by disqualification in 0:07:44.
Rating: -1/2*

Even after the bell, The Barbarian refused to break the hold.  Kendall had seen enough, so he grabbed a chair!  He got in there and cracked Warlord right between the eyes and then he went over and smacked The Barbarian across the back with it to break the chokehold.  He got Barry back to his feet and they hit The Barbarian with a double suplex!  The Powers of Pain retreated to the back and The Windhams are victorious!

We have received word that based on this victory, Barry and Kendall have been named the #1 contenders to the JRCCW World Tag Team Championship and will meet the champions this weekend at The Clash of the Champions!

Back to ringside for more great action!

Jimmy Garvin v. Kevin Sullivan

We're in store for another great debut as Jimmy "Jam" Garvin takes on Kevin Sullivan!  This was an impressive debut for Jimmy Jam, as he controlled almost the entire match.  Several minutes in, he hit Sullivan with a kick to the midsection and dropped him with a DDT!  He made the cover and picked up the win!

Jimmy Garvin pinned Kevin Sullivan with the DDT in 0:07:55.
Rating: * 1/4

So impressed was the Championship Committee, with this debut, that they have named him a top contender for The JRCCW United States Title.  We have received word that he will battle the returning Lex Luger for the title at The Clash of the Champions!

JRCCW World Tag Team Title Tournament Match
The Rock'n'Roll Express v. The Midnight Express

This match was a classic and one that we hope to see time and time again here in JRCCW.  Both teams registered several near falls against the other.  Jim Cornette saved The Midnights from near defeat on several occasions.   The Midnights hit The Midnight Drop on Rock'n'Roll Ricky, but he BARELY got the shoulder up at two and a half.  Still, he fought back and made the big tag to Robert!   Robert came in and knocked Eaton to the outside with a dropkick and hit Lane with a German suplex!  The official went to count, but Cornette stopped him.  Morton came over and took care of Cornette!  Gibson hit Lane with another German and this time the official registered the three count!  The R'n'R Express win it!

Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) defeated The Midnight Express (Stan Lane and Bobby Eaton) when R. Gibson pinned S. Lane after a German suplex in 0:22:08.

[Jim Cornette interfered against Ricky Morton.]

With that win, Rock'n'Roll have an outside chance of leaving tonight as JRCCW Tag Team Champions!

Butch Miller v. Dick Murdoch

The rough and tough Texan wasn't messing around tonight.
Then again, neither was Butch Miller!  Miller even went so far as using a fire extinguisher against Murdoch!  Still, Murdoch absorbed all of that punishment and came to finish Miller off with The Gourdbuster to keep his winning streak alive.

Dick Murdoch pinned Butch Miller with the Gourdbuster in 0:11:27.

JRCCW World Tag Team Title Match

The Road Warriors v. The Horsemen

The Road Warriors over-powered their adversaries early on, but it was only a matter of time before the Horsemen used illegal double team manuevers to take over.  Animal hoisted Blanchard over his head for a gorilla press slam, but Anderson came in and took out the leg with a chop block.  The Horsemen tagged in and out for the next several moments, softening him up.  They went for a double clothesline, but Animal ducked and nailed them with a double clothesline of his own!  Still he was hurt, but somehow crawled over and made the tag to Hawk!  Hawk came in on fire and leveled both Horsemen repeatedly with clotheslines!  Animal came back in and grabbed Anderson, whipping him in and catching him with a Powerslam!  Anderson rolled to the outside while Animal sent Blanchard in and hit him with a Powerslam as well!  Hawk gave the sign!  Hawk went to the top and Animal lifted him up... Doomsday Device on Blanchard!  Dillon jumped up on the apron, but Hawk ran over and hit him with a roundhouse right!  The referee was over trying to seperate Hawk from Dillon, while Animal was covering Blanchard and has him beat.  Anderson cames back in and nails Animal on the back of the neck with the ringbell!  Anderson then comes over and dumps Hawk over the top!  Anderson goes over and sets Animal up for a Piledriver and Blanchard makes it a Spike!  Anderson makes the cover and the offical turns around to count three!

Horsemen Blanchard & Anderson (Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard) defeated The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) when Anderson pinned Animal after the Spike Piledriver in 0:21:27.
Rating: * 1/4

The Horsemen are the NEW JRCCW World Tag Team Champions!  Dillon has recovered and he slides in a chair.  Hawk tries to come back in, but Anderson grabs the chair and hits him across the back with it!  He stomps Hawk to the outside.  They lay out the chair and set up Animal again... Spike Piledriver on the chair!  The Horsemen take their belts and head to the back.

Meanwhile, EMTs come out and strap Animal to the stretcher as the event comes to a close.

Card rating: * 3/4

L-O-D!  L-O-D!  I look forward to Hawk and Animal getting some revenge down the road on the nefarious Horsemen.

RnR and the Midnights goes 20 minutes and only gets 3 stars?  Only in TNM... :P

I'm enjoying this circuit.
OmegaSupremePosted on 09/21/07 at 16:34:29

Thanks Josh.

I'm glad you enjoy it because it might be the only circuit in this MP that is still active. :)

That's what I get for being excited about this whole thing.

Wrestling needs to hit a boon period again just so TNM can have another boon period too...
UnrightPosted on 09/21/07 at 21:37:17

Damn. Did you decide on that finish before Animal quit on you or did you just roll with it?
OmegaSupremePosted on 09/21/07 at 22:20:49

Animal was kind enough to put in notice following the card held in Albuquerque, so I was given time to figure something out.

Looks like the Clash of the Champions is going to see the Four Horsemen gain all the titles in JRCCW. So is this Jim Herd you're using more competent than the one circa 1991? :-)

I really like your circuit. You have a great mix of wrestlers that  enjoy watching and miss seeing from that time period. JCP was my favorite promotion (especially since I grew up in the mid-atlantic). Keep the good work up! :-)
OmegaSupremePosted on 09/23/07 at 04:57:35

Jim Herd is equally incompetent in any era. :)  I'm glad some of you are enjoying this circuit, because I'm really enjoying running it.  It's a real throwback and a lot of fun to do, so hopefully things turn out okay with it!
