WWWE RAW Week 1

The show opens with enough pyro to smoke out the arena as RAVEN, dressed in a dapper white suit walks down to the ring, followed by a HUGE guy in a nice black suit, with black leather gloves, a mask covering the lower half of his face and a tophat covering the top. Raven grabs the mic and announces that, with the untimely death of his INCREDIBLY wealthy and like-minded grandpappy, Raven is now a very rich man. He announces that he has bought into an upstart promotion and used his position to hire the best talent in wrestling today, young and old. He goes on to say that every new promotion should have their show opened with an exciting matchup to set the tone for the future... And that today, HE would be wrestling a legend in the making in this milestone match! Some ODDLY GENERIC sounding music plays, leading to BLACK MACHISMO, Jay Lethal making his way to the ring.

"Black Machismo" Jay Lethal vs Raven (w/huge MYSTERY BODYGUARD)
-As the bell rings, Raven tries to sneak attack Jay Lethal, who caught him with a quick clothesline! Regrouping, Raven charged at him again and Lethal caught him with a hiptoss followed up with a dropkick to the face! Lethal used his quickness to keep Raven off his feet through most of the match, but as he bounced off the ropes, Raven's MYSTERY BODYGUARD hit him with a big chop to the back of the head... WHILE STANDING ON THE FLOOR! Lethal stumbled towards Raven, who hit him with a quick Evenflow for the win!

Raven pinned Jay Lethal with the Evenflow DDT in 0:09:14.
Rating: ** 3/4

After the match, Raven ordered his bodyguard into the ring... The bodyguard began choking Lethal, then lifted him into the air, before slamming him down to the mat! As Lethal writhed in pain, the monster kicked him in the head, knocking him out, as Raven sat in the corner, laughing. He ordered the monster to lift him up again, but before he could, JOHN CENA ran down, scaring Raven out of the ring and trading punches with the monster! Finally, Cena ducked under a punch and slid out of the ring, pulling poor Jay Lethal out with him... Raven got on the mic again, throwing a temper tantrum and yelling that he would make John Cena's life HELL for ruining his fun!

KENTA, Paul London & Brian Kendrick
vs
Syuji Kondo, Claudio Castagnoli & Chris Hero
-An international matchup, featuring KENTA and Syuji Kondo from Japan, Claudio Castagnoli from SWITZERLAND, and Chris Hero, Paul London and Brian Kendrick from America! KENTA was absolutely brutal with his kicks on Chris Hero, shocking the crowd with how loud they echoed across the arena! Claudio and Hero were eventually able to isolate Paul London in the ring and destroyed him with their acrobatic double teams, before he managed to tag out to Kendrick, who quickly hit Claudio with the Sliced Bread #2! But as he went for the pin, Syuji Kondo finally made his presence known, breaking it up with a powerful clubbing forearm to the back. He shot Kendrick into the ropes and TOOK HIS HEAD OFF with a King Kong Lariat! Paul London jumped in to make the save, but was caught with a massive GORE/Spinebuster combo, bouncing hard off the ring. Claudio dragged Kendrick to the outside, legally a tag in WWWE (JUST LIKE CHIKARA, HMM...) Kondo taunted Paul London, waiting for him to stumble to his feet, and as he did, DECAPITATED him with another King Kong Lariat! Kondo made the pin right in front of KENTA, who just waved him off and walked to the back as the ref made the count!

Syuji Kondo, Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli defeated
Brian Kendrick, KENTA and Paul London when Syuji pinned P. London with the
King Kong Lariat in 0:11:53.

Post-match, Hero and Claudio stomped London out of the ring and celebrated like they had just won the lottery.

Next up, Jun Kasai and Nosawa Rongai, two extremely scummy looking Japanese wrestlers came out; Kasai wearing a tail on his shorts... Kasai grabbed the microphone and proclaimed "I'M CRAZY! I'M MONKEY! I'M CRAZY MONKEY!" while Nosawa nodded deviously. As he began to repeat the above, CRYME TYME's theme music hit! JTG and Shad walked down to ringside, uttering "That's just not right..."

CRYME TYME (JTG & Shad Gaspard)
vs
"Crazy Monkey" Jun Kasai & Nosawa Rongai
-Not much of a match, as Kasai hit JTG with a plancha while Nosawa hit Shad with a baseball slide before they could even get in the ring! The ref had a hard time getting the match started, as both teams seemed happy enough to keep the fight at ringside! Eventually the action spilled into the ring, where Kasai and Nosawa focused on JTG, but JTG ducked under a double clothesline attempt from the Japanese wrestlers and made the hot tag to Shad, who came in as a house of fire! Shad managed to dump Kasai out of the ring, but before he could inflict too much damage on Nosawa, KENZO SUZUKI ran into the ring, spun him around and hit him with an Iron Claw STO, forcing the ref to call for a DQ!

Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and JTG) defeated Jun Kasai and Nosawa Rongai when
S. Gaspard defeated Kasai by disqualification in 0:05:52.

After the match, JTG ran into a ring with a chair, chasing the EVIL Japanese away!

Cody Rhodes vs Carlito
-A battle of second generation stars. Unlike most of the earlier matches, Cody Rhodes was able to control much of the match, constantly frustrating Carlito with the constant nearfalls! After Cody Rhodes kicked out of a Backcracker, Carlito appeared to snap, wrapping a chain around Cody's neck and began choking him out, forcing the ref to call for ANOTHER DQ! Carlito began punching Cody in the face with the chain, bloodying him up!

Cody Rhodes defeated Carlito by disqualification in 0:12:39.
Rating: * 1/4

Backstage, Raven was seen watching the match on a monitor, exclaiming to his massive bodyguard that he appreciated Carlito's style!

Rey Misterio Jr & Mistico
vs
AJ Styles & John Morrison (with Christian Cage)
-Incredibly fast-paced action, as the Mexican legend and legend in making took on two of the top young talents in the US, all while seconded by a constantly-interfering Christian Cage. Any time Mistico or Rey Jr would land on the ground, AJ or Morrison would distract the ref, letting Christian put the boots to the luchadors! Mistico finally had enough and ducked an AJ Styles clothesline, ran up the turnbuckle and hit Christian with a corkscrew plancha from the top rope! The match slowed down a bit, as AJ and Morrison grounded Rey Jr, attacking his knees, but they couldn't keep Mistico down and the luchadors hit their finishers, the West Coast Pop and La Mistica, but just as the ref's hand was going up to hit the mat for the third time, the bell rang!

Mistico and Rey Misterio Jr. and
Christian Coalition (AJ Styles and John Morrison) battled to a draw in 0:20:00.

[Christian Cage interfered against Rey Misterio Jr..]

AJ and Morrison celebrated like they had won the match, while Mistico and Rey Jr made it clear they'd get them next time.

Raven then came back down to ringside, declaring those two teams WOULD see each other again, but not next week, as that was the beginning of an eight-team tag title tournament! But, more importantly, tonight was the beginning of the WORLD title tournament, and that it would have some VERY SPECIAL RULES. It would be a FIVE-man tournament. He then declared himself the #1 seed and claimed a bye. He then announced the next wrestler in the tournament... JOHN CENA! Cena's music hit and he came down to ringside. Cena told him he's never heard of anything as stupid as a five-man tournament; Raven said he had heard Cena actually got paid for making the Marine... He then announced another entrant into the tournament and the man Cena would be wrestling RIGHT NOW... Scrap Iron Adam Pearce!

World Title Tournament - Round 1:
John Cena vs "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce
-Pearce, despite being a relative unknown, startled Cena with his old school brawling and cheating, keeping him on the ropes. Cena kept fighting back, but Pearce would constantly cut him off with eye gouges or chokes... As if he finally had enough of it, Cena lifted Pearce up and nailed him with the F-U for the win!

John Cena pinned Adam Pearce with the F-U in 0:08:13.
