TNM disappears

The PhantomPosted on 05/10/05 at 16:07:23

Recently, when I try to look at my tag team section in the control center, TNM disappears. It is still listed in the task manager but I can't get to it.

I'm using TNM7 SE build 3b, Windows XP. I have e-mailed Oliver but I thought I would post it here to see if anyone else might have a solution.

Try running TNM through DOS.  Chances are that an error message will appear when you do the same thing - WinXP likes shutting down DOS programs that misbehave without asking permission first, so it's likely that it has closed too fast for you to see it in the past.  Oliver should be able to help you out if you post what the error number is.

The Build 3B version provides more problems than any kind of fixes. So I just went back to Version Build 3 and it works fine.

Here is the error message:

try turning on compatibility

Don't guess I follow. How do I do this?

Right click the file, choose the Properties option from the menu that pops up, and on the resulting screen select compatibility.  Fiddle around with the settings there a bit and see if it helps.

Not a problem.  Glad we could help with this one.

What did you change?

Oliver solved my licence file problem but now, whenever I try to run a circuit or access the ControlCenter then my TNM disappears completely.
The PhantomPosted on 05/14/05 at 21:58:09

On the shortcut I have for it, right click on it and go to the compatibility tab and then I set it to run in compatibility mode for Windows 2000.

I've tried all the settings on the compatibility page and nothing works, I'm just about ready to give up!!

XP SP2 gives applications less memory than all other versions before that used to. An error 15 being thrown means "help, I can't get the memory I need - da**!".

Ian --- do you want me to send you a Build 3 or Build 3b pre-installed version?

Also, I could instead take a look at the program you currently have to see if your trouble really is related to XP.

Oliver,

I think my problems are down to me being technically useless!!

If you could send me a pre-installed Build 3 or Build 3b that would be great (and I will be much more careful in future).
