Month 11 + Playoff & Post-Season Schedules

blslivewirePosted on 03/22/08 at 07:23:20

It's time for the last matches of the regular season with the last 3 playoff spots up for grabs. First, lets look at the standings through the first 10 sets of matchups:

1. The Texas Terror 229 Points [Clinched Playoffs]
2. The White Tigers 214 Points
3. The Dojo 204 Points
4. Parts Unknown 199 Points
5. MXP 193 Points
6. Just Us 181 Points
7. Pain On Demand 177 Points
8. The Pain Factory 166 Points
9. Dark Rend 139 Points
10. The I.V. League 137 Points
11. The Flying Tigers 132 Points
12. MI-8 111 Points

* The top 4 seeds make the playoffs.

Now, here's the schedule for Month 11:

1. MXP vs The White Tigers

The White Tigers have all but clinched their playoff spot while MXP needs a very good showing to move into the top 4. MXP is just a little more than 1 win behind Parts Unknown so they are still very much alive.

2. The I.V. League vs The Texas Terror

The Terror are the only team to have clinched a playoff birth but still need to win enough matches to keep that #1 seed. The White Tigers are just 3 wins behind.

3. Just Us vs Parts Unknown

Just Us are just barely on the bubble and enough wins along with enough losses from MXP will put them in the playoffs. Parts Unknown can either move into the #3 seed or be eliminated from playoff eligibility alltogether.

4. Pain On Demand vs MI-8

POD needs a clean 7-0 sweep plus some lousy performances from several other teams to keep their season alive.

5. Dark Rend vs The Flying Tigers

While both teams aren't in playoff contention, victories never heart a wrestler's chance of being retained or drafted next year.

6. The Pain Factory vs The Dojo

A disapointing season for the returning champions, even a full sweep won't put the Factory into playoff production. The Dojo, however, are sitting at the third seed but lead #4 by just 1 win and #5 by just over 2 so a solid performance against the champions is a must!

There you have it guys. No cards will be posted until some serious trash talk is posted!

The Playoffs & Grand Prix

Here's what will be on each card after month 11:

#1 vs #4

#2 vs #3

*Note*

Pretty exciting season with the nearly cancellation of the board and all..

Let's check out the matchups..

Lightweight: El Generico (8-2) vs The Amazing Red (3-7)

Generico will win this match without a hitch. He's been dynamite all season, with his only losses happened at the hands of KENTA and Tajiri. The highest ranked guy Red was able to defeat has been Spike Dudley.

Cruiserweight: Bryan Danielson (4-6) vs Great Sasuke (7-3)

Sasuke has the advantage, but he could have done a lot better. He lost some relatively easy matchups against the likes of Shark Boy and Super Dragon. Danielson may not have the best of records, but I think he's due to score the upset.

Light Heavyweight: Jyushin Lyger (7-3) vs Eddie Guerrero (5-5)

In a strange division that is full of American grapplers, Lyger has bested a lot of the guys who wrestle in the same style of Eddie. While Eddie has lost to guys like Silver King. Lyger is also coming off a big momentum win over Hayabusa. Lyger will definitely win.

Jr. Heavyweight: La Parka (3-6-1) vs Mil Mascaras (7-3)

I'm really disappointed in Parka this season. He should have done a lot better. Mils will probably win, but then again, he did lose to the Honky Tonk Man.. So maybe the comedy element will throw him off.

Heavyweight: Snitsky (2-8) vs Ted Dibiase (2-6-2)

Hmm.. Tough call. Snitsky sucks and so does Dibiase. Dibiase did beat The Rock, which gives him the highest profile win... But whatever. It's a coin toss matchup.

Super Heavyweight: The Undertaker (5-3-2) vs Yokozuna (5-5)

We all know how this match ended in real life and the same thing will happen here. If Undertaker had a little extra time he would have beaten Big Show and Bundy. Yoko has shown again and again, that once you knock him off he's feet he's a goner.

Tag Team: Salvatore Rinauro & Tony Mamaluke (6-4) vs Bam Bam Bigelow & Vader (10-0)

uh.. Yeah, um.. Let me put it this way: Right now our strategy involved doping their water bottles.
