Show 11 - Fool Me Twice...!

The Road Agents are scrambling tonight as the stars of TNMWA are let loose in Las Vegas, Nevada! And what can sin city expect from the TNMWA in return? Well, if they're at the Orleans Arena they can expect some amazing wrestling action the likes of which you can't find anywhere else! Tonight is no exception as we have a huge 6-man Double Elimination Tag Match as Unright and the Detroit Serial Killaz take on Jason Morgan, America Mamushi and the man who ain't gonna take it anymore, Rick Garrard! Also, Carlzilla and Landon Luna will test each other's physical and mental limits by going one-on-one in a shoot fight to the finish. So without further babble, we go to our first match as Phudjie takes on our Japanese Jobber, Keiji Muto.

Match 1:
Phudjie vs "Pearl of the Orient" Keiji Muto

- Muto starts off with some effective hit-and-run tactics against the slower Phudjie.
- Phudjie catches him with a devastating running powerslam to slow down the pace.
- Muto backdrops Phudjie out of the ring and follows up with a flying cross body press!
- Outside, Phudjie hits the Trailer Park Equalizer on Muto through the announcer's table! Muto is busted open!
- Phudjie hits the Flight of the Landshark, but doesn't go for the pin.
- Phudjie hits a second Trailer Park Equalizer for the pin.

Phudjie pinned Keiji Muto with the Trailor Park Equalizer in 0:09:29.
Rating: **

Phudjie looks content to make the point that he does indeed have a finishing move and he's not afriad to use it.

Match 2:
Rebel INS vs "The White Tiger" Zedja in a Non-Title Match

- A nice clean handshake before the match.
- Zedja hits a sweet Asai moonsault that transitioned into an inverted DDT, but only got a 2 count. The crowd was impressed, so he did it again.
- Rebel locks Zedja in a bearhug for a lenghty period of time that really sapped Zedja's strength.
- Zedja goes for a sitout power bomb, but Rebel counters with a kneebar that again really hurt Zedja.
- A worried Zedja hits the White Tiger Driver, but only gets two.
- Rebel blocks a spinning leg lariat and hits his finisher!
- Rebel beat the champ! Non-title match, though...

Rebel INS pinned Zedja with the 1001110101 in 0:08:33.
Rating: *** 3/4

Rebel INS wins another match thanks to a fanatical crowd base that would literally to anything for him. Frankly I'm finding it a bit scary and the FBI has been asking some uncomfortable questions.

Match 3:
The Drifter vs Pulsar

- A wild brawl starts things off, but Drifter locked in a gullotine choke that winds Pulsar badly.
- Pulsar gets a bit of momentum back with a stiff jawbreaker followed by an ankle lock.
- Drifter grabs the ropes to break the hold, then hits a spinebuster and gets a 3 count!
- That was fast.

The Drifter pinned Pulsar after a spinebuster slam in 0:03:24.
Rating: 1/2*

The Drifter is apparently saving energy for his Finisher-Only match against Rick Garrard later on. Pulsar is visible frustrated after the match and offers to fight the ref, who declines.

Match 4:
"The Insanity" Brent Sanders vs "The King of the Tables Match" Psymin

- Sanders goes for some submission moves early on, but Psymin counters with a very effective tactic of 'hit your opponent's head'
- Psymin presses his advantage and sends Sanders crashing through a chair with a flying bulldog!
- Sanders is rallying, breaking out the electric chair drop to put some hurt on Psymin.
- Sanders hit a dropkick to the knee, then a quick tiger suplex but only gets a two count.
- The action spill outside where Psymin sends Sanders through our replacement announcer's table with a diving headbutt!
- Psymin tries to use chairs to cause for damage, but Sander's timely counters are saving him.
- Sanders reverses a DDT with a Northern Lights suplex, then slams his own head into the turnbuckle!
- Brain Drain on Psymin! It's over!

Brent Sanders pinned Psymin with the Brain Drain in 0:13:09.
Rating: ** 3/4

Brent Sanders is still undefeated here in TNMWA. His unorthodox style and mannerisms have bowled over everyone in his path.

Match 5:
The Drifter vs "Jobber to the Stars" Rick Garrard in a Finishers Only Match

- Garrard uses his experience to his favor, starting the match with a powerful Frankensteiner
- The Drifter is visibly tired and uses a guillotine choke to effectively weaken Garrard a bit.
- Drifter brings in a road sign, but gets hit himself with it, drawing blood.
- Drifter uses some powerful punches to send Garrard crashing to the mat, but Garrard springs back up!
- Double Tough Double Up! It's over!

Rick Garrard pinned The Drifter with the Double Tough Double Up in 0:08:30.
Rating: -3/4*

The Rick continues to prove that his Finishing Move is superior to all others as the Drifter comes up short.

Match 6:
"Kaiju C" Carzilla vs "Legit" Landon Luna in a Shoot Fight with a 15 Minute Time Limit

- In the opening seconds, Carzilla seems to have underestimated Luna as he is already sent flailing to the mat.
- He's up after one, but he seems legitimately rocked by that punch.
- Carlzilla opens up a cut above Luna's eye with an uppercut.
- Luna seems to getting the edge on takedowns.
- Blood is trickling from Luna's cut and now his lip seems to be bleeding as well.
- Carlzilla down again after a massive left hook from Luna. He's up quickly, though.
- 3 minutes in, Carlzilla knocked down by another uppercut. Again he's quickly up.
- Both men trade takedowns.
- A forth knockdown for Luna and Carlzilla is quickly up again. Carlzilla needs to hold his ground as Luna is close to a TKO victory.
- Spoke too soon. A roundhouse right sends Carlzilla to the mat for the 5th time and the ref stops the fight.

Final Scorecard
--------------------------
Points
---------
Carlzilla   -  20 0  0  - 20
Landon Luna -  45 0  0  - 45

Knockdowns
-----------------
Carlzilla   - 0  0  0  - 0
Landon Luna - 5  0  0  - 5

Landon Luna defeated Carlzilla via first-round technical knockout at the 04:21 mark.

Short, but brutal. Carlzilla never seemed at risk of being knocked out, but Luna's strong punches were more than Carlzilla could handle.

Match 7:
America Mamushi, Rick Garrard, & Jason Morgan vs Detroit Serial Killaz & Unright in a Double Elimination 6-Man Tag Team Match

- Unright starts off against Morgan and seems to be going for a quick pinfall after an early backdrop driver gets him an close 2 count.
- Morgan hits a discus lariat and tags in Mamushi who goes up top.
- Morgan hits a brain buster and Mamushi comes crashing in with a flying elbowdrop! 2-count!
- Unright sits up after a reverse neckbreaker, but Mamushi sends him back down with a superkick!
- A bit of mis-communication in the ring causes Morgan to hit Garrard with an enzuigiri after Psymin ducked.
- Psymin hits his spots on Morgan (flying bulldog onto a chair, belly-to-belly superplex, & the top rope Psymin Psays) and gets the first pin of the match.
- Justin Sane gets tagged in for the first time and he starts with an Emerald Erosion on Morgan!
- Sane hits the DTD for the double elimination, but Garrard makes the save
- Sane sends Morgan outside and dives onto him with a forearm suicida!
- He tries to hit a german suplex on the concrete, but Morgan reverses it!
- Morgan tries to slingshot splash Sane through a table, but Sane dodges! Morgan crashed through!
- Sane throws Morgan back into the ring and gets a 3 count. Jason Mogan is eliminated!
- Sane rolls outside to celebrate with Psymin, but Mamushi dives onto them with an elbow suicida!
- The Rick & Mamushi manage to isolate Unright and hit a few double teams.
- The Rick hits Unright with a Yakuza kick and sends him into a sleeperhold from Mamushi! Unright fights out after the arm check.
- Unright hits the Strong Shove on Mamushi out of nowhere, but Garrard breaks the pin!
- Mamushi & Garrard may be out-numbered but they are working well as a team.
- Of course so are the DSK as they isolate Mamushi. Psymin hits the Pset-Up, then Justin Sane executes the DTD for the first pin on Mamushi
- Let me just take a moment to mention that we are at the 24 minute mark with 1 wrestler eliminated and a total of 3 falls.
- Garrard hits his finisher on Justin Sane, but Psymin makes the save.
- Unright hits the Strong Shove on Mamushi, but The Rick makes the save.  Everyone is running on fumes at this point.
- Unright loads his mask with a metal plate and headbutts Mamushi! Mamushi is down and bleeding, the ref will DQ Unright for that.
- That questionable move seemed to take a lot out of Unright as well.
- The Rick sees his advantage and jumps in while Mamushi recuperates. DSK wanders over to inflict some damage to Mamushi outside.
- The Rick hits the Double Tough Double Up twice, but Unright kicks out both times!
- But Garrard's unique airplane spin is too much and just like that, the match is even again!
- Psymin locks in an STF, but then legs go when Sane supplies him with a fire extinguisher to hit Garrard with.
- Psymin hits the Psymin Psays, but Mamushi is back to break the pin!
- Mamushi is back up and on his nth wind!
- Sane & Psymin work together to take the wind out of his sails and a pair of DTD and a lead pipe shot finally put Mamushi away.
- 45 minutes in and it's down to the Detroit Serial Killaz against Rick Garrard with nobody close to eliminated.
- The Rick assaults DSK with all his big moves, but the risk doesn't pay off and Justin Sane gets a close 2 count after countering the Double Tough Double Up with a spinebuster slam.
- Still, The Rick doesn't let up and manages to hit his finisher for a pin on Justin!
- At the start of the next fall, The Rick goes right back to the Double Tough Double Up and eliminates Justin Sane!
- Psymin is starting to look worried. It's down to him against The Rick, and The Rick is aiming to win at any cost.
- Sure enough The Rick gets another pin with the DTDU and for the first time, The Rick's team is leading in falls.
- The Rick is tiring though as Psymin counters the DTDU with a spinebuster slam and evens up the match.
- Last fall and it all comes down to this.
- The Rick charges in, but Psymin catches him in a torture rack!
- The Rick is fighting....
- The Rick squirms out by reaching the turnbuckle. But Psymin catches him with the Psymin Psays!
- Pin? 1....2.........3!
- Oh shit, crowd is rioting!

Wait.. Rebel INS is out and asks that the crowd stop riot and they comply! That's all the time we have! See you next week!

(c) Unright Enterprises, 2005

OOC - Damn... Sometimes TNM just delivers a main event when it's supposed to! Rick was so close to pulling off the comeback of the year..

Sorry for being a day late with this card..
Rick GarrardPosted on 11/06/05 at 03:06:43

ooc:  Now THAT is how you do a main event.   WWE and TNA should take note.  Mayhem and action all in one.  And it furthered storylines for the next show.  Is that even allowed in televised wrestling today?  Also were there match ratings for the last two matches?
UnrightPosted on 11/06/05 at 04:13:51

OOC- Oops.. fixed. Four and a half stars. That was a PPV-quality Main Event, though. Anyone giving a match like that on free TV would be hard pressed to top it.

No rating for BFA's though. I didn't know what Carzilla meant by "shoot fight", it seemed like it was the "shootingest" match style that TNM offered.

Still, though.. Ahem..

IC - Garrard? You're dead! Mind as well make it official. Next week. Card 12. You & me. Buried Alive match. And you ain't gonna have a good-looking corpse.

(Drifter) = Wow... Was anyone who was watching that last card see what I saw? Zedja, our illustrious champ, got beat by some nobody. Man, that looked easy as hell. I want a shot against Zedja. I know I don't deserve a title shot yet, so it don't have to be on the line, But I already know I can beat you.

Challenged:

Unright vs Rick Garrard (Buried Alive Match)
The Drifter vs Zedja (Non-Title)
Rick GarrardPosted on 11/06/05 at 05:34:34

Unright, being the man of the people that I now am, [waits for the cheers of the fans] I will indeed accept your challenge for me to soil my hands in a buried alive match.  This ain't no tonka truck type of dirt pile that we'll be playing in and you should know better than anyone the type of damage the double tough double up does when it folds you in half and then breaks you in two.  [walks off]

[crosses in front of the camera walking the other direction]

[walks back to stop in front of the camera]

Oh yeah, one more thing.   Psymin... don't think I've forgotten about you.  Your time is coming. [walks off]

Challenge accepted:
Unright vs Rick Garrard -- buried alive match

Challenge issued for week 12:
Rick Garrard and Mamushi vs Psymin and Justin Sane -- double elimination tag team match

Challenge issued for week 13 (should I win the buried alive match, otherwise, I will take week 13 off to honor the buried alive stipulation):
Rick Garrard vs Psymin -- 30 minute iron man match
CarlzillaPosted on 11/07/05 at 07:39:45

OOC: A better sub for a shoot would have been a submission only cage match...but that worked ok I guess. I'll post more IC stuff later.
MGDukesterPosted on 11/09/05 at 18:13:39

<Total Darkness, the usual sounds of laughter is heard>

Another has felt the impact of the Brain Drain, the most devastating finisher move in the TNMWA at this time.

I've come here for a challenge, yet I've seen minimal opposition at best.  Where is this top tier level of competition that I've heard so much about?

If anyone thinks that they have what it takes to stop my path of devastation, I challenge you to step up now.  Face me in a Finishers match.

<laughs>

If you dare

<laughs>
Rick GarrardPosted on 11/10/05 at 02:07:10

Dukester, thou shalt not have issued a decree of having the "most devastating finisher".  I, for one, have to take issue with such a ludicrous statement.  Anyone that have ever been folded in two with the double tough double up will tell you just how painful it is.  Then there is the "Weak Shove" that my ex-partner Unright loves to use.  Heck, even THAT is more powerful than this hold you claim to have an impact.  Although my dance card is already pretty full for the upcoming card, if no one answers your challenge by Friday, and if I am only booked for one match up to that point, I will in fact take your challenge and show you just how nutsy cuckoo your false statement is.
americamamushiPosted on 11/10/05 at 02:23:00

America Mamushi: Rick, I look forward to teaming with you again.  I think this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

[hr]

Landon Luna: Since Carlzilla was such a push over I'll lay out an open challenge to anyone that wants to face me in a submission match.  Hopefully *yawn* whoever accepts will be a slightly harder challenge.
PulsarPosted on 11/10/05 at 02:53:55

Pulsar: Landon, I just want to quickly pick up that challenge from you. Let's face it, I suck. I mean, I really suck. The haven't pinned a soul here yet, nor have I made anyone tap. And trust me, you won't be the first. Maybe you'll get DQ'ed, maybe counted out. I don't know which, and I doubt either, being that it's a submission match. Either way, here's looking forward to seeing you in the ring buddy.

Pulsar vs. Landon Luna
Submission Match
Accepted.
ZedjaPosted on 11/10/05 at 08:10:31

OOC: I'm back. And still the champ I see :)

IC: I'm surprised nobody else but Rebel INS challenged me this round. This means that he is the first of the challengers for the title. I will still face two comers in non-title matches of their choice and if they win they'll enter the fray for the title.

I must say that it's refreshing to see that there is somebody that is actually able to beat me fair and square. But it was a non-title match after all and I guess I just wanted a challenger so I didn't do my best.

I've also gotten a bunch of questions about what happened in my match with Bret Hart last week. I've admired the man for years and I think he deserved a better send-off than the one that WWE gave him. So when I had a chance to make him look good by beating a champion, I let him.

Now, I must say that I had wished for the match to be longer, but I must say that I wasn't as focused as I wanted to be due to my title match coming up. I believe that it would have been a better match if it had been earlier in the show, since I would have gotten more time to rest between matches.

Drifter: So you want a shot at me? Ok, in the first match of card 12 I'll show you what I got. I will still fight my other two afterwards.
