TNMWA - 08/14/05 - Show 3

CarlzillaPosted on 08/14/05 at 11:40:12

Rick Garrard pinned Rebel INS with the Double Tough Double Up in 0:07:40.
Rating: ****

Highlights:
- Garrard opens the match with some strikes and follows with a Yakuza Kick...but, unlike usual he didn't follow up with the Double Tough Double up, instead he went for a Ziplock.
- Rebel INS battles back and throws Garrard out of the ring. INS hits a piledriver on the outside and gets back into the ring...Garrard was able to make it in by 17.
- Garrard sidesteps a 1001110101 hits a spinebuster and yells "Arriba Chico Santana".
- Yakuza Kick from Garrard, Double Tough Double Up follows and Rebel INS is done.
- Fans absolutely hate Rick Garrard...he's drawing massive heel heat.

Carlzilla pinned Psymin with the Tokyo Stomp in 0:07:05.
Rating: ***

Highlights:
- Psymin opens the match with some stiff stikes.
- Rick Garrard and Unright come to ringside.
- Psymin unloads some more offense on Carlzilla.
- Pysmin hits the Pset-up, and follows with a Psymin Psays.
1...2...Rick Garrard breaks the count.
- Carlzilla fights back with a Godzilla Suplex, but only gets a 2.
- Carlzilla throws Psymin outside of the ring, and Unright hits the Weak Shove.
- Psymin makes it back in.
- Carlzilla hits the Tokyo Stomp and gets the cheap win.
- Despite his win, Carlzilla was totally outclassed in that match.

Jason Morgan pinned Phudjie with the No Mercy in 0:11:46.
Rating: 1/2*

Highlights:
- Phudjie attacks before the bell. (It seems like this happens in every damn show.)
- Phudjie hits some big moves including a Mongolian Sleeper but can't keep Morgan down.
- Morgan brings a chair into the ring.
- Morgan hits a brain buster onto the chair.
- Morgan controls the rest of the match, eventually hitting the No Mercy for the win.

America Mamushi pinned Keiji Muto with the Excedrin Headache #616 in 0:06:16.
Rating: *** 1/2

Hightlights:
- Muto makes an apperance in TNMWA!
- America Mamushi and Keiji Muto work without any hardcore spots.
- Mamushi hits the Ode to Muta(which is a shining wizard) for a 2.9, Muta hits the Shining Wizard directly after for a 2.9 (best spot I have ever seen in TNM.)
- Mamushi hits a few more moves and ends with an excedrin headache #616 to shock the entire crowd and pick up a huge win.
(quick explaination on this: I needed 10 wrestlers to have the battle royal...with only 9 people signed up it seemed like the perfect oppertunity to bring in a real world wrestler for a 'one night only' kinda deal. Mamushi had no match yet, and he really likes Keiji Muto...so I brought him in.)

[Chairs Legal Match]:
Zedja pinned Unright with the Prowl of the Feline in 0:08:47.
Rating: ** 1/4

- Zedja and Unright battled everywhere in the arena.
- There was pretty much no wrestling coming from Unright, just foriegn object shots followed by a move or two then more object shots.
- Zedja tried to keep the weapons out of his arsenal, but gave in when he won with a chair assisted Prowl of the Feline.

Triangle Cage Match:
Carlzilla defeated America Mamushi and Unright when Carlzilla pinned Unright
with the Tokyo Stomp in 0:01:02.
Rating: **

Highlights:
- The least spectacular cage match in the history of wrestling. It took longer to set up the cage than it did for the match to end.
- Carlzilla pins a battered Unright with a Tokyo Stomp before Mamushi could even really get himself involved in the match.

3-Man Battle Royal:
Rick Garrard won a 3-man Battle Royal:
x Phudjie threw out Zedja in 0:00:44
x The Rick threw out Phudjie in 0:01:58
Rating: **

Highlights:
- Another unspectacular match.
- Phudjie threw out Zedja.
- Garrard clotheslined Phudjie out about a minute later.

Card rating: ** 1/4

Well this was a good card until the main events hit, I wouldn't have guessed they would have ended quite like that.

I'm having trouble deciding who the MVP is on this card. Rick Garrard could have been because he won two matches and was in the match of the night as well, but he's already got a spot in the title match...Carlzilla could be because he won two matches, but they where both cheap wins. America Mamushi could be because he beat Muto and didn't get pinned in the cage match...

I think I'm going to give it to Mamushi...his match with Muto was pretty over, and he didn't have time to do anything in the cage match, but I'm sure he would have looked good there as well. So as of right now; Rick Garrard, Unright, and America Mamushi are all in the 4 way TNMWA Title match.

Honorable mention goes to Rebel INS who debuted in the best match of the night.

Next card should be up Monday.
ZedjaPosted on 08/14/05 at 12:08:02

OOC: What the hell happened? The matches with 3 wrestlers in them ended before they even begun. I actually don't know how to react to that. Other than that Unright is making himself out to be the bad seed of TNAWA and Garrard yet again gets a great match. Great debut for the new guy. As for my match against Unright, I think it was a great outcome really, not because I won, but it became a classic face vs heel match.

IC: Once again I won a singles match against the MVP of the previous week. This means I deserve a chance at the title. Now, America Mamushi on the other hand got pinned four times in the previous weeks before this, and now he gets a shot at the title?? That's not right. Not right at all. That's why I challenge America to a match. (OOC - Here's where a wrestler would demand that if he won that match he'd take America's spot, but I can't do that since he wouldn't accept the match then ;) So I'm in a bind there)

I also challenge the only other wrestler who is undefeated in singles matches - Carlzilla.
JustinPosted on 08/14/05 at 15:58:25

While I may not be undefeated in singles competition.... I pinned Mamushi last week & I won this week so why aren't I being concidered for a title shot? I do have respect for Mamushi, but, I'm here to win some gold. I'm joining Zedja in a challenge agaist Mamushi next week. But this time instead of 3 man battle royals or cage matches... lets make it an elimination style Triple Threat Match! Last time Phudjie felt a "One Man Con-Chair-to" let's see just who will be the next.

And if there's anyone else out there that thinks they've got what it takes to get in the ring with me. You'll find that there is NO MERCY waiting for you.
ZedjaPosted on 08/14/05 at 16:28:32

Last week I won against the First weeks MVP and this week I won against Last weeks MVP. That's why I deserve to be in the run for the title. And that's why I challenged Mamushi in a singles match. He may have been this weeks MVP, but I feel his results from the previous weeks should cancel out his shot at the title.
JustinPosted on 08/14/05 at 18:43:08

Hey Zedja, I don't care who you beat & how many so called MVP's you can take down. If you don't want to get in the ring with me, I understand. I mean fear is a powerful motivator. If you want to take Mamushi in a single's only match, you 2 can have your little "man date" next week. But, when you've finally gotten your fear under control & are ready to face me, I'll be here. Sooner or later we will be in the ring together.

But since I'm going to have to wait, I'm sending out an open challenge to ANYONE that thinks they have what it takes to beat me one on one. But be warned: there's No Mercy waiting for anyone who dares to cross that line.
ZedjaPosted on 08/14/05 at 19:12:07

Since the next weeks matches seems to be the last way into the title tournament, this has nothing to do with fear. It has to do with getting into the tournament. I can face you anytime, but not next week.

Tell you what, I can do you one better. I challenge you to a fight. Not this week, but the one after it. But let's make it interesting. Why not make it a cage match?
JustinPosted on 08/14/05 at 19:18:57

Zedja, you seem to miss my point. I want in that title match too. And I thought maybe you'd be man enough to see just who out of the 3 of us was the better man. Besides not only are cage matches cliche, but, like last time, they can be a huge disappointment. Why not go one step further & let's make it really interesting.... we'll face off on the day you want... but in the match I want: a no dq, no countout, falls count anywhere TEXAS DEATH MATCH! That is if you've got the guts.

My open challenge for this up coming show still stands. I don't care who it is, what type of match it is, how long the match takes, or how many times I have to wrestle in one night. Something's gotta give.
ZedjaPosted on 08/14/05 at 19:28:14

You want it, you got it. But as I said, not this week.

OOC: We are both faces.. Remember that ;)
americamamushiPosted on 08/14/05 at 19:54:59

Zedja, you want a match you got it... and you know what?  Let's make it for my title shot after all.  I showed in my match with Muto that I am a force to be reckoned with in TNMWA.  So you and me, one on one for my title shot.

And Jason, I'll tell you what.  You don't think I deserve my title shot?  Well once I win the title me and all my little Mamushiacs will take you down in my first title defence.

Stick that in your sushi and roll it.

OOC:  Whoo!  I finally won!  Hopefully I'll beat Zedja so I don't look like a complete doof. ;)

EDIT: Fixed.  Sorry Justin, I knew that didn't look right ;D
ZedjaPosted on 08/14/05 at 20:05:09

OOC: Yeah, not a bad win at that... The problem is... If I win our match and get a MVP at the last card... Then there will be a problem :D However if I lose, my winning streak will be over and I won't be in the title tournament at all.

BTW, I'm going to act as if that Battle Royal never happened, since it's almost as if it didn't.. ::)
JustinPosted on 08/14/05 at 20:19:10

OCC:Mushi, Justin is my name but my wrestler is JASON. Zedja we're both faces but our rivalry can be like that of Steve Austin & Shawn Michaels when they won the WWF tag team title, or like Benoit & Jericho when they were trying to get at Austin's title in 2001. :)

rebelins313Posted on 08/14/05 at 20:38:38

I'd like to try and kill two birds with one stone this week.  After my opening match last week I kept my eye on the competition and noticed the injustice that Psymin faced in his match with Carlzilla so I'd like to extend my hand to Psymin to team up with me this week against the two men who caused him to lose a match he was dominating in Rick Garrard and Unright.  Although my match with Garrard was a good opener here for me in the company I'd still like to come out on the winning side.  What do you say Psymin, would you like to take some revenge out?
Rick GarrardPosted on 08/15/05 at 04:12:03

On behalf of my partner Unright, we will accept your challenge Rebel INS as long as your new partner Psymin agrees to team with you.  And you will see just how it feels to get the Double Tough Weak Shove.

As for you Rebel, you accused me last card prior to our match of being JUST a hardcore wrestler.  The only major hardcore spot I have hit so far is the 450 splash through a table on Zedja.  I tend not to need to resort to gimmick shots since my finisher is just so darned powerful.  I think when it comes to cheating and shenanigans you should look throughout our bad guy locker room, as there are a lot of characters way more shadier than I.  It's just that I know when to use the weapons to their fullest extent.  Arriba Chico Santana!
UnrightPosted on 08/15/05 at 05:13:25

OOC: Damn what a blow-out of a week... Oh well..

First off, let me say I'm damn glad The Rick signed us up for a match against that INS guy and the Psyminiscule one. That pipsqueak's got a thrashing coming to him.

Carlzilla.. I respect you. But I gotta punish you for making me look bad. You and me, one-on-one, in a LADDER MATCH! And at the top of that ladder is a contract. And that contract states that the winner books the loser's match on the next card! You're about to feel the WEEEEEEAAAAAAKKK Shove!

/with no apologies to Monty Brown
CarlzillaPosted on 08/15/05 at 08:03:42

You know something Unright, you wanna tell me you "respect me" and blah blah blah, well, I don't and won't ever respect your style in the ring, and I will never see you as an equal. I am Godzilla's gift to wrestling here in TNMWA, and I'll accept your ladder match just to prove that I can wrestle any style. Hell, I'll do you one better, how about a 2/3 falls TLC match...same stipulations, except now the ladder serves only to beat you down, and we win real wrestling style, with a pinfall or submission.

[OOC:] Just so it's clear how the MVP works...it's really just the MVP of that one card, so Zedja, I'm aware of your winning streak, it's just that Mamushi had a more impressive card that one night...I know that isn't the fairest way to deal with it, but I promise that everyone will get a title shot in due time.

Also, to figure the last title shot, everyone not already having a slot is going to be in a battle royal for the spot so everyone has a chance. Mamushi has put his shot up against Zedja so if Zedja wins that and the battle royal he will get to choose the 4th wrestler for the title shot.

I should have a card preview up later tonight or tomorrow
ZedjaPosted on 08/15/05 at 08:18:38

OOC: I just acted like how a real wrestler would act if it was a real federation.

In the cases of the previous cards the MVP's were clear. In a real federation I actually would be more surprised if the wrestlers accepted Mamushi's entry to the tournament, considering how he wrestled in the previous cards.

Somebody had to complain and I decided that I was in a position to do so. But you were actually in a better position to do so since you've won more matches.

Also, I hope a face wins the Battle Royal for the last spot so that it's 2 on 2. If I win both matches I'm going to pick a face, unless I lose to Mamushi, then I'm going to pick me ;)
americamamushiPosted on 08/16/05 at 10:02:19

OOC: I'd just like to say that I think Carlzilla has done a great job thus far. *applause* :)
ZedjaPosted on 08/16/05 at 11:05:15

OOC: I agree. But it seems some people are losing interest. We can't let that happen :D
Rick GarrardPosted on 08/16/05 at 14:50:08

not staying with it, is typical in our ADHD world ... three cards is the most that most people's attention spans allow them nowadays.  Heck, most people never make it five cards in on their own circuits.
ZedjaPosted on 08/16/05 at 14:59:13

OOC: *whistles* innocently. Actually I just restart them over and over fine tuning it and getting rid of dead wrestlers, umm, I mean weight.. Wrestlers that can't get higher than a 1,5 match rating even if their lives depended on it. And because I remove wrestlers I have redo the match drawings so that the replacement wrestlers get a fair shot.
CarlzillaPosted on 08/17/05 at 07:21:13

[OOC:]I'm sure this isn't going to help the people loosing interest, but I just got a big project at work, so I'm not going to be able to get the next show up until friday. Sorry guys, this won't happen that often as my job is usually pretty slow.
Psymin1Posted on 08/17/05 at 17:26:20

OOC: Sorry guys, I have not lost interest, I've just been up north on vacation since Friday.  Anyway, I also think Carlzilla is doing an excellent job at this.  And again, I lose, at least it was only 1 match this week.  I guess no one answered my challange from last week, oh well.

IC:

Rick Garrard...look at you!  You just keep on winning, don't you?  Well, I, for one, am absolutely sick of it!  Next show, I want my god damned rematch from the the first show, this way you cant screw up my victory!  But...this time, lets make it a little more interesting.  Rick Garrard versus "The Originator" Psymin...TABLES MATCH!  It's up to you now Rick...Accept, or expose to the world your true color...YELLOW!

(OOC: For some reason, if you want a different match type, or Carlzilla doesnt have this type of match, feel free to change it.)

~Psymin
Rick GarrardPosted on 08/18/05 at 05:51:20

Psymin, you... of ALL people... should know not to challenge The Rick.  For it is I, the Yakuza Kickin', 450 splashin' Double Tough one, that you have challenged.  Do you realize just how painful the Double Tough Double Up is gonna be when your arms go flailing in the air as your back crashes through the obscenely expensive folding tables used here in the TNMWA?  Psymin, to sum up my Warrior like ramblings, I accept.  Arriba Chico Santana!

ZedjaPosted on 08/20/05 at 10:27:29

OOC: It looks like I'm going to be pretty beat(en) after this card is over.
