Can anyone help me please?

Somehow, I've done something to my PC so that when I try to run TNM, I get an error message saying the licence file has gone.

How do I fix this? (Beware, I'm not very technical)

Thanks

try installing a new instance of TNM on your computer and see if that one has the same problem, that might help give Oliver or anyone else in the know some extra insight to what might have happened.

I don't know what you mean by "new instance"?  I've tried to load the program many times but nothing works.  I just get the same message saying the licence file has gone and it won't work without it!

install TNM again into a completely new folder so that there are two TNMs on your computer.

I've tried that but now my registration data isn't working.

I'm sure anyone reading this is convinced I'm a complete idiot and I can't exactly deny that at the moment can I?

Come on, someone out there must be able to help me!!

Re-install to the same directory that this TNM is located. It should create a new one. From there you'll have to re-enter the registration information again.

As I said I've tried that but when I do that, my registration codes do not work.
Rick GarrardPosted on 05/07/05 at 03:38:53

are you using TNM7FE registration info on TNM7SE?

They are two different sets of registration info aren't they?  (I don't remember because it's been so long ago that I installed them)
americamamushiPosted on 05/07/05 at 05:04:51

Indeed they are RG
Rick GarrardPosted on 05/07/05 at 05:48:20

then that is probably the answer to the trouble this fella is having with his codes, eh?

I bet he needs to download tnm7fe to use the codes that he has.
ianclarkPosted on 05/07/05 at 11:01:22

No, it was a 2nd Edition file that Oliver sent me.

I just wish I could turn back time and undo whatever stupid mistake I made which means I can no longer use TNM
americamamushiPosted on 05/07/05 at 19:35:08

Try shootin' Olly an e-mail if you haven't already
ianclarkPosted on 05/07/05 at 22:07:54

I already have, but thanks for the advice
rey619Posted on 05/08/05 at 16:27:19

Try installing TNM on another computer.. might help you isolate the problem. If you can't install it on another computer either, it's probably something to do with the codes.. if you can, it's got to do with your computer.

HELP ME!!!!!

Oliver, where are you when I need you -  I have so many ideas that I can't use!!!!
Rick GarrardPosted on 05/14/05 at 07:09:43

have you tried email to Oliver's hexxacon.de addy? or any of his other email addys that have been posted in other threads in the past?

He usually answers at least one of them.

Thanks,

Oliver has solved my licence file problem but I have a new problem - See "TNM disappears" thread.
