2 Hours after the card finished and Y2Simps is in the middle of the ring in an empty arena... with his head in his hands, he is quite clearly concerned as to what the devious Critic of the Dawn will have in line for him.

Where does this leave our hero and his brave tag team partner... only time will tell... stay tuned to this channel for further info.

I want a rematch for the tag titles, and to keep you guys from stealing another win, let's make it an I Quit match.

Well well well.  You were, of course, defeated in the end.  How does that make you feel, Mr. Simpson?  Are you shocked that one who puts as little effort into his matches as I was able to nevertheless defeat you in our little series of sorts?

There's a reason that I was triumphant, Mr. Simpson.  And that is because, since this little feud of sorts began, I have had your number.  I understand how you think.  What you dream of.  What you aspire to.  I I knew that you would make a mistake.  And you did.  You overextended yourself dramatically in this, the most important of all cards thus far for you.

Tell me, Mr. Simpson.  Did you honestly expect to be victorious against myself and Triple R when you spent all of your strength in a brutal deathmatch earlier in the same evening?  A wise man would have attempted to gain a day of rest between these two important bouts.  You, however, did not.  Do you want to know why, Mr. Simpson?  Because for your entire TNMWA stay, you have been preoccupied.  Preoccupied by looking strong in front of the audience, by earning their cheers.  Nobody will deny that you are a gifted wrestler, Mr. Simpson.  But you are throwing away your talents by playing to the crowd.  You need only look at history to see that your hard work and sacrifice will earn you nothing...

If you ask a perfect stranger about famous wrestlers, three names are likely to come up.  Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, and The Ultimate Warrior.  Yet all of these men achieved great success despite lackluster performance in the ring.  Why is that?  Because they knew how to get the job done.  Hogan knew who to talk to to ensure he would face only the opponents he knew he could defeat.  Andre was never much of a wrestler, but he used his size to his advantage and thus went undefeated for years.  And Warrior... the man was barely coherant on a good day, but steroids and a flair for the melodramatic made him hugely popular.  None of these men advanced to the top through their hard work and sacrifice, Mr. Simpson.  None of them.

Ah, but you might argue that there have been wrestlers who have managed to claw their way to the top through sheer grit and determination.  But what has it got them, Mr. Simpson?  Mick Foley sacrificed his body for the fans, and consequently had to retire just as he was entering what should have been the prime of his career!  Steve Austin's neck is badly injured enough that he will likely never wrestle regularly again.  Bret Hart gave his all for years, and was thanked with a screwjob, a career ending injury, and a stroke.  And I don't even want to contemplate the things Michaels had to do to convince Mr. McMahon that he was worthy of his spot.

The point is, Mr. Simpson, I can help you.  I see that you have some potential, or else I would not have wasted my time with you.  I can help you reach that potential, just as I did with Rodderick.  You've no doubt noticed that he's been doing much better since he came under my employ.  I believe that you will be just as successful once I have retrained you and taught you to discard your desire to play to the crowd.  Therefore, Mr. Simpson, the stipulation I will impose on you is this - you will end your association with Mr. Brice and come to my employ under the same terms as Rodderick.  Once there, you will allow me to train you and to help you reach your full potential.  None of this is optional, Mr. Simpson... Lee.  And while I'm sure you will chafe under my leadership at first, you will come to appreciate in time that what I am doing is in your own best interest.

So Lee... Welcome to Team Workrate.

Memorandum to Critic of the Dawn.

From the Employment Law office of Gudni Bergsson.

My client...Mr Lee "Y2Simps" Simpson has instructed me to inform you that as of 10.50pm UK time he would rather quit the TNMWA than join Team Workrate.

He hereby terminates his tag team partnership with Lee Brice and wishes to serve notice of resignation on the management of TNMWA.  He understands that his record will be wiped from the rankings of this organisation.

As a parting shot he has asked me to inform you that you have ended the TNMWA career of one of the most promising athletes.

He has asked that you accept a challenge on behalf of Lee Brice for a 1 on 1 straight wrestling match with no stipulations.  Lee Brice we hope you have no issue with this and that you beat the Critic down as a tribute to your former Tag Team partner.

End.
