WWE Win-Loss Statistics for 2009

AllPowerfulGARTHPosted on 01/03/10 at 22:26:52

Just because I never seem to post anymore doesn't mean I don't still keep my WWE win-loss statistics, and here they are for 2009. You'se guys are probably familiar with this by now, but here's my copied-and-pasted explanation just in case.

I keep a running win-loss point ranking system for WWE. It includes all matches that can be seen by conventional means: RAW, SmackDown!, ECW, Superstars, Saturday Night's Main Event and pay-per-views. Here are the rankings for 2009.

The system is pretty simple. Minus one point for a loss, plus one point for a no-contest, plus two points for a win and plus three points for a title win. Losses in multi-superstar matches (triple threats, fatal four-ways, etc.) are accrued for everyone who doesn't win, but the one-point penalty only applies if the superstar takes the fall. So in an elimination match, such as the Elimination Chamber, everyone except the winner (in the case of the RAW one at No Way Out, Edge) loses a point for getting defeated. But for a one-fall match, such as the Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho vs. Big Show match at Survivor Series, only Big Show would take the penalty for being the one to take the fall -- Jericho accrues a loss, but that loss doesn't count against him because he didn't take the fall.

I do have stats for almost all those years, actually -- I'm just missing a few months in 2004. But compiling them all together into one document is a time-consuming project, as you might imagine.

You might spy it on this board one of these days.

How can MVP and Mark Henry tie when MVP has 4 more losses and only one No Contest?
