Last night's RAW

-- Like the new theme song.

-- MSG... cool seeing RAW without the big stage and using the old school hard camera with a lot of awkward ringside camera shots.

-- Sheamus!!!!

-- Boom boom boom~!  Go Kofi.

The Sheamus build has been nice.

And I think that was a breakout performance by Kofi.  He's just about there.

I read somewhere that they are trying to make Sheamus look scary like Vader from the early 90's. Just beating up people for the sake of beating them up.

And Kofi stepped up into the spotlight at just the right time. Good to see some newer talent getting praise... how long will it last?

I think that is an oversimplification of Vader's gimmick. It was more about him being an uncontrollable beast - one that could hit hard, toss his opponents around like ragdolls, and move fast with great displays of agility for his size.

So far the Sheamus thing is just he likes being a bully and will keep reminding you of it. There really isn't much more to it than that. Quite frankly what was more interesting is when Mike Knox was on Raw and when asked why he attacked certain people he calmly said something along the lines of "I don't know."

He sure could use a mouthpiece like Vader had in Harley Race, though. Not one that would entirely shut him up, but one that would build up his guy and then let the wrestler say exactly what he is going to do. I know managers are pretty much extinct in WWE... unless of course it is one of the divas and they are just there for eye candy.
