Heartbreaking news?

I just came back from my holiday in Greece and found out that Bret Hart is in talks with WWE to return as an on screen persona. But of course not as a wrestler.

Appearently they started the talks after Vickie Guerrero left.

Also it seems this is the reason for the ending between CM Punk/Undertaker at the PPV.

Might also be the reason between the McMahon/Long sketches.

I hope it's true because he was pretty good on the mic and since some of his family is on Smackdown it could get pretty interesting.

I'd actually almost rather him in the "Godfather" (Mario Puzo, not Pimp) role that he pseudo assumed when he was healing his leg, back in the day.

Run "The Family" from the sidelines, sort of thing.

But.... Hart as a GM would definately make for interesting angles, especially during PPVs or cross-over matches with, say, DX...

I just watched the footage from the Eddie Tribute from yesterday's Smackdown and I can't believe that after all this time it still brought tears to my eyes.

I think that I might need to rethink my top 5 wrestlers list. Eddie is on it, but not as #1. But then again, if Bret Hart passes I might start bawling at that tribute too.

The Eddie tribute was awesome and moving ... my wife was in tears almost the whole time ...

we were having a conversation about how if Kane and Batista were still in a condition to work as hard as they used to it would be a pretty good rivalry ... but after the Eddie tribute we agreed that Eddie never stopped working hard in the ring ... this is why he is consistently on people's "top 5" of all time

I thought it was a very classy tribute.  And I'm glad to see Vickie back.  She's a heat magnet.

Also, I can't say the same for Batista, but I have always thought Kane works hard for a man of his age and size.  When he's not in slugfests with someone like Khali, I can't remember a bad match he's had in a long time.  He's not going to wow you, but I always enjoy it.

I *STILL* say Show and Kane should have been allowed to finish that "wrestling match" they had on Raw a few years back. EASILLY my favourite match from either of them in recent memory. Pity it ended up being a no contest :-/

Kane as ECW champ was pretty cool, too. I'd like to think that Glenn Jacobs would have been champ in the old ECW, had he ever been "demoted" from WWF.
