Another World Champ to TNA
Pulsar | Posted on 04/15/09 at 04:05:29 I read somewhere that TNA is close to signing another former World Champ...Who's left and in half decent wrestling shape??? Rob Van Dam (doesn't want to tour, so possible) Raven (Can't see him re-returning) Shane Douglas (See Raven) The Rock (won't leave Hollywood) Hogan (Can't walk) Goldberg (Think he has a speed channel contract) Brock Lesner (Signed w/ UFC though) anyone left? |
Zedja | Posted on 04/15/09 at 12:34:53 Ric Flair Macho Man Lex Luger JBL Sid But who's to say it has to be WWE. We have former ROH champions too. |
JustinPossible | Posted on 04/16/09 at 00:12:26 Who said it had to be a World Champ that held a single's title... what a bout a former World Tag Team Champ... its a cheap play that TNA would use. |
Snabbit888 | Posted on 04/16/09 at 00:32:32 WCW did something similar when they said a "former WWF champion" was coming to WCW and it turned out to be Rick Martel. |
psz | Posted on 04/16/09 at 01:14:22 The Sandman and Sabu have both been ECW champ back when PWI considered it a world title. Sabu is also a former NWA World Champ. Steve Corino, Brent Albright and Adam Pearce could count, too. |
Unright | Posted on 04/16/09 at 03:58:04 My money is on Sid. |
piperfan18 | Posted on 04/16/09 at 18:11:42 didn't they say Al Snow was a former world champ? |
Drunken Fool | Posted on 04/16/09 at 18:18:47 David Arquette, LOL Hey, it's not impossible, it is TNA and Vince Russo were talking about here |
JustinPossible | Posted on 04/16/09 at 20:35:45didn't they say Al Snow was a former world champ? They said Snow was a former World Tag Team Championship partner of Foley. |
JustinPossible | Posted on 04/17/09 at 04:28:13 TNA Mobile sent a text message to fans during tonight's broadcast of TNA Impact about unlocking the identity of a new signee. "TNA has signed a former world champion from another organization. Unlock the identity this Sunday on TNA's Lockdown PPV." |
psz | Posted on 04/17/09 at 14:40:36 Hmm... Taz(z) is a former ECW World and TV champ... ... And an announcer... |
JustinPossible | Posted on 04/17/09 at 20:05:47Yo,Afew hints about what may be coming up on Sunday at Lockdown.... but now TNA has sent out a new text alert saying they have signed a second former World Champion from another organization set to debut at the PPV as well. |
JustinPossible | Posted on 04/18/09 at 02:33:36 One more thing.... who said that the former World Champion had to be a man? |
JustinPossible | Posted on 04/20/09 at 04:28:16 Okay for those that aren't watching.... TNA's first big surprise: BOBBY LASHLEY... He's a former ECW Champ but I wouldn't cal him a "World Champion" since the new ECW Title isn't concidered a World Title anymore (even the WWE just calls it the ECW Championship) |
Zedja | Posted on 04/20/09 at 06:31:19 The other debut was Stevie Richards.. Hmm. |
JustinPossible | Posted on 04/20/09 at 11:55:18 But Richards has been on Impact for months now doing "Dr. Stevie" with Abyss & Daffney. So does that really count? Granted he is a former ECW World Tag Team Champ (back when being a champion in ECW meant something). |

Wait, I take that back... having a title in ECW did mean you always had something handy on which to do lines of cocaine. Let the hate rain down... not exactly my fault that the truth often hurts. |
Pulsar | Posted on 04/20/09 at 18:32:04 But impaler, was that even necessary? |
