Super Eric

ThnikkamanPosted on 04/18/08 at 05:39:12

Ok, help me out here TNA faithful.

Eric Young is Super Eric. Super Eric is Eric Young. Same guy. TNA acknowledges this on their broadcasts.

So, it is supposed to be Eric Young/Kaz in the title match tonight. However Eric Young comes out as Super Eric. They win the titles. Cornette wants Young to take off the Super Eric mask. Eric refuses. Cornette declares the titles vacant because Super Eric competes in the match, not Eric Young. Again, TNA has acknowledged that they are the same guy?

Does this make any sense to anyone?

Its not like it was supposed to be Christopher Daniels, and he comes out as Curry Man. That I could understand, since Curry Man has never been identified as Daniels by TNA and in fact Daniels was "fired" so he could use the Curry Man gimmick.

So how does this play out? Can Eric Young no longer compete as Super Eric unless Cornette signs Super Eric into a match? And then, isn't it just Eric Young in a mask anyway, and everyone knows that its Eric Young?

I just don't get it.

*Side note: I did not watch TNA (because I do not like TNA) but I do read their results each week off their own site (because I do like to know what is going on) so I may be missing a few things here. This just seemed really hard to understand. Even by TNA standards.

It's called "We don't want these guys with the titles YET but we have no other story line to work with so we'll go with this for now"

Classic "we overbooked the other title feuds and left one out" syndrome.

PROTIP: Vince Russo is booking things.

So lets see....

We have
"Black Machismo" Jay Lethal  & So Cal Val: a second rate Randy Savage & Elizabeth

Black Reign: a poor attempt to make a "darker" Goldust

"Stone Cold" Shark Boy: 'Nuff said

And now "Super" Eric Young: reminds me of the old Gregory Helms/ Hurricane bits.

Is there anything original left in the minds of TNA creative?

At least they didn't copy the idea of Money in the Bank...

... Ohwait...
JakePosted on 04/19/08 at 03:27:33

At least they don't try hiring every recent WWE relea... ;D

Why are you trying to make sense of TNA booking? You'll give yourself a migraine.

maybe we should send Jeff Jarrett and Dixie Carter your WWF circuit King and they can see how to properly book a promotion
